Every time I walk in this store I feel the need to volunteer myself to be padded down... and not because I'm some pervy perv... just because the girls who work here look at you (if you're lucky enough to even be acknowledged by them) like you're on a mission to ransack the store. I swear, I'm not stealing... I'd be no good at here anyway. There's just too much stuff that I want and too few arms to thieve it with. Super rude, lots of 'tude and quite frankly I can go hang out with my family if I want that kind of treatment. I'm just trying to buy some super cute and only moderately overpriced clothing in bulk but they make it so hard to want to come back. What's with all the 'B' face? The clothing here usually ranges between $29-$49 and you'll always end up spending WAY more than you thought you were going... I always hear the number and quickly wonder if the tax rate is 3000% percent. The quality isn't crap, but more than a few times I've seen the same something sold here at Forever 21, just in a different colorway and cheaper. The jewelry, to me, looks uber cheap and costs WAY too much. I'd rather get something from F21 than shell out that kind of dough in their rather blah bling selection. I stopped in looking for jewelry to wear with a dress. The clothing in the store is for someone much younger than me, but the accessories work for any age. Since I did not have the dress with me, I think I made a good match, but the young lady at the register told me to just return it if it does not work and bring the dress with to try again. My accessory game keeps evolving. When I was a teen, I was all about the clearance at Claire's, then I discovered Charming Charlie and bought necklaces in every color of the rainbow. Now I'm 100% a Francesca's girl. I feel like they have a great selection and I always have good experiences with the customer service. They also have sales that change often. When I was in the store earlier this week, hair accessories were buy 1 get 1 50% off. A few weeks ago, it was a similar deal on t-shirts. There's also a small clearance table in the back that currently consisted of Easter presents and other random items. Francesca's is a great spot to stop for a gift for the woman in your life, especially if she likes things that sparkle. read more

This is a cute little shop. Kind of a mix between what you might find at Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters, but more reasonably priced. Average is maybe $44 for a dress and under $30 for a top. I like that the clothing is arranged by color (this is a big deal to me from my past retail days when I would spend hours an hours making sure our racks were done in color order - no I am not kidding). Sizes vary a lot between items. I find I take all the sizes in and never are two items the same size. Very cute jewelry and accessories. Lots of both trendy and classic pieces. The folks working in this location are kind of a mixed bag - sometimes very friendly and sometimes completely oblivious - but as long as I don't have to wait at the register for an exorbitant amount of time, I am ok with that. The shop is tiny and if there are more than a few people in there, I find it to be cramped and a bit overwhelming. Nearly claustrophobic, in fact. The last time I was in, there were two women at the back corner trying stuff on and leaving shoes an their stuff all over and it seriously closed off the entire back half of the store, which is kind of annoying. Plus, it was impossible to get around them to browse the racks. Also, there are only two dressing rooms and they have curtains that do not close all the way, even with the addition of velcro on the wall and the curtain. Not a fan of those gaps but if you're less worried about strangers seeing your booty, then it may not be an issue for you. The only other thing that bugs me, and this just might be a me thing, is that some of the clothing items have an odd odor to them. The last time I was in, I picked up a cute little knit dress and I was on course to buy it but then when I tried it on, I smelled it (and yes, I do that to all clothing items) and it had an odor like rotten salad dressing. Specific and weird, perhaps, but I was worried the odor wouldn't come out after washing. Overall, a decent place to get some cute stuff. If you wash said items before you wear them and there's no one blocking the aisles. read more

We arrived at 5:58 on a Saturday evening evening. Was told immediately as we walked in the door they would be closing at 6. Asked if we could still shop? We were told that everything had to checked out at 6:15. I worked in retail for years. Never would I have kicked a customer out of a store. Francesca's, you left a ton of money on the table! This place always has interesting little finds. You have to have the time to look through the racks and racks of items. There is such a variety and so much stuff in the little shop but I have always been successful in finding something I was looking for. Whenever I'm in the area I like to stop in and see what new items this place has to offer me. It a small little boutique type place.The prices are super cheap,you sort of expect higher prices just because of its small boutique like apperance. Not the case though. They have a good assortment of clothing that from afar I feel like I'm going to buy everything but then once I get closer not so much.Kind of a tease. The jewelry section is outrageous.There is so much crap you cant even look. This is the area that pisses me off most because the jewels are sort of expensive and multiple times I have seen necklaces that I either saw or bought at forever for half the price. Other then that there are cutesy gift type stuff.I scored my friend a bank that said something hilarious like saving up for plastic surgery! Well that was sad. Recently lost a hefty amount of weight and wanted to get a dress to celebrate and go out on a date with the boyfriend. Nothing in here is really my style. Always been all black and converse shoes type of lady but saw online how cute their clothes were. I'm a large and got a few stretchy materials and tried them on. Cute but nothing I liked so I left them in the dressing room and asked the lady if it was ok if I left them in there. She was nice and said I could leave them and went and grabbed them. She then turns and asks a question that I had her repeat because I was so appalled that someone asks that: "Nothing fit for you?" I don't know how a question like that could follow with something nice or even if that's a question to be asked. I'm heartbroken and tear'd up in my car because this chick probably thought I didn't belong there as soon as I walked in. But good thing I straightened up my attitude realizing that someone like that working there is a place I know to stay away from and happy to know and confirmed how better I am in this world than her. read more

Francesca's Collection is by far one of my fave places to shop for cute and cheapie tops, skirts and dresses. They always have cute and trendy styles and prints. It's fairly hit or miss, but always worth looking. My experience this past venture out, was sub par. Normally, the girls working at Francesca's are very upbeat and friendly. Not so much this time. I felt like I was putting one girl out when asking for a dressing room, or another size. ((Umm, please don't offer to help me if you're going to throw some 'tude every time I ask for it.)) I'd prefer not to wander out to get a new size in my bra and panties, thanks. And getting fully redressed every time I needed a different size is equally annoying. I know that putting back the 20 items I was trying on probably wasn't fun, but that's what they get paid for. So whining about it and eye rolling isn't going to make for happy customers. Clearly, their job is not commissions based. Francesca's itself has a huge variety of knick-knacks, dresses, tops, skirts, jewelry, and accessories to choose from. It requires a little diggin' around, but there's always some stellar finds. There's a great variety on the sales rack, and often some cute and even cheaper items. Some downfalls is that it does require a bit of digging through the racks. Since they don't just carry one brand, I typically end up trying on 2 different sizes - nothing runs true to size. Some items I've purchased are a small, while in others, the large barely fit. So be prepared for a little frustration. Overall, Francesca's is a great place for inexpensive ((and cute)) clothes and accessories, well providing you don't get any 'tude when asking for help, that they offered... read more

This place reminds me a lot of Anthropologie store, except the prices are much more reasonable. I usually look for clearance, but even their regular price clothes is very decent. I go there almost every week, which is not a good thing as I tend to spend a lot, well what are you going to do if you love clothes. This is one of my favorite places to shop. I love boutique shopping because the clothes are unique and you don't have to worry about showing up somewhere matching 5 other girls wearing the latest look from Nordstroms. There are always cute dresses and flowing sheer tops during the summer months and in the winter tons of cute wrap sweaters. I am not a big jewelry person, but if you are, there is always a huge selection of cute fashion jewelry. I prefer the Wheaton location because it is a little bigger than the one in Oakbrook Center. I absolutely LOVE this store but not just because of their cute clothes which I never thought would ever in a million years even look good on me BUT the staff is AMAZING. Every single worker there is so upbeat and friendly. Always a greeting everytime I come in. I always see them interacting with others and asking if they need anything. They are all so persistent. I walk in everytime and get such a great and friendly vibe. A year ago, I wouldnt have said it because of the staff in the past. Best Francescas I have ever had the pleasure of walking into and giving my business too. Especially now during these unfortunate times. I feel they are doing everything they can to ensure safety upon them and the guests. I will always be a repeat customer. I beg you to go there. You wont be let down. I LOVE this place, one of my favorite places to shop. I like the boutique atmosphere, and that it's a small shop so it's not overwhelming. USUALLY I only shop the cleareance section for the clothing and jewelry bc they ALWAYS have a section for this, and I can still find really nice things in the cleareance section. If items are not in cleareance, a typical dress can be $30 - $48. Earrings range from $10 - $30, and same with necklaces and bracletts. The ONLY thing I don't like is that they always have 1 section of cleareance for damaged clothes that look repairable but is still alot of $ for being damaged... read more
