I showed up and spoke to the same person I spoke to on the phone, turns out that was the owner. He gave me an estimate and time frame that I was happy with. He also assured me that he'd be able to "work magic " , I thought it was a little funny he phrased it like that. After the repair was completed in a very timely manner I can verify the "magic" was done. He took the time afterwards to talk to me about proper paint maintenance for my Mazda, something the dealer didn't do. This is the body shop I will call first whenever I need anything done.

They also were very transparent in its progress with an open line of text communication for updates and estimates on its completion. In addition to fixing my car, it was completely cleaned inside and out, hasn't been this clean since I bought it! They walked me through everything, and assured that if there were any issues with parts of the car that were repaired, they'd fix it for no cost. Also, they say if you leave a review on Google, you can receive a complimentary car wash in the future, but I decided to leave one on Yelp too! Obviously nobody ever wants to have their car in the shop, but it's nice knowing the Tri-Cities has a place where you'll receive great customer service if you do need a repair.

Highly recommended!!…read more I previously was quoted for a little over $1300 at a different auto repair shop for things that were "needing immediate attention" and was actually refused an alignment because I couldn't afford the $500 needed to buy these kits that were "mandatory" to be able to do the alignment. I was referred to Mel's through discount Tire. Gave them a call and explained the situation as well as what the previous shop said. I was able to get in within 2 weeks, and it only took that long because of the kits I said were needed would take a while to do, as well as working around my schedule. Dropped it off at 12:40 even though my appointment wasn't until 1:15 and got a call by 2:30 saying it was done. A total of $75 instead of the insane amount the other auto repair shop was trying to charge me. I will for sure be continuing my business here and recommending to anyone else!

I took my car in for a very minor fender bender, honestly, I probably could have gone without taking it in to get fixed at all, which at this point, I wish I wouldn't have!! They have had my car for over 2 weeks now, they never call me to give an update, I always have to call and the estimated date of completion just keeps on getting pushed out farther and farther. Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE!! I will most certainly NEVER be taking any of my cars here again!
