This is a review of my first cupping (tasting) of their regularly held Tastings at Ten on Fridays. ++. Ambiance is industrial chic loft. One of many businesses inside King Plow Arts Center, to arrive at CCC, one must walk through a maze of updated historic industrial buildings. Appears to be a mix use space of businesses, arts and event venues. Well preserved history, hip cool artsy vibe. ++ Coffee cupping was wonderful! It took about 90 minutes and they answered questions after the tasting. I learned about coffee history, processing, Gesha coffee and found my first CCC roast to my liking!. Surprisingly I found it similar to wine making but with much less tradition and regulation. Enjoyable this blind cupping was. +++. Price is free for this event and they offer some that are fee based open to public. Check their web site. +++ Service was super! There were 3 CCC employees who led and shared their wealth of knowledge. Impressive they were to a kindly address a wide range of coffee drinkers. +. Parking is paid garage at King Plow Art Center. The parking deck is south of KPAC and is time based. It was $10 for over 90 minutes. Overall, It's a short walk from the parking lot and CCC wasn't difficult to find. There isn't any signs to get there as it's one of many business renting at KPAC. I enjoyed the blind tasting and am planning to attend another event to explorer CCC's roasts!

It's a gorgeous space on the 2nd level with a ton of room to stretch out with long tables, chairs, tons of espresso machines, coffee equipment and paraphernalia, and educational necessities. Where this may be a training center, they also host coffee cuppings every Friday at the center which are a blast. If you've never been to a coffee cupping, it is where you'll have the opportunity to try several roasts which will be freshly ground, brewed full-emersion in a cup, and studied/tasted. You'll get to walk through this with the group and pull out tasting and aroma notes of each coffee. The staff that runs the center is so kind and wonderfully knowledgeable. Counter Culture has done things with coffee that have shapes the way the world has learned about coffee farming, growing, producing, roasting, brewing, etc. They are such a great group of folks. I ordered the tonic (which is a dollar cheaper probably because it's slightly smaller, but for full price they offer a sweeter latte version). As a sweet drink connoisseur, I was surprised that I didn't even need the sweeter version, it was lovely as is! The drink is refreshing and fruit forward, with orange peel and a cherry in the drink. We decided we would wait until the weekend since we would have to drive from Cobb county to the city. I started doing some research and did not see ube latte on the menu. I called the phone number listed on yelp- but it appears it is just a cell number and went directly to voicemail. I went to the website and found an email address. I sent a basic question/ do you have an Ube latte on your menu? To my surprise I received a response! This simple response was exhibit A that they don't play about customer service On Saturday morning I arrived to the shop around 11am! The coffee shop is a neighborhood spot! As such, you will just have to find street parking in the neighborhood. I ended up parking a block away. This place was crowded! I did have to wait in a line. However, I enjoyed checking out the item for sale while waiting in line. The book titles had me laughing , this is your go to spot for a unique gift! We ended up ordering the following: 1. Hot Matcha latte with ube and oat milk 2. Hot ube latte with oat milk 3. Cheese danish NOTE: I did confirm that the matcha they use is NOT pre- sweetened. This is a huge plus in my book!! The item came out quickly. All items weee served in to go containers. I am not sure if this is just standard practice even if you are dining in. We were able to grab a table outside! However, this place was crowded and open seating was limited! My matcha was AMAZING! It was not too sweet, which is how I like my matcha. The cheese danish was also delightful. My friend said she enjoyed her latte too. I will note that I did not taste the Ube flavor. This coffee shop is a vibe, but also serves yo tasty drinks and treats! It had more of a curry flavor than a traditional Jamaican patty, the pastry was soft instead of flaky, and at $8 it was the most expensive patty I've purchased. The pastry also fell apart while I was eating it, and half of it ended up on the floor. I'd personally skip the patty and stick to the drinks.

There was plenty of free parking on the Saturday morning and upon entering, I could smell the fresh coffee roasting and food being prepared. The large menu on the wall with all the choices of specialty drinks and food was so welcoming. The staff made each sandwich description mouthwatering. We checked in and met with one of the owners, Devin, for the coffee cupping experience. We were giving a cup and spoon to taste the freshly brewed coffees. We were offered 8 different kinds of coffees from around the world. I personally enjoyed the light roasted coffee best. It was so floral and smelled amazing. I learned so much about the tasting notes and preparation of coffee from growing seeds to how the coffee shop processes and roasts the beans . Devin was really a great presenter too. We will visit again in the future.

She reassured everyone that this was not a common occurrence so I'm not concerned about that for the future. I got the iced latte and it wasn't the best I've ever had, but not the worst. The cup it came in was adorable so that definitely helped. Considering the wait to order was so long I figured the wait for the coffee would reflect that, but that was not the case and it came quickly. There's also a lot of seating, including booths, tables, and couches. It was relatively crowded when I was there but at no point were all the seats taken. The parking lot is huge and is free! Do not be discouraged by the ParkMobile signs, you only have to pay after 5pm when they close. They do allow dogs, and have a water bowl inside for them.
