Frame Restoration left our attic in a complete mess. I should have known it was going to be an unprofessional experience when I emailed Travis with a question and I got no response. They left a total mess in our attic and the work to the bedroom ceiling was very sloppy and noticeable. They pulled up the new flooring, in our attic and laid insulation sheets "short-ways & across" the attic floor support beams then just laid the flooring boards on top of the insulation longways (nails still in the boards and sticking up in some areas and they nailed nothing back down). They left all of the old gray insulation laying in 2-3 huge piles in the attic (didn't bother to bag it up and carry it off). Would not come back out and put the flooring like it was before they pulled it all up & destroyed it. They did this to our condo in Dallas last year, 2025. What a mess they left in our attic plus sloppy work on the bedroom ceiling redo. We had to caulk in the large gaps they left between the wall and new sheetrock and repaint the ceiling (they left a 2-3" gap of the old paint all around where the ceiling and wall meet where they didn't bother to paint all the way to the wall). And, where they joined the new replacement sheetrock in the bedroom with the old was very visible, rough patching and sloppy work. To be honest I'm shocked by the good reviews. No, I would not recommend this company to anyone or ever consider hiring them again. But, if you do I would keep a close eye on them and their work and check it before they leave or before you pay because they did not come back out and fix the mess they left, they didn't make it right. Seriously, there is no excuse for the mess they left in our attic or the shotty work in the bedroom. I would pay CLOSE attention to all the negative reviews.
UPDATE: The owner is denying it, but I still have the quote, Sept. 2025, on company letterhead (and the paid invoice and the mess in the attic). Trust me, its real (I really wish it weren't). I don't know who Travis is, his name and email is on the quote. I didn't even give a date so how can he say Travis didn't work there then? We hired Frame Restoration to do some work on the roof and inside the condo directly below it. Above the ceiling, where the sheetrock was replaced, in the bedroom the attic was used and the flooring removed so frame restoration could access and remove the insulation before replacing the sheetrock on the ceiling below it. I'm glad you replied, it just confirms you don't take accountability (5 minutes barely passed before you replied that it was fake...looks like you did some thorough research). I agree, you don't do flooring and that's likely why it was not put back down after being pulled up. Maybe you really aren't aware, but I can assure you "It happened" and I do have proof. The flooring is still pulled up and the piles of insulation still sitting up there (since I can't walk on it now... I can't get to it to fix it). We've already repainted and caulked the ceiling but probably still have the pictures of that too. If your claiming you don't have a Travis that has ever or is working for you now then perhaps I've got the wrong Frame Restoration (The Colony, Texas; I have the EIN that I will not post), that's a different story but instead your claiming that what I'm saying is not true. Since I can't check the roof, I have to assume Frame Restoration did a good job there (like everyone else who can't see their roof will) but workmanship in other areas and accountability might be a red flag. read more
