We are in the process of a pretty big remodel and was happy to walk through the doors. The receptionist was pleasant, greeted us, and asked how she could help. We told her we were looking for design ideas for tiling our new fireplace. She sent Chanelle to meet us in the tile area. We really enjoyed our time with Utah Design Center. Chanelle showed us some awesome tile and advised we visit DalTile and Esmer for samples. While at the Utah Design Center, we also got excited about lighting because of the various displays about the store. We asked Chanelle about various lighting options. We also asked Chanelle if the Utah Design Center offers general design consultancy. She said yes, they offer by-the-hour consultancy services - very cool! When we got home, we talked about the myriad of options and decided we really do want professional assistance to help establish a cohesive vision across textures, colors, shapes, designs, etc. So, I called the Utah Design Center, spoke with the receptionist, and asked for Chanelle. I left a voice message. A couple days later, I hadn't heard anything, so called again. I spoke with the receptionist, asked for Chanelle, and left a voice message. We never received a return phone call. I don't mind calling a second time when my first call is not returned, but there will not be a third. I have to say, there is no excuse to not return phone calls, let alone two. I mean, isn't this where it all starts? My wife and I were really excited after our visit and, frankly, we were surprised we did not hear back. Thank goodness there are a lot of really good designers in the area. We are working with someone else and are thrilled the direction our project is heading.

I had a disposal leak the day before I was scheduled to be away. I trust Underfoot so much, I had zero trepidation and only gratitude when Deborah was able to get Nate, a fantastic wood professional to come by and access the damage. Nate went above and beyond to make sure my house was safe while I was away. He even went and bought replacement batteries for one of his tools to measure moisture and returned to my house to look at floor content. He then went into the crawl space to check for water. We reached out to Wood Man Floors 6 weeks ago to explore installing hardwood floors in our home…read more Karen initially was very friendly and helpful but as we asked further questions about the process and inquired about specifics she became incredibly annoyed and unresponsive. I looked back over her reviews and noticed many are from 3 years ago. I'm not sure what has changed in this business, but the owner had little to no customer service. The few calls I made to the shop she often seems harried and agitated. As a consumer, when you are looking at spending thousands and thousands of dollars on a project, questioning what specific fees are included and exploring flooring style and color options is paramount. We wasted 6 weeks waiting for reply's and trying to get more information. We needed to line up a few different contractors to complete the project in phases. Trying to get Woodman to agree to a timeline was nearly impossible. I tried to explain myself and talk through the project further when Karen hung up on me. Needless to say I was shocked. When a company makes you feel bad for inquiring and exploring options, showing outright irritation and impatience with you, it was definitely a red flag. Also, as we visited Intermountain Hardwood and started exploring wood suppliers in the valley we were surprised at how much more reasonable other's prices were compared to Karen's. For instance, she is charging folks $600 per block tread (for each step) versus others charging $200. Many contractors we spoke to were shocked at the mark up. Karen also, constantly calls you honey and when you question the price of something she keeps you on the line by saying "I'm sure we can work something out honey." Very grating and manipulative to be called "honey" over and over again while trying to conduct business. I would not recommend this wood supplier, their communication skills are deplorable and the product is way overpriced!

The project was done in a day and he left the room clean and the flooring was installed very well. A very fair price and the workmanship was also very good. The second project that he did for us was an installation of walnut flooring in a bedroom which had some fairly complex cuts. The work was done excellent and we could not be happier with the results. The work area was clean and he did a very good job installing and finishing the floors. We couldn't decide on a stain color so Cory was nice enough to provide sample stain plots on the floor and sand them off once we'd made our decision, ultimately it was no stain. I can't recommend Crafted Stance enough, excellent job, fair price and a knowledgeable guy who you can tell cares about his craft.

When our bids came back, Pedro's bid was 60% less than the cheapest other bid. We saw his reviews on Thumbtack and decided to go with his bid. We are so glad that we did. The other bids wouldn't have allowed us to put hardwood into our family room, but Pedro's was within our budget. We had a specific look we were looking for and he did it. He responded before the job to all inquiries promptly and he did the same even after the job was over. He started and completed the job on schedule. He worked hard and paid attention to details. He communicated extremely well during the work too. We had a previous refinisher that left swirl marks in the hardwood. No swirl marks now. I HIGHLY recommend Pedro and his team to anyone that needs hardwood flooring refinishing or installation.
