I came to my appointment feeling anxious because of all the negative things people say about root canals. But everything I heard turned out to be untrue! Not only was the whole procedure painless and quick, it hardly cost anything with my insurance. I put on a show to listen to on my headphones and the whole thing was done in less than a half hour because I didn't complete the episode. Having a root canal is no spa day, but it's also not torture. In the hands of a skilled professional, it was really nothing more invasive than a routine dental visit could be. Dr. Andrew Lin has a wonderful bedside manner. He was kind and patiently explained the procedure and answered all of my questions. On my drive home I started to feel a tiny bit of soreness, so as recommended I took a couple ibuprofen when I got home. For good measure I kept taking them every 4 hours that day. I didn't want to ever get to a point where I was in pain waiting for the relief to kick in. And no such moment has come. I'm now 2 days post op and feeling fine. No pain medications needed. I have no soreness and feel completely normal. And my tooth, which was light gray, now looks the same shade as the adjacent one. My dentist recommended I get evaluated for a root canal but the place he recommended didn't take my insurance. I went on Yelp to find someone that would and found this place. Dr. Lin inspected the tooth, stating the tooth was find and did not need a root canal. i said my tooth hurts, Dr. Lin did not know why. I had a filling that fractured after 25 years and unfortunately took out some of the tooth structure and required a root canal. Dr. Lin completed it today, very calm and attentive to making sure his patients are comfortable during the procedure. Extremely efficient, had a 9:00 appointment, and was done by around 10:45. It's been two weeks since my root canal with Dr. Lin. One of my top front teeth had been growing darker due to an injury from my childhood and my dentist referred me to Apex. I was nervous about this procedure but the entire process was easy and painless. Dr. Lin demonstrates confidence through his calm and sincere bedside manner. I didn't even fill any pinch when he applied the local anesthetic. After my procedure, he recommended I take two ibuprofen a day for the next few days, but I didn't even need it because I felt no pain. I do want to note one thing. When the tech was setting up the dental tools, I saw him drop a rubber piece from the suction tool onto the ground. He picked it up and placed it back onto the tool, without any disinfecting or even wiping. A dental office should already be held to the highest standards when it comes to hygiene, so to witness this during a pandemic was even more concerning. This one issue aside, I would still recommend Apex Endodontics for a root canal. I'm pleased I won't have to feel self conscious about my dark tooth. read more

Great front office that checked him in right away. When he got to the back, this sweet gentleman assistant Rahmez helped him so much. My son was nervous and he helped him calm down and relax. Came here for a root canal and the staff was so sweet and accommodating. Front desk was very knowledgeable and patient. I have a billing issue with an incredibly unprofessional endodontics office. On April 26, 2021 I went there for a root canal. After paying my part of the root canal out of pocket of $420 the dentist proceeded (they insist on payment before the dentist will begin). Dr Lin immediately said there was a fracture in the tooth and could not proceed. I was directed to go to a dentist that could do the extraction. I was told that they could not give me the $420 back because they already submitted it to insurance. This was only 10 minutes after I made payment!!! How could that have been true but they had my money. They told be the cost to me for the dentists evaluation was only $85 after insurance and I would get a check back in 2 weeks. I have made FIVE calls to their office in the last 4 months and 2 calls to my insurance company that said the APEX office still has not provided them the information they need. The office has been totally non-responsive to me and the office manager said she would followup as to why I did not get my refund from their accounting department, but they have not..over and over again. On my 5th call last week they promised to call me back the next day to give me a status but have not called for another week. I can not spend so much of my time on this issue. Why do I  have this challenge of 4 months just to get back $420 that I gave them only 10 minutes earlier for work that was not even performed,  is incredible. I should have cancelled the credit card payment but I trusted them and now realize I should not have. This is so wrong and unprofessional on many levels. read more

I was referred here for a root canal by my dentist. I have never been comfortable going to the dentist even though my dentist is amazing. When hearing I had a cracked tooth and needed a root canal I was dreading this procedure. I didn't want to be in anymore discomfort than I was, so I called and made the appointment. Yesterday, upon arrival the front staff was friendly and encouraging as well as informing. I was then taken to the back and met with the assistant and Dr. Andrew Lin. He explained everything in detail, could tell how nervous I was, and spoke calmly making me feel comfortable. He spoke with me throughout the procedure, continually checking to make sure I was comfortable and pain free. When finished he continued to make sure I was feeling well and explained the follow up care with my dentist. I am so glad I went here for my root canal and if I ever have to get another I will definitely go back to Dr. Lin. I had a great experience at this location with Dr. Lin and his group of front and back office staff. They were very organized with the appointment planning and were able to get me in early! I had a bad experience 5 years ago when a doctor at a different office performed a root canal on me, however, Dr. Lin made it feel completely painless and finished my treatment quick. The dental assistants were very polite and nice. They explained everything clearly and showed that they actually are willing to do whatever it takes to satisfy a patient and make sure I knew everything that I needed to know before I left the office.. I cannot recommend Dr. Sean Lin more. I had a root canal done on my front tooth and I can't imagine it being more comfortable than it was. I felt ABSOLUTELY NOTHING throughout the whole procedure, not even the anaesthetic shot. You should know that I'm also the type that is severely scared of visiting the dentist and when I was told I need my first ever root canal I was dreading it for more than a week. I did a thorough research which took me around 5 hours and found Dr. Sean Lin. He is truly amazing. I'll be 100% honest and tell you that after the procedure you'll feel a little bit of pain (4/10 pain) which gets reduced by the ibuprofen to 1/10 pain. I cannot say enough about Dr. Lin and his office staff. First let me start off by saying I am not one to go to the dentist every 6 months for my check ups. I have huge fear of the dentist. So much so it took me 10 yrs to get to one. After seeming my general dentist she let me know I'd have to have two root canals but she was going to send me to a specialist. Going into my appointment today. I was so nervous I felt my anxiety start to kick in. I even had a nightmare that Dr.Lin messed up my tooth lol. Now that the procedure is over I'm so happy I was referred to him. He is an amazing Endo Doctor. The appt starts off with Dr. Lin numbing you. Once you're perfectly numb Dr. Lin places something in your mouth I forget what it's called but it helps so you don't have to hold your mouth open for whatever time it takes him to do the root canal. Than he places a "dental dam" on you and it'll only expose the tooth that needs a root canal. I actually liked having the "dental dam" there. I felt like I could breath and swallow my saliva better. Than Dr. Lin begins the root canal. You hear all the drilling and the cleaning. I even smelled bleach when he was cleaning out my tooth. He gets an X-Ray before he begins to fill your tooth up just to make sure it's shaped properly. He finishes shaping the tooth and voila the root canal is complete. Rest assured you're in GREAT hands when you come to Dr. Lin's office. read more

This MAN is the BEST ENDODONTIST EVER!!! I was referred to Apex by a new general dentist. I was in such FEAR and ANXIETY about going to the dentist. I was in such pulsating pain from this tooth. Now I needed a root canal thru my crown, I just recently had done. I thought I was going to loose the crown, be in pain, cost me an arm and a leg for treatment, and another new crown... FEAR was setting in. Dr. Lin is the BEST ever! He was very nice, confident, and gentle. He explained everything, step by step. The girls at the front, kind, explained my insurance, and I made a co-pay upfront. My treatment from Dr. Lin was the BEST I have EVER EXPERIENCED. It was truly unlike any dentist Ive had ever gone to. I had NO PAIN, NO DISCOMFORT, no gagging from water during treatment, and no red mouth afterwards. I had a referral to one endodontist prior to coming to this office, and did not feel comfortable there. The endodontist there did not answer all my questions and hastily told me I needed to get a root canal without proper explanation. I've never had a root canal before so this definitely made me nervous. I knew I needed to find another endodontist after this initial consultation. After doing some research for an endodontist nearby, I stumbled upon this office and immediately requested a referral for a consultation. I am extremely happy with my choice in coming here!! Dr. Lin was very attentive in providing you with details on what is going on with your tooth and the work he is doing. He answers every questions thoroughly and makes you feel comfortable in asking the questions. After all the work is done, he carefully inspects his work and follow up to make sure that everything went well. His team is also very friendly and professional. Office is well kept and appears very clean. And...there is never a long wait! I had a great experience here...and I never ever say that about any dentists or specialists who inspect my teeth. My dentist referred me to Apex for a root canal and I went to Dr. Sean Lin for treatment. I was a really big wuss about it and Dr. Lin was SO understanding and comforting. All reasonable effort should be made to help a patient make the most informed decision, by providing necessary information about a service at its most appropriate time (for example, before a service is rendered, not after). This will particularly help a patient to avoid incurring any unforeseen expenses. I did not receive this effort from this Apex. It resulted with incurring an expense that I did not expect. I didn't even receive a credit of some sort as a gesture that there was an acknowledgment of responsibility in this matter. Instead of righting the wrong, the blame was shifted to me, saying "I should have asked more questions." Two of its employees were very dismissive, not friendly, nor helpful. They just didn't seem to care much. This nightmare lasted for months while communicating with them, trying to bring balance into this situation. The doctor was nice. He expressed sympathy for the situation I was put in but still, in the end, offered no real help. So while I cannot recommend them, I do hope that their company improves their communication methods, and helping to keep their patients informed about need-to-know policies with the services they provide. read more

Dr. Andrew Lin is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I got a molar root canal done and he was kind and gentle throughout the whole process. I was in a lot of pain and he empathized with me, calmed me down, and got on with the procedure. I was made very comfortable and he kept checking on me. I didn't feel any pain and I walked out of the clinic feeling fit. I am very scared of doctors and dentists, syringes, and any sort of medical treatments, -- but the whole team of Apex Endodontics was OUTSTANDING. Dr. Andrew Lin was very sincere with the root canal process and focused only on the tooth that needed the treatment. In the past, I have gone to dentists who started poking into my other teeth while treating a different tooth. I found that very irritating and unprofessional. Some dentists even started talking about cosmetic procedures and how to "fix my smile" while working on a cavity filling. Dr. Andrew Lin, on the other hand, was entirely focused on doing the root canal and I found him to be very focused, professional, and sincere. Overall, he is the best doctor (including dentists and other types of doctors) I have ever visited. Finally, the two women at the front desk were also wonderful. For some reason, the care-credit website was down and they were not able to process my payment. However, they kept trying and Dr. Andrew Lin started the process even before the payment was processed. The two women at the front desk called the care-credit front desk and did everything necessary to make sure that I was able to get the root canal done on that day.
