I am writing this after five months of constant frustration, and I want this to be clearly understood by management and anyone considering doing business here. This problem began in October 2025. After trading in my 2020 Nissan, I requested cancellation of my warranty and GAP coverage. From the very beginning, getting assistance from the Finance Department was difficult. They rarely answered the phone. I had to call repeatedly -- sometimes multiple times a week -- just to get basic information. I completed the required cancellation forms and when I noticed my mailing address was incorrect, I immediately called to correct it. After repeatedly following up, I was eventually told by Daniel, the Finance Director, that everything had already been submitted and processed. I was specifically told that I would receive my refund by mid-December and that I did not need to keep calling or worrying about it. December came and went. No refund. At that point, I resumed calling. Once again, the Finance Department would not answer. Emails went unanswered. I had to involve BDC (Amanda attempted to assist me), speak with sales representatives, and even sales managers -- all of whom were aware of the situation and attempted to contact Finance on my behalf. Despite multiple departments being involved, nothing was resolved. Then in January, after months of being told everything had been processed, I was suddenly informed that the cancellation had not actually been completed and that I needed to provide proof of payoff documentation. This raises a serious question: if the cancellation had truly been processed in October as I was told, why was payoff documentation suddenly required in January? I immediately contacted my bank, obtained the payoff confirmation the same day, and sent it over without delay. I asked multiple times if there was anything else needed from me to avoid further issues. It is now the end of February. I still have not received my refund. For five months, I have been calling, emailing, following up, correcting misinformation, and trying to get someone to take accountability. The only consistent response has been vague statements such as "we sent the request" or "they'll be back Monday." Five months is not a processing delay. It reflects serious internal disorganization and lack of accountability within the Finance Department. As someone who works in the automotive industry myself, I understand how cancellations are handled. This timeline is not normal. Customers should not have to chase a dealership for months to receive money that legally belongs to them. This has been exhausting, disappointing, and completely avoidable had proper follow-up and professionalism been exercised from the beginning. I strongly urge management to review how the Finance Department is handling customer funds and post-sale processes. read more

I went in with my boyfriend yesterday to test drive a stinger they had available and automatically the guy there (Ryan Pennington) immediately printed out papers for signing and when we mentioned that we were going to just test drive it he suddenly got an attitude and was saying that "well we need full coverage insurance for you to test drive." He also said that the car wasn't available which completely contradicted what he was trying to do which was sell it. He immediately brought papers and everything to sign. It was very confusing and annoying. Today, we went again and met with Cody and he was great!!!! He didn't even ask for insurance when we asked to test drive it and even pointed out other cars that would be good for us. If you go here, ask for Cody!! I had a very frustrating experience with one of the salesmen Ryan Pennington and He told me that I had to have full coverage insurance or I wouldn't be allowed to drive the car, and he was rude and dismissive when I tried to ask questions. I came back the next day and spoke with a different employee Cody who was polite, helpful, and explained everything clearly. I was able to get help without any issues and I did not need full coverage insurance after all. The difference in customer service was night and day. I started out by getting yelled at for sitting in one of their cars-- "they're supposed to be locked, someone messed up, you could be homeless, get out!" I purchased an Acura MDX here after specifically asking for a vehicle identical to the one I lost--AWD, sport handling, same look and feel. I even pointed out that this car looked like mine but was missing the AWD badge. That should've been a perfect opportunity for transparency--but instead, they said nothing and let me assume it had AWD. I only found out it was 2WD weeks later when I went to register it with my insurance--not from the dealership, not from the salesperson, and not from the manager. When I called to confront them and ask about returning it, I was told that "wasn't an option." Later, I learned I did have a legal right to return it, but they chose to lie by omission and delay until it was too late. The cherry on top? The voicemail from the store manager after I confronted them. He literally said: "It sounds like there was a bit of confusion, but I wanted to follow up because Evan is newer, and I know sometimes things don't get communicated clearly..." "I listened back to the call, and I didn't hear him explicitly say it was AWD... but I understand why you were confused." So just to be clear: * You sold me a car under false assumptions I voiced clearly. * You let me believe a core feature was present without correcting me. * Then you admitted your salesperson was "new" and "unclear"--and still acted like it's my fault I was misled? That's not a mistake. That's manipulation. You had every opportunity to tell the truth, and you didn't. I wouldn't recommend Frank Leta Acura to anyone, especially not to women who know what they're looking for. The people were pleasant, but the car--absolutely not. I bought a 2025 MDX in 2024 for $69,000, only to later find out that this year and model have known starting issues. After three service visits and three loaner cars, I ended up settling for what my vehicle was worth plus a little extra--but nowhere near what I originally paid. Since a field technician couldn't come in for several weeks, I was told I would have to take the car back, even though it was unsafe. I had video proof of the starting problem, and they still expected me to drive it, knowing it could shut off--especially concerning since I often have my child in the car. I ultimately refused to take the risk and returned the vehicle with their offer. While the people I dealt with, particularly Evan, were kind and professional (Evan even lifted my spirits on a very stressful day), the overall experience was unacceptable. My encounter with Frank Leta deserves a 1 star review since I was going to get scammed. They're just looking for easy money. I got a text saying my vehicle has or may have an open recall. So I call & schedule an appointment. Thankfully, I called today about my appointment tomorrow to make sure this was at no charge. The lady stated to me that IF there's a recall, there will be no diagnosis fee, IF there is not then I will be charged the diagnosis fee. How am I supposed to know if I should go in or not? Im just going off of the text. Never once was I asked my VIN #. Thankfully I called Mungenast @ Manchester location, she asked for my VIN, explained that they check that FIRST to confirm there's a recall on the vehicle. She confirmed I do NOT. Frank Leta was going to let me come in, diagnose my vehicle before even checking the VIN & charge me for a diagnosis fee. What a joke. I'll stay away in the future. Sad I will not be using Frank Leta any longer. I've put my trust in them by even buying a vehicle here. Shady business. Let me preface by saying I'm sure every company has some employees who don't reflect the value of the organization, or who are having a bad day. So I don't want to invalidate others who may have had a different experience than mine. I'll also add that I rarely post reviews (i think i've done 7 on google, and maybe 2 on Yelp), but my experience at Frank Leta was impactful enough that I want to ensure others know about it. The short version, I've bought cars from several St. Louis dealers, but Frank Leta was by far the best experience. Primarily, they were honest, low-pressure, and truly focused on finding the right fit for me (even though it was less expensive than what I originally had in mind). They cared more about my experience than the upsell. I've been in sales my whole life and truly appreciated this approach. Edwin Sekic was a great sales rep: super transparent and easy to work with. Steve Brown helped close the deal and made it feel effortless. Highly recommend this place. I've even sent a friend here for service, and he loves working with their team too. read more

Took my 2024 RDX in for maintenance and a rear end thumping noise on April 30, 2025 that has been going on since we bought the car in February 2024. They finally decided it was possibly the rear shock. But imagine the luck they did not have the partin stock. Was told it would take 2 weeks and they would call when the part came in. Have not heard a peep. Called today June 11, 2025. They never ordered the part but they will have it delivered tomorrow. I have an appointment for Friday June 13.They said it would take an hour. not holding my breath. if you want an Acura go somewhere else. Just had a very comfortable, low stress experience with Frank Leta Acura...specifically Clayton Price. I had not purchased a new car in many years, so he had the job of explaining all the new features. I knew some of the options that were important to me, and he helped show me which trim levels would get me those options. I needed to drive the cars several times, because I tried other dealers and brands as well and I needed to remind myself what fit my needs and wants the best. I had a highly disappointing experience with Frank Leta Acura. Prior to visiting the dealership, I was quoted a price that significantly differed from what I was ultimately charged upon arrival, as well as undisclosed fees that were only presented at the final stage of the transaction. This lack of transparency was both frustrating and concerning. Additionally, when I arrived to take delivery of the vehicle, it still contained broken glass, indicating that it had not been properly cleaned or inspected. The dealership also required additional time to complete work that should have been finished prior to my scheduled pickup, further delaying the process. Overall, the experience fell far short of the professionalism and integrity I expected. I had an extraordinarily good experience with salesman Rodney Morris-El. I visited there three times. The first was brief but the next two were 4 hours long. I am very appreciative of his efforts to locate a vehicle that met our needs and was affordable. I am also very appreciative of his style. He comes across as a person of great integrity with a positive disposition inviting others to be at ease with you. AND, he really knows his stuff. Amazing grasp of detail about the cars he is selling and other vehicles from other manufacturers with whom he competes. I really wanted to buy a car from him. This approach appears to be the standard at Frank Leto as I got a chance to watch a number of other sales people interact with customers. Friendly, open and welcoming. I scheduled an appointment to see a Dodge Charger, and everything seemed fine at first. About an hour later, I received a call saying I could still come see the car but couldn't drive it since it hadn't been through service yet. They mentioned they had another Charger available that I could test drive. When I arrived, the first Charger I wanted to see was scratched up, so I asked about the second one. Instead, they brought out a white Camaro and told me the second Charger was never even at that location--and that they wouldn't bring it because it was "inconvenient" for them. From your trade in, down payment, loan, and the car you're purchasing! They're a complete waste of time! They will cut you short on your trade in value, even as they advertise that they're running a huge special on trade ins. They had our paperwork showing that I would be giving them my cars (two of them) for free and actually paying THEM for my trade ins. When in fact, to all they had to do was take the trade ins off and we would have been exactly where my daughter needed to be. They insulted us, ticked us off, and let $5,000 cash walk out the door. I called the next day to complain about our almost 5 hour experience the night before and how disappointed we were with the entire situation. They convinced us to come back in to work out a deal, by taking the trade ins off, which they could've easily done the night before, plus knocked $1,000 off. Huge mistake!! I mentioned a ticking sound the car had FOUR times! They continued to tell us that the car was inspected and everything was okay! Before signing the papers, I asked if something was wrong with the motor etc, would they fix it. They told us that "if lubricant touches it, we will fix it". We immediately took the car to our mechanic and was told that it definitely had issues and to call them and tell them that they needed to check the motor out. We took it in, and you guessed it, it needed a new motor! You can't tell me that they didn't know that the motor was bad in this vehicle. They were hoping someone (two females) would buy it and that it would last until the 3 month, 3,000 mile warranty was expired and they could make money off of the repairs. This vehicle was being purchased by my daughter, who is a single mother with two small boys. They couldn't care less, if they were stuck on the side of the highway in a vehicle that was in fact, going to break down at any given time. Needless to say, they DID NOT fix the vehicle! We had to go back to the dealership to get personal items out of the car and get my daughters down payment. They didn't even have the decency to have the car on the lot waiting for us. We had to drive to a separate location to retrieve her items. As if we hadn't been screwed enough by these people, they gave us our check for the $5,000, only to go to THEIR bank to cash it, and was told that the dealership hadn't released it online. After many phone calls and over an hour at the bank, it was finally released. The bank teller told us that this is a continuous problem with Frank Leta! I could absolutely go further into details, but this pretty much sums it up! Learn from our mistakes, do not deal with this dealership. They will preach their family owned and operated BS to you and how they care about their customers, blah, blah, blah! Fight over price, look for issues they aren't telling you about, and deal with the arrogance of the car salesman. I've experienced a lot of thing at a dealership but today was a first for me. I worked with a dealer by the name of "Jeff Irby" (hope I spelled it right) and it was the best experience I have ever had at a car dealership. Jeff was courteous, candid, and above all respectful. Jeff was straight forward and seems to go by a no BS approach. There was no reading between the lines, arguing about price and he was quick to point out any blemishes on the paint so I was fully aware of what I was potentially buying. I have never been more comfortable buying a car and I highly recommend Jeff and the rest of the team here at Frank Leta Acura. The only thing I regret is not coming here sooner. The goofy commercials on the radio are not a good representation of this place. There is a difference between "Frank Leta Automotive" and "Frank Leta Acura/Honda". He basically blamed me saying it was my fault it had a chip. REALLY?What kind of customer services was it that they blame the customer? You push people to buy a vehicle and drop them like a dime and stop caring because the sale was made. When I explained the windshield issue, regardless if it is a chip or a crack, it was still a blemish on my newly purchased vehicle and they should own up to it. He ACTUALLY ADMITTED that Acura "may have possibly over looked that chip in the windshield." End story. The guy is a scumbag and should be fired! I WAS a customer who put down $20K on my vehicle getting ignored and mistreated by everyone at the location. There is no concept of customer service or to make things RIGHT! That's when it hit me i was the only non-white person in that place getting RACIST TREATMENT. I came here for a second opinion after getting a repair estimate from Firestone. Frank Leta charged me $183.99 for a one-hour vehicle inspection. After confirming what I already knew, the repair estimate I received was DOUBLE what I received from Firestone ($4,800 vs $2,500) . The labor cost was over TRIPLE what I received from Firestone. The people are nice, and the coffee is free, but that doesn't change the fact that getting your car repaired here is akin to lighting your money on fire. read more

I just assumed it would be approx the same price but It was like double, up to $83. She said I had a coupon last time but they had none now. We had an au pair move in with us so we needed to add another car so she has a way to get around the city. My wife and I share a Tesla and never really needed a second car but now we did so we found ourselves looking at a preowned Acura RDX. They reached out to us first thing when they opened Saturday morning after my wife had messaged them late Friday, we set an appointment for a few hours later and about three hours after that I was driving home with our new/preowned Acura. Kevin was our sales rep (I'm not sure if that's the right term) but he was phenomenal. A couple of things that really stood out: they have information from a third-party which they show you values of the vehicle you were purchasing and then how that compares to the same car with the same type of options and mileage in the surrounding states. So there is no BS, there were six cars the software said were a slightly better value and I think about 20 cars that were less of a value than the one we bought. I felt like there was almost no pressure whatsoever, I have not bought a car for a while now but I've heard some horror stories and this felt smooth, like I said Kevin was extremely friendly and courteous and enjoyable to spend the time with. I can't really think of what I would want more out of a dealership tbh. The price was solid, the dealership was very nice, everybody who worked there seemed great. Before I went in to talk to Mary regarding financials and extended warranty, the assistant sales manager told me that I needed to listen to every thing she said. I am 60 years old and do not need to be told to listen. Felt very pressured when I did not want all the extended warranty options as they were very expensive. Purchased this vehicle at the end of October 2024 and maybe put 5k miles on it. After the 3rd time i picked it up after an engine repair a sound appeared that sounded like marbles in a tin can on downshift. Came into the shop and turns out the rubber couplers and bearing went bad on the torque tube. I purchased the car with an extended warranty that costed additional $4000 and the warranty company does not cover it although the "driveshaft" is included on there. Something about not being a " internally lubricated part" and when they stripped it down to the point of failure apparently since the torque tube itself is okay and its only the couplers they will not cover it. So Frank Leta sold me a vehicle and also made money on the extended warranty they sold me with a profit and also claimed the warranty for an engine repair costing 7800$. They are making a lot of money on this car but want me to pay 3500$ for an out of pocket repair on a recently purchased vehicle. They claim since the tires are in " bad condition" the part failed bc of my spirited driving apparently. I know for certain that this issue persisted before i even purchased the vehicle and it wasnt because of me. Frank Leta failed to pinpoint the issue at the time of sale and this vehicle used to belong to the previous General Managers father. Maybe they were aware it had a torque tube issue so they traded it in and thought " if the next owner has any issues it should be covered under warranty " but here i am dealing with this. Please be very careful when doing business here and read all the fine print and if you have any other make of a vehicle besides Acura then do not use their shop. My husband and I have purchased 5 cars from this dealership over the past 3 years. Our first purchase experience was a mess, but I gave them some slack because it was during the pandemic. Fast forward to this April. We leased two vehicles and have had nothing but headaches trying to get our plates and paperwork. We finally went up there, only to find out that our paperwork was done incorrectly and we had to do it all over again! Today, we finally received a phone call saying that our plates are ready. When my husband arrived, he asked to speak with the finance person to find out the status of a refund we have been waiting on but haven't been able to get any answers. To his surprise, he found out that we have to do our paperwork. Again! And they're saying that they need to redo our credit reports. How can they be so incompetent? The most frustrating part about all of this is that we would have absolutely no idea if we hadn't asked. They have ZERO customer service and have lost what could have been lifelong customers. **Update. Today the dealership called my husband to ask me if I would be willing to electronically sign my documents instead of calling me to ask. Are you serious? I bought a used Acura TLX with ~12k miles from Acura in October. The deal was pre-negotiated online but after a quick test drive before finalizing the papers, I'd detected the smell of smoke in the vehicle. The sales person assured me that the smell was "99% fixable" and scheduled a follow up smell treatment while while signing the papers. After two months and multiple chemical treatments, the car still smells of smoke. I believe it was not in good faith for Frank Leta to not disclose an apparent defect ahead of time. In hindsight, I should have walked away when I detected the smell but I trusted the Frank Leta representatives that it was fixable. I certainly appreciate the efforts to fix the problem but at this point in time, my experience has been regrettable and the smoke smell is a source of regular frustration. read more

On Friday, February second, 2024 I had to hound down the sales manager. I informed the sales manager that there was a potentially life-threatening problem with the Acura I purchased from them. They knew all the way back from January 27 that there is a potentially life threatening potential of injury. Despite that the sales manager guaranteed me, he would talk. Call me back by the end of business Friday. he never called back. Neither did he call back on Saturday when the dealership was open for eight hours.he never called back. Update. Travis at Frank Leta contacted me and made good on the $500 key FOB. Not much anyone could do about the title issue but he seemed genuinely apologetic about it and the key FOB reimbursement went a long way in mind. Changed my rating to 4 stars and would definitely recommend them. read more

This was once our favorite car dealer service center. We are on our forth Acura in 25 years two of which we bought at Frank Leta and one from Mungenest. We did not like the service at mungenest because of their high pressure sales tactics in the service department. Now at Leta the service has become indifferent. we try to make an appointment for service we receive a phone tree shunting us to their website to make the appointment. took six phones to make an appointment last time we were there did not get service check sheet, car wash or any of past amenities for which Leta was Known. Took over three hours to get an oil change. Truly miss Jeff the service manager of days past when the was a top quality service department read more
