I typically have weekly facials - less in winter. I had not had one in a couple months and read reviews on folks and chose Chloe. She is a miracle worker, doesn't push product and is so enthusiastic, positive, savvy and knowledgeable that I'm sure she would be your favorite too!! Ulta typically runs promos, so check their site for a discount. I received a sizeable discount for booking my first treatment. In the past, I'll admit I've been a little snooty about Ulta and their salon. I was WRONG!! These are folks who legit care about your outcome. I had my second facial this week which was even better than first. Again administered by Chloe. She studied with Aveda which a rigorous program and she obviously learned a ton and demonstrates her skill in every capacity. I decided to purchase some of the products used under my own suggestion. No high pressure sales. The Dermalogica line - while possibly higher priced than some skin care lines - is comprised of super premium delicious ingredients. I will slowly transition to them completely. My results we shockingly good and I'm no spring chicken either. If I win the lottery - I'll hire Chloe full time. Dr. Pilkington helped me develop a comprehensive treatment plan to clear up my skin fast. Prior to meeting with her, I was on Proactiv; it took some convincing, but she eventually converted me to prescription products, which, much to my chagrin, worked much better. Then, I was switched from VitaClear (Proactiv's vitamin/mineral supplement) to Skin Accumax, another game changer. Next, I was subjected to cautery on my sebaceous glands, which was initially very painful on my skin (to me it felt like I was getting stung by wasps), but a magical buzz device made it relatively painless. Finally, I did microneedling with Tegan Ryan to attenuate my acne scars. Throughout this entire process, I e-mailed Dr. Pilkington several questions -- she always responded the very same day. Tegan Ryan is the only aesthetician I've ever had, but she is without question the best. Microneedling was a little scary to me at first (just the sound of it made me cringe). Tegan put me at ease with her calm demeanor as well as lovely conversation -- I didn't feel any pain whatsoever even though she made me look like she'd just beaten me in an MMA fight. After three sessions of microneedling, several scars have not only diminished but practically disappeared! Upon completing the above comprehensive skin treatment plan over the course of just a few months, my skin looks much more youthful, I dare say like Dr. Pilkington's and Tegan's. In any event, I'm in my mid-thirties and am now happily getting carded again on a regular basis. :) Dr. Pilkington, Tegan, and the entire team -- Nicole, Matt, Courtney, Lindsay, etc. -- are truly exceptional. After answering that question (with my concern about potential skin cancer) was I told that the doctors are not accepting new patients. I told the receptionist that it was strange to be asked what I'm interested in first, if the doctor is not accepting new patients. I asked if the answer would be different if I was interested in cosmetic services and she told me "yes". There would be a significant wait, but I could schedule for a cosmetic consult, and I could not have medical concerns addressed at such a visit. This told me everything I need to know about this practice. Skin cancer, which is potentially lethal, is not something they have time for - cosmetics pay much more.
