Instead of paying what he owes, Mike gave me bounced checks that sent my bank account into the negative--now I'm facing collections. For months, he's dodged responsibility by repeatedly telling me, "I'll have more information for you tomorrow." That same excuse has been used again and again with no follow-up, no resolution, and no accountability. Anthony Rodriguez was my sprayer. He caused a fire in my building October 3, 2024, which burnt half of my shop down. And with that happening and an insurance agent that is dishonest beyond belief, I have fought a battle. for eight months to try to take care of people. I could've easily declared bankruptcy and left everybody hanging,. The checks that Anthony has posted were given to him in good faith not to run through the bank but to wait as we got money. It has been eight months of hell trying to get this done and we've been in the process of finishing jobs to get him taken care of along with other people. This has been something I did not want to go through. But to put a post like his is extremely dishonest and one-sided. This is him just getting even because he's upset. I haven't taken a paycheck in eight months. I am fighting to get my business back to square one get the debts paid that the insurance wouldn't cover because of an insurance agent who is not particularly honest when writing my policy. I have worked hard to do a good job taking care of people. It's sad that Anthony has resorted to this sort of reprisal. Anybody that knows me knows that I am not this way in the circumstances I've been put in have been more than difficult. Anthony fails to disclose that he is the cause of the fire. I appreciated his help in trying to get things done, but I can't sacrifice my whole company to get him paid up when he demands. It has been a hard road. For everybody involved in this situation, customers losing their cabinets in the fire among other things. But one thing I've learned out of this, as the people are only willing to tell their side not be objective about both sides. Anthony was a employee and he did good work for me and he'll get paid but he knows as well as I do my financial situation and trying to get this company back to where it is. And any future customer or anybody looking at this wants to call me directly and talk. I am more than willing to talk with them. Again, it's sad that I have to write this rebuttal to what Anthony has posted. It's sad that he's taking this road. my company is a little literally weeks away from being to square one and I have work through the year on people that know me I know the work I do. The cabinetry was very well thought out and the build quality was second to none, the installer did a wonderful job ensuring that they were placed correctly, while still ensuring that the rest of the home was not damaged during the install. The owner of the company spent personally spent several hours repairing damage to the cabinets caused by another sub-contractor (granite countertop company). The repairs were quick and the results were very impressive.

He didn't have a lot of choices and was telling us if we wanted a particular stain or router edge, we'd have to drive 30 miles to bring it to him. We wanted to wait, but he talked us into a different unmatching style and color. He had us sign a sheet of graphing paper which didn't have any type of contract on it. He said he wouldn't be starting it until August 1, 2019 This was a Friday evening. Over the weekend we decided to go a different more convenient direction. We called him on Monday morning and told him we'd changed his mind and we wanted a refund. We were within the 3 day rescission period and it hadn't even been one full business day. He complained but promised to refund us after his 10 day vacation. He claimed he "didn't have the money anymore and spent it." WTF? We waited and after 10 days didn't see a credit on our credit card. We called and he said that he'd send the refund. After a few more days we decided to open a credit card dispute. He called and started yelling at me a few days later and said "Now it will take even longer for you to get your money." He claimed to have issued a refund already a few days prior. I checked with the credit card company and they said that if we released the funds that the return would've at least been pending but immediate. I called him again with the credit card company on the line again and he wouldn't answer the call and the credit card customer service agent in disputes left him a message. I will be contacting the BBB. BUYER BEWARE. Travis is unethical and unprofessional. He may see cheaper then others but you get what you pay for or maybe at least a $800 charge with no product! Buyers Beware of Travis Cottam, Quality Custom Cabinets in Farmington UT. We purchased 12 kitchen…read morecabinets from Travis and the cabinetry received are very poor quality in finish and craftsmanship. Travis comes off very friendly, honest and trustworthy. He requires payment in full, which unfortunately, is the first red flag we overlooked. If there are any concerns, he becomes very unprofessional, refuses to acknowledge or fix any problems you may have. We tried on 2 different occasions to address our concerns such as the cross grain scratching on the cabinet doors, the stain runs, the inconsistent stain color compared to the sample panel we ordered from, the lazy Susan cabinet that ended up in a shaker panel(we ordered raised panel) and it is significantly darker than the rest of the cabinetry, and the poor workmanship on the gritty finish causing a non smooth cabinet door finish, along with a drawer front that has a crack and hole right were he installed the cabinet pull we ordered through him. We have had multiple professional opinions and quotes for refinishing. Each one has stated his finish work is of poor quality and clearly did not take the time to or is just unskilled and being a cabinet maker. It will cost us another $2500 and another 4 months without a kitchen, to get our cabinets fixed. Travis states he has done 1000 cabinets and everybody has been happy but us. I feel Travis Cottam may have the potential to provide a quality cabinet based on what we were originally shown, however he did not on our build. I found a BBB review from another one of his customers that is almost identical to our concerns, and a yelp review which is very similar on his customer service after the fact. Travis with Quality Custom Cabinets does not stand behind the quality of his work, has no customer service and I feel it's only fair to share this so somebody else doesn't have experience the hardship we have.
