Very disappointed in our experience at Foxtail. We wrapped up dinner down the street and decided to try Foxtail for the first time to grab a dessert. (party of 4) On us for sure, but we arrived 5 minutes before they were closing and one of the employees said "If you have a big order you're going to have to find somewhere else to go". They might've not meant it the way it came out but that wasn't the best way to convey we are closing. Anyways, we ordered a couple of treats and ate it outside since they were closing up shop. 1st questionable thing was my friend found an ant inside his ice-cream. We all laughed it off, never know the ant might've found it's way in there after we received the ice cream. But then.... as I was eating my ice cream and got to the end there was a surprise for me. I took a bite and discovered a long piece of hair that was inside the ice cream. Pretty disgusting..... I'm happy to try Foxtail again, maybe just for the coffee but after that experience my rating is going to be low. read more

I am currently on the hunt to find the best matcha in Atlanta! I stumbled across Foxtail when I was in the area and saw they had some good matcha flavors because I am sucker for banana cream matchas. The shop was clean and quaint but a little on the louder side when I visited. The lady at the counter encouraged me to get a matcha lemonade as it popular amongst the staff. Although, I did not take her offer the day I visited I will definitely be back to try it. The banana matcha with oat milk I ordered was delicious and I have no complaints. I was invited to the foxtail coffee shop by a new book club, Mocha Girls Read. The shop's entrance is inside a cute courtyard and when the weather is milder, I can see myself sitting outside with a warm drink from Foxtail. I was greeted by a the barista and they suggested I tryan iced shaken chai with whole milk and a warm chocolate muffin. Both were really tasty. I look forward to visiting again soon. read more

These guys came to my work and supported the school with free coffee which was kind, but I also visited the space and found it quite welcoming. The courtyard is nothing crazy but it is nice that they have some outdoor seating. Coffee wise I tried just the regular hot coffee (black) and the cold brew. Both were very good and their regular cold brew is a nitro one. I'd come back to try the sorbet/affogato or one of the fresh pastries. They also offer to go cold brew in growlers (this one I'm told is not nitro) and a variety of breakfast sandwiches served all day. read more

My brother and I were JUST saying we need a new coffee shop in downtown Decatur (rip Java Monkey), and then out pops Foxtail. I know Foxtail from their locations in Athens and Savannah, and was excited to hear they were opening a location in Decatur. I went to their employee training day (accompanied by free drinks!) a few days before the grand opening, which was great. The vanilla latte My brother and I came here two days after opening for a little work sesh, which also went great. The employees were all super friendly, well trained (obviously) and quick, and management appeared to be on top of everything. The space itself is lovely, and super condusive towards working/chatting. While I would have preferred a non-chain to open in dt Decatur, I think Foxtail has done a great job so far. I had high hopes for this new coffee spot in Decatur. The inside is bright, clean, and beautifully decorated; definitely a nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended for me. I ordered an iced latte with honey and asked for extra honey. From the time I placed my order, it took about 17 minutes to get my drink, and they weren't very busy. Since they're new, they may still be working out their flow. The taste was disappointing. Even with the extra honey, it wasn't sweet at all, not even slightly. I may give them another try in a few months after they've had more time to settle in. Also worth noting: there's no free parking nearby. read more

Manager was incredibly rude. I paid for a large and received a regular, went to get it fixed.. cashier was very friendly and apologetic. I was running late for an appointment and asked if they had started the remake, manager automatically gave me an attitude and took the cup I was drinking before even giving me a remake. Left it out of reach in a way that seemed she wanted me to know I wasn't allowed to drink the mess up even though it was going to be thrown out. I won't be back. read more

I love how I ask for a green tea for HERE, and I get a to-go cup when this (older white) guy next to me has a literal mug and saucer. Seriously?? The claim is "it comes like that". So what does one have to order to not get it in a to-go cup when I'm sitting locally in the place?? My partner and I came here and it's aesthetically nice, but oddly strange about the cup for some reason. Maybe it's just for coffee, but I've never been to other coffee shops where that's the case... whatever. Spacious place though, likely to get a seat for 1-2 people. Whew, this was a tough review to right. I enjoyed my latte one day, but the next time I dropped in the location was severely understaffed. Instead of telling folks they'd wait 30+ minutes for a beverage, they kept taking orders then informing once the customer followed up later. I even tried ordering just a hot coffee, that never came. Splitting the difference at 3 stars since I had a 4.5 star experience and a 1 star experience within a few days. read more

The location of this place is really nice and the inside is quite pretty. The place is clean, including the restrooms as well. The service is quite good and the food was great as well. This place was nice, clean, and the customer service was great. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and semi-spacious with comfortable seating options to work, relax, write, or read. I didn't try any of the food since I'm currently fasting, but I've had their coffee at other locations across the country and in various airports, and they consistently deliver the company and industry standard. This particular location feels peaceful while still having a sense of life and energy to it. I'll definitely be adding it to my regular rotation of coffee houses that I frequent, and I highly recommend it. read more

I had a great time at Foxtail Coffee in Decatur! I had an iced London fog shaker and a small gelato with pistachio and chocolate. I loved the gelato but wasn't a fan of the London fog shaker. My friend got the same and she enjoyed both. There are lots of options on the menu for various drinks and treats, including allergy friendly options. The drinks and gelato were prepared quickly with little wait and the employees were friendly. The ambiance of the cafe is really nice as well. The interior is spacious and clean, and there is outdoor seating available if you want to sit somewhere more quiet. There is poor sound absorption inside, so it's fairly loud (at least at the time I was there). The vibe is chic, with high ceilings and good lighting. There are also adult coloring books you can use for free. Parking was easy when I went, but in general parking in Downtown Decatur can be a nightmare. I feel like it was worth it, but it should be noted that depending on the time of day, you'll have to factor in the time it takes to find a spot, parallel park, pay, and walk a couple streets over to the cafe. I had a wonderful time and plan to come back with my family sometime so we can look for the hidden speakeasy. read more

I don't usually drink coffee--I'm typically a matcha latte girl--but today I wanted a little extra energy and decided to try something different. I had the pleasure of ordering with Michele, and she was absolutely delightful. She has such a warm presence and beautiful energy, was very knowledgeable about the menu, and recommended a vanilla hazelnut latte. What stood out most was that she genuinely cared about my experience. She even told me that if I didn't love it, to let her know, as she wanted to make sure I was happy with my choice. That level of service goes a long way. The latte was delicious, and I'm so grateful for her patience with my initial indecision and for steering me in the right direction. My partner and I went here today for a hangout to just decompress from the work week. It was pretty cool being there for the first time and the atmosphere was nice and quiet, which was nice for a coffee shop. There were a couple of points I want to mention though that stood out. First I liked that the bathrooms were gender neutral, especially since my partner is transmasc. The second point I wanted to make is that the quiet ambiance left when this large group came in with kids, nothing wrong with the size of the group, but I wanted to point out the behavior of them was really loud and noisy when others were there like us just trying to enjoy the ambiance. Their kind of behavior would have been better suited for a different place, like a sports bar or large restaurant because it was very distracting to me and more than likely others. I just wish people had better social awareness when it comes to being mindful of others in spaces were that type of behavior doesn't match the place. read more

First off I love the look of the place, staff were friendly and responsive. I enjoyed my iced espresso. Small suggestion, if someone is happily paying $6 for an espresso maybe skip charging.25 for a sprinkle of cinnamon. I know it's not much but even big box stores don't charge for cinnamon. Glacially slow. Almost 40 minutes from when I entered the door until I got a cortado. Sure, it was a busy Sunday morning, but not swamped, just steady traffic. Also, the guy taking orders at the counter chatted at length with a customer as the line got longer. Staff was nice and apologizing to everyone for the waits, but if they don't figure out how to speed things up they will not succeed. read more
