I looked far better before receiving treatment. I was told me an excuses about the dents which were honestly insulting to my intelligence. Such as they were there before, this happens when you get older, it's a change to the color of your skin and so on. After this I did not want to receive treatments to fix the dents and unevenness as I could not trust somebody who is very clearly being dishonest directly to my face. The point is I did not have those issues before receiving treatment, therefore the treatment caused those issues. When I said I was leaving she actually stood in my way and refused to move even when asked, preventing me from leaving the office. I have had two appointments with them. The first time, they screwed up my medical insurance, billing my wife instead of me, and it took them so long to fix the problem, with them consistently insisting that we made a mistake, that we eventually had to pay cash because we missed all deadlines. This time, I made the appointment months in advance, confirmed at three weeks in advance, and they had no record of the appointment when I arrived. In fact, they insisted that I had never been there, and that they had no record of me. When I gave them the specific day and date of my last appointment, they were able to figure out that they had my wife's name instead of mine. (hence why they billed her insurance instead of mine last time). In the end, I drove an hour for an appointment I had confirmed three weeks in advance, and was refused service. No medical care is worth this amount of headache and administrative ineptitude, when there are other very good dermatologists in the DMV.

My daughter has seen her periodically for acne treatment, and her skin is considerably clearer than it was when she first started visiting Dr. Hall. Last but certainly not least, she has done several body checks on me to ensure that anything suspicious was not found. Last spring, I noticed that a small bump on my nose had seemed to start growing and looking unusual. Dr. Hall biopsied it, and called me in less than a week to inform me it was basal cell cancer and to recommend a colleague experienced in the Mohs technique of removing basal cell. Her colleague did an excellent job and my nose looks almost exactly the same as it did prior to the procedure. My family will continue to rely on Dr. Hall for dermatological treatment.

From the other reviews, it seems like if you're planning an abortion, are press for time, or may have a high risk pregnancy ... you'll not have a good experience here. But for me, it was pretty decent. My pregnancy was for spontaneous natural di/di twins so essentially I was sort of high risk. I ended up having more ultrasounds than the singleton pregnancy schedule. A couple of my ultrasound appointments weren't properly communicated so I ended up having to either wait a little longer or come in another day for the ultrasound. A little annoying but I stayed positive for the babies. In the end, everything worked out well but it was pretty consistent for appointments to start late. During my months coming in here, I saw the five doctors that share their patients. These are doctors Davis-Wilensky, Greene (before she switched out of the five), Messinger, Bren, Lightfoote, and Abraham. The one who ended up delivering our twins was Dr. Abraham and she was phenomenal. Because of my complication, I had to stay in Sibley a few days through the thanksgiving holiday and the doc on call was Dr. Beckerman and he was also great. I can see why others would not like the Foxhall practice and some of their doctors based on the reviews I've read but I've been fortunate and blessed to have a much better experience for my pregnancy. It is there office policy to change a $50 Annual Fee just to be a part of the practice. I asked what the fee was for. I was explained it was NOT covered by insurance (Yeah, I figured that out when you called and said "Administrative Fee", Thanks.) "It is just our office policy to charge this fee". I inquired about what it was for, exactly. (I was wondering if it covered things like the lab work and any extra test they may deem necessary in the treatment of a problem or maybe even a 24/7 type service for any possible emergency questions, things like that I would have been ok with, if they were phenomenal, but nope... ,"It's for any paperwork, forms to fill out and referrals" Huh? "Well, I don't need any of those services"... "It's our office policy" OK. Great. Maybe you should include that in you listing on the insurance sites, your patient portal sites and on the Front Page of your website. That is a ridiculous policy. I work in the medical field. I know how to bill insurance and what is covered. I even understand the frustration of that from your side, but, that is not a good enough reason to drive potential customers away. It's just bad customer service. You should be showing these fees on front page of website and on any insurance sites or just say you are not accepting new patients so you don't waste anyone's time. Why would anyone pay this ridiculous fee and their copay just for a typical annual exam?
