He was my physician growing up, and a supportive man through challenging times. I will always be grateful to him, and also to Mrs Barbara, who always made sure my timing was impeccable. This is without a doubt, the best pediatrician group in the area. My children have gone here for good reason. Trust, solid guidance, and experience. You want the best for your children, and this practice is where that's the policy. The office staff is very friendly, and I'd like to thank the advice nurse for their helpful guidance, along with all associated with this group. I don't have any problems getting my son an appointment. They also have wanted to always put my child's best first, despite some outside parties being less than exemplary or mature in an adult sense. Yet sometimes one must deal with life as is, smile, laugh, and just do the best regardless to be a caring person and relatively responsible citizen. The doctors and nurses here care. My appreciation for their honesty, and also being approachable. Working with children professionally, some pediatrician offices are impersonal or not very connected. This one is and they can refer you to other exemplary folks as needed. I'm proud to give these folks five stars, which is rare, but they deserve credit for their excellent medical care for children in this area.

I work everyday and the office is closed on the weekends so it was very hard for me to call off and come in for an appointment. She ended up hanging up in my face and I was very disgusted by this because I'm the one paying to be treated and I get treated awfully. Very disappointed by this situation and do not plan on coming back to this office. They need to take care of their patients way better!!

My husband is in IT and the first he noticed when he entered the office, was that there was no automation in the doctors office. No computers, everything was done with pen and paper. This was his first visit and they did not have him fill out a questionnaire about his medical history nor his family history and the doctor did not ask about it either. Second my husband had made a list of issues he wanted to discuss with the doctor and the doctor barely looked at the list. Dr. Barbano was very condescending and did not even look at one of my husbands main issues, pain in his foot due to gout, even though it was the first issue on the list. I understand that when people come to the office with a list of issues, one might not be able to go over them all but that is when the doctor should tell the patient to schedule another appointment to go over the other issues. It did not seem like Dr. Barbano had any interests in seeing my husband again. My husband felt very much like just another number and that the doctor did not really care. It was like the doctor wanted to find the negative in everything. Needless to say, he is not going back there.

I had a really disappointing experience with this office today. I scheduled an appointment through…read morethe Privia app because I am already a patient within the Privia network. The app only allowed me to choose a follow up appointment, this was in response to test results from my primary care provider. If the system wasn't supposed to let me do that, that's an issue on their end, not mine. I drove over 50 minutes to this appointment, only to get a call in the parking lot telling me they didn't know how I was able to schedule and that I shouldn't have made the appointment the way I did. Instead of listening or troubleshooting, the front desk staff kept arguing with me and insisting I booked it wrong even after I explained that their own app allowed it. It was frustrating and honestly felt very dismissive. This was especially disappointing because I was referred here by my primary care provider, so I came in expecting a smooth and professional experience. On top of that, I had been waiting for some time. someone from the office was supposed to call me to schedule in the first place, and no one ever did. When I called myself, I was told I would get a callback...which never happened. At that point, I decided it was better to leave and find another office. The front desk is often a reflection of the professionalism and care within the rest of the practice, and based on this, I didn't feel confident moving forward. A healthcare office should be understanding, solutions oriented and respectful of patients' time, especially when the patient has driven nearly an hour to get there. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I will be finding another provider in the area with better communication and a more patient centered front desk.

I wanted to share my experience with this practice because I think it could help others know what…read moreto expect. This whole practice is bizarre. I was searching for a primary care physician near our new home and saw some good reviews on Google, so I decided to give it a shot. The initial call went smoothly, but I was a bit confused when I was told there was no way to send my previous medical records before my visit. It made me wonder how the doctor would know anything about my medical history prior to meeting. When I asked if I could email my records directly, I was told they didn't have an email system for that. I tried to fill out the basic intake questionnaires through the link they sent me, but the site crashed a few times, so I barely got any information submitted. I showed up before my 10 AM appointment, but even though I had already uploaded my insurance card, they asked me for it again. The front office staff was nice, but they looked super busy, and the lobby was packed. Seating was limited, and people were often trying to create space between themselves and others by "saving" the chair next to them, which made the VERY small lobby back up quickly. I ended up waiting for over an hour and noticed that people who arrived after me were being seen first. Eventually, a rather unusual person took my vitals, put me in a room, and said the nurse would be right with me. Then, he came back and told me to face the iPad for a "virtual" visit with the nurse. A friendly woman popped up on the screen and started asking me questions. Although I didn't like the iPad intake, the person who took my intake was very kind. After another wait, the physician came in and mentioned that she typically treats older patients but can work with younger people, too. Thanks, I guess? Even though the whole situation felt a bit off, I could tell she was doing her best given how busy things were. I didn't mind waiting because I know healthcare can be unpredictable and everyone has questions. However, I could tell I wasn't important, and my "annual exam" felt like a waste of time for both me and the staff. The doctor asked me the EXACT SAME questions the iPad nurse had already covered, and I was a bit disappointed that no one asked about my medical condition that requires blood work until I brought it up at the end. She said they might not be able to do the additional blood work during this visit but could fit it into my "follow-up" when I came back for my results next week. I found that a bit frustrating but didn't want to hold her up, as she seemed rushed and a bit scattered. Typically, a doctor or nurse will call with results, but this place tried to force me into a recheck to receive my results, which seemed scammy. Since I was there for an annual exam, I really hoped to discuss some specific tests based on her recommendations, but that didn't happen. Instead, she asked if I ride a bicycle, and when I said I didn't, she felt the need to tell me that if I ever do, I should wear a helmet. Thanks again, I guess...?The doctor left the exam room in a hurry, and I was still standing there, feeling confused by the oddest medical experience I've ever had. The whole place was just strange, informal, and cold. Clearly, this wasn't the right place for me to establish routine care.

Instead of being able to focus on what is happening in my personal life, I found myself stressed about avoiding a financial penalty. The policy made me feel pressured to come into my appointment despite my circumstances, which felt more like bullying than patient care. I understand that medical practices need cancellation policies, but there should also be room for compassion and reasonable discretion when patients are dealing with genuine emergencies. Healthcare should prioritize patients, not make them feel trapped between handling an emergency and avoiding a hefty fee. I hope this office reconsiders how it handles situations like these and treats patients with more understanding and empathy.
