    Large Cheese Pizza
    Drunken R.

Finally Statesville has NY style quality Pizza. Light and crunchy with tasty sauce and the right amount of cheese.

Good quality pizza. Tastes fresh and not greasy. Good local option in downtown statesville

Pizza droops which makes it very difficult to hold. Flavors are not very interesting either. The restaurant is in a really nice area though.

The pizza was excellent! Two single slices were nearly the size of a medium pizza. Excellent service.

This is a lovely little gem of a restaurant on the far side of the Publix shopping center (strip…read moremall) on the northern side of Statesville on Turnersburg Highway. Plenty of parking available, with a few handicapped spaces nearby. Every time we've been here, we've been greeted warmly, and seated promptly. The place is very clean with two levels; ground on the left, and additional seating up a couple of steps to the right. It's just an illusion but the staggered seating makes the restaurant appear larger. There are both booths and tables. They can take larger parties, with reservations. Complimentary bread with dipping sauce (olive oil and balsamic vinegar) appears as soon as you are seated. Tasty sauce, but the fresh bread is amazing. They have the standard soda/tea offerings, with a small beer (bottle & draft) and wine list. It's just enough to give you choices without being overwhelming. We've had their Stromboli and Calzone. Always freshly made, with tender dough, and generous filling. Both are available in small and large sizes, but a small is the perfect size for one person. We had take out once (pick up, not delivery), Pasta alla Vodka and Spaghetti and Meatballs. Both were fresh and packed well, still very hot when we arrived home. Last night, I brought my husband here for his birthday. We noticed on the menu that Mondays-Wednesdays*, they have a "Two Meals for $30" menu deal that gives you two dinner entrees plus one appetizer to choose from. (Eat in or take out.) We chose the fried ravioli as appetizer, with Carbonara, and Panna e Prosciutto as our entrees. The fried ravioli was heavenly. Delicate, but crispy, with delicious, creamy cheese and a very flavorful marinara sauce to dip in. We could have eaten many, many more plates of these. I had the Carbonara. Good choice, tender pasta, flavorful sauce. Definitely comfort food. My husband had the Panna e Prosciutto. It was beef tortellini with strips of prosciutto in a creamy, Alfredo type sauce. It was different, but delicious. I highly recommend both. (The Panna e Prosciutto is also available with cheese tortellini instead of beef.) We ended up bringing half of each entree home because the servings are large, and the dishes themselves are very hearty and rich. The service was great. The waitstaff was professional and polite. They made sure we had water with our drinks and plenty of napkins when requested. I highly recommend this charming little Italian restaurant. No need to go to national chains when there are places like Vesuvio's available. *On Mondays-Wednesdays, they also have a To-Go deal of one large pizza with one topping plus garlic knots & marinara sauce for $12.99.

I have tried most everything they offer and I have never been disappointed! I definitely have my Go To dishes but I will share those in a bit. The menu has plenty to choose from even a big variety of burgers and they do offer Gluten Free options, so this is the place for families or groups. Amalfi's has always done a great job of creating a relaxed atmosphere. You will likely hear Italian music playing softly in the background and there is plenty of interesting and unique items hanging on the walls and sitting nestled around the fireplace. Great place for Date Nights!!! Be sure to arrive hungry! You will be greeted with warm bread, butter and bread dip. Most entrees come with soup or salad. Portions are huge! Save room for desserts, though. My Favorites: Apps-Calamari & Bruschetta Entrees-Chicken Veneziana with Angel Hair Pasta OR Smoked Turkey Special Hot Sub with Fries Burgers are good, too! Service was to go and pizza was ready at the specified time. While picking up, I noticed they had an all you can eat buffet so the place was busy. Not too loud though. The pizza was meh. The crust looked and tasted like pre-made frozen. Of the 3, the meat pie was the best. Would never go here of my own choosing. Sorry.

Even if I had to bake it another 8 mins when I got home, I was loving how it almost took me back to my hometown pizza in Chicago, almost.... But last night's order totally screwed the pooch! I should have known from the moment I called in to order that I was going to be sorely disappointed! Let me interject that even tho their website has a pop up for ordering pickup or delivery, they DO NOT deliver. Your order goes through DoorDash which does not allow you to customise much. Delivery was quick, and the communication post order was great but that s for DoorDash. Back to Village.... I always try to give the benefit of the doubt to everyone if possible. The girl who took my order may have been busy, or having a bad hair day, or maybe just stepping away from her TikTok world domination tour to fill in for the regular order taker, but she got it ALL wrong! My pizza was not Chicago style deep dish (upcharge of $3), my toppings were all distributed wrong on a paper thin crust, with very little sauce. The one thing she got right was to ease up on the cheese overload that would come with Chicago style, because we got very little. Needless to say, I have two words to describe last night's dinner.... EPIC FAILURE!!! I cannot comment on the ambiance since I wasn't the one who went in to pay and pick up. But it was busy as expected on a Friday night. So they must be doing something right.... I will have to really be hankerin' for a home slice to try Village Inn again. To be fair, I am sharing the photo of my first pizza, Chicago style deep dish that I sent to my kids to prove I might finally have found pizza worth eating. I did not take a photo of the failure, it was too depressing!

I, first, was introduced to Pasta Amore's food at an event they catered and I was very impressed with their desserts. The food was good but the desserts were amazing! Tres Leches cake and Cannolis! Based on this we decided to add the restaurant to our "Must Try" list...boy, were we wrong! Don't let the beauty of the outside fool you! We were dressed up and ready for a romantic Italian dinner date. Inside is moody and dark but not in an amore way, no, there's no romantic feel to this dimly lit restaurant. It's also confusing inside, like a maze. Staff were at a bar in the dining area on the left when we arrived but later moved to a bar in the main dining room. We were told to seat ourselves which is another source of confusion at dinner in an Italian restaurant. I get understaffed and conserving energy nowadays but is there such a thing as an Italian casual diner? Next, our drink order was taken from behind the bar by shouting at us, "What do you want to drink"? This was very off putting, especially for my dinner date because the server was behind him. I ordered a domestic beer but was informed there were no bottled beers except Red Oak and there was a craft beer on tap that was very close to a domestic taste. I agreed to go with that. As my beer was served, we were informed of the specials then server left. When the server returned to take our order, we were informed that there was one Cordon Bleu left, as well...this was not mentioned with the Specials. We both ordered the Chicken Breast stuffed with sundried tomatoes & spinach Special. This came with a House Salad and choice of dressing but we were offered a Caesar for an upcharge. I had to add on an appetizer order as we were not offered the opportunity. I ordered Fried Calamari. It is one of my absolute Italian favorites! Summary: Beer was good, I had two and my SO had one. I had to ask for the name of it and I only got the name of the brewery...Moon Brew. As I left, I saw a display on another table about the beers, I'm assuming it was an IPA but your guess is as good as mine! Ah, the app...my Italian favorite...Fried Calamari! Um, no, just no....please, do not order it! Definitely frozen but I know this about all restaurants but this calamari is just so bland, even the batter is flavorless. Maybe heated in oven or maybe a microwave but it was lukewarm at best. Worst Calamari I've ever eaten! House Bread and House Salad were subpar for an Italian restaurant but they do give you packets of butter with the bread and they have Blue Cheese dressing. It was edible and I was starving but definitely not the best bread or salad I've ever had! Entrees were good but you could tell it was not fresh or housemade. Both of our plates looked exactly the same and scratch-made food is not conducive to that level of uniformity or consistency! The taste was not fresh either. Again, it was edible and we were starving! $80.00 later, I would have rather ate at any fast food restaurant in town...there's definitely NO AMORE lost here!
