Heather and Paul did an excellent job! Being first time home buyers, we had a lot on concern and questions about the house. Heather discussed them very patiently with us and guided us through the process. Paul was very thorough with all inspections around the house and would pause in each room to tell us what he found and if it was a small or major fix and gave us some tips. The report was also very thorough and had estimated costs summary at the end for major repairs/changes which was very helpful. Overall a great experience. We had Heather for our home inspection on our very first home purchase . We initially had a different company but somehow the appointments got messed up and we were in a crunch to get an inspector and Foxx more than delivered! They were able to come in on the same day requested and ended up being a better value than the initial company. We arrived for our 2pm appointment at around 1:59pm and Heather was already there setting up and had things ready to go along with our agent. She was super friendly and patient to explain everything with us (first time homebuyers here). She was honest about the process and explained the "why" behind everything. She even explained the different tools she used, why, and their purpose in the inspection. We also appreciated that she told us that if there's anything we see that didn't sit well to let her know and she would do a look and ensure it was captured in her report. Our agent was in tow and if there were certain elements our agent needed to capture, she made sure to verbalize that to all of us. All in all, Heather was a rockstar and we would highly recommend Foxx to anyone looking for inspections in Maryland. Heather did a great job for us. She was very thorough in her inspection, going over all the important systems and patiently answering all of my questions. When we went through an inspection a few years ago, I felt the person was trying to cut corners and get done as quickly as possible. In contrast, Heather went out of her way to look into inconvenient dark corners like the crawlspace to find problems, and in fact found a couple of small issues there, which I'm glad we know about. Paul agreed to do a property inspection on his day off due to the short time period I had to meet the inspection contingency in my contract. Extremely thorough (much more than the guy who did the inspection on my last house 11 years ago) inspection--spent almost three hours going through the proerty with a fine toothed comb. We just had our inspection done this Tuesday morning 9am. Paul was our main inspector and Heather came by to set up radon test. My friend used their service not long ago and highly recommended them so I decided to go with them as well. First of all, the process went very smoothly because Heather, the owner of the company, is very responsive to emails, calls, and texts, even over the weekend. My contract went ratified Friday night and she was able to schedule my inspection on Tuesday, which did a great favor to my tight settlement schedule. Second, the professionalism and the technical skills they demonstrated made me feel much comfortable as a first time home buyer. I was very anxiety because one of my friends got messed up with a horrible inspection and ended up with tons of repairs.
