Both procedures were smooth, efficient, and surprisingly comfortable. Dr. Jönsson is warm, calm, incredibly smart, and exceptionally skilled at what he does, and somehow even interesting to talk to while working on a tooth that *feels* approximately two millimeters from your brain. He explains everything clearly, answers questions thoughtfully, and makes you feel completely at ease the entire time. His main assistant is also fantastic. She is kind, attentive, and professional. The Endodontist informed me in order for my son to have a root canal he needed sedation. I did not agree as he is really calm and compliant. He does have epilepsy and cognitive delay but I felt he would do ok as long as he was numbed correctly and he felt comfortable. I honestly got the impression he just did not want to do it. So I spent the next week trying to find another option. I decided to go with Dr. Dianat based on my conversation with his staff and patient reviews. Dr. Dianat was absolutely amazing with my special needs child during a root canal procedure. And then they started to upsell and push a $1,200 cleaning... They were justifying the claim that they look out 5 to 10 years out, also saying they can't do a full cleaning since it will impact the quality of the future specialized cleaning and after they report to insurance I would be locked out and not able to be covered for it in the future if I did not do it today it would be more expensive later over $2k. So of course cleaning was really rushed. I went to my old dentist a month after and they said it looked like my teeth were not cleaned or polished since they last saw me. I sent the X rays/imaging from the visit to a dentist friend and they said it was a very extreme solution for something that can be managed with personal routine changes. They are entitled to their opinion and how they operate as a business nothing against them. This is a heads up if you decide to go in.
