two sandwiches with lettuce and tomatoes
    Timothy E.

Sadly subway closed so I had to find something else. Thought I'd give foxes a try for a hoagie. Wilted lettuce and old tomatoes with diced freakin cheese on dry old bread. So disappointed right now. Finest quality since 1971. Yea, even back then this sammich would have been taken as an insult. They were very fast in preparation, but this is an epic fail. I wish I had two more thumbs so I could give this place four thumbs down.

One of my favorite pizza's from back home as a child! The pepperoni pizza is the best and amazing price!

We order from here because it's convenient and a good value. The Italian hoagies are really good.

Good pizza but lady refused to honor coupon because she said it wasn't a corporate location. Coupon said it was only good at this location.

They just completed a remodel and it looks great. Take out only. Excellent pizza crust and generous toppings.

What a nice spot in charming, little Harmony, PA. On our way back to Erie from Pittsburgh, Harmony…read moreInn was our lunch spot. The menu serves a host of German-inspired items and a wide selection of beers from North Country Brewing. The potato pancakes were large with crispy edges, but I wish more of the pancakes had a crispy crunch; they were more like large hashbrown patties. My Nashville hot chicken sandwich was tasty and I liked the à la carte cole slaw and warmed red cabbage. The service was friendly and attentive. I look forward to choosing Harmony Inn as a dining spot again in the future.

According to the restaurant's website, Harmony Inn was built in the 1850s and is reported to be haunted by a ghost. Harmony Inn accepts walk-in customers as well as reservations through OpenTable. I made a reservation for dinner for my husband and me. When we arrived at the restaurant, we saw that the exterior of the house has cute eyeball-shaped windows and a painted mustache. Seating is available on an outdoor patio, in interior rooms of the house, and on an outdoor balcony. We sat on the balcony and enjoyed the privacy and fresh air. Please note that OpenTable says that the dress code is business casual, but most customers wore casual clothes. Throughout our meal, our waitress's service was timely and friendly. Here are my ratings for our foods and drink: Giant Bavarian Brezeln - 4.5 stars - This soft pretzel was indeed a giant size and came with mustard and beer cheese. Potato Pancakes - 4 stars - Two large potato pancakes were served with apple chutney. Blackened Catfish Spaetzle - 4.5 stars - The catfish had a flavorful seasoning and was served atop spaetzle noodles mixed with peppers, onions, and corn. Jagerschnitzel - 3.5 stars - My husband ate this main course, and I took a couple of bites. The pork schnitzel was breaded and fried and topped with bacon, onions, and mushroom sauce, but my husband said that he would prefer more flavor. The sides were mashed potatoes and braised red cabbage. Pumpkin Spice Cake - 4.5 stars - This slice of cake was a seasonal special. The cake was moist, had a nice flavor of pumpkin and spice, and was topped with rich icing and a spectacular-looking caramel-spun sugar. Autumn Leaves Mocktail - 4 stars - This mocktail contained cranberry juice, orange juice, Sprite soda, and lime juice, and it tasted good.

I…read morelove the personal touch of knowing the people who have worked there (RIP Ed) and still work there. (Michelle is a sweetheart) Their latest evolution has been to offer a pretty extensive sandwich menu and to collaborate with Pappy's BBQ. And I'll share more about that later. I was frequenting this place (weekly) to buy lunch meat and other breakfast/dinner meats (bacon, chicken, burgers, steaks, etc). But their hours have changed yet again (used to be open at 9am, then that changed to 10am, then that recently changed to 11am) so it's harder for me to go there when they're open. They do sell quality meats and various other groceries like veggies, milk, and bread. I had tried their food when they first started offering burgers and a few other sandwiches and pizza. Unfortunately I wasn't impressed by anything I tried and so I just stuck to buying groceries from them. Then came their collaboration with Pappy's BBQ, which introduced a more robust sandwich menu along with a BBQ menu. Well, one day I was getting lunch meat and heard about a half dozen people ordering various chicken sandwiches. My interest was piqued. A day or so later I had a chicken parm hoagie to-go and wow. It was huge and packed with flavor. I recently ordered another one and I'm here to say, its awesomeness was not a fluke. $15 for a footlong chicken parm sandwich that has plenty of wonderfully seasoned/prepared chicken, a tasty sauce, and sufficient cheese (you can never have enough provolone/mozzarella) - all packed in a tasty mancini's hoagie bun. It's worth every dollar. Chicken parm is my favorite type of sandwich and Elluingers chicken parm hoagie, in my opinion, is waaay better than Goodfellos, and decidedly better than Aviva Brick Oven. That is no small feat in my book. Aviva has been the standard for all things Italian in our house. And while they still own the throne for pizza, they've been dethroned for chicken parm sandwiches. So in conclusion, it might have taken a while, in my opinion, for Elluingers to find their sweet spot in terms of serving hot foods, but I think they may have found it! Stop in, and give them a try! If nothing else, get some quality groceries from a friendly family-owned/run business.

I like the store itself…read more My second purchase and still disappointed. Purchased Strip Steaks that were very tough. This weekend went in for their Brisket sandwich; a low-quality sandwich regardless of the price. It was served on bread with same texture as Town Talk bread, one side was toasted the other was mush. There was barely any brisket on it. The coleslaw was the size of a condiment to-go container; think of filling a container of ketchup from other restaurants. For your knowledge, there are several other options right on Main Street to try. I would be more than willing to pay more for better quality.

The menu listed mostly BBQ meats, sandwiches, tacos, salads, and sides. Furthermore, deli meats, cheeses, pastas, sauces, condiments, and other foods were available for purchase. A dining room contained clean tables and chairs. We ordered the Boss Hog, a $50 platter that included my choice of five meats and my choice of three sides plus cornbread. We chose the brisket (4.5 stars), smoked ribs (4.5 stars), pulled pork (5 stars), smoked chicken (4.5 stars), and jalapeno-cheddar sausage (5 stars). The other meat was burnt ends, and we could have added it for an extra $6. Sauces included a dark, sweet "Pappy" sauce and an orange, mustardy "Mimi" sauce, both of which I liked. For sides we chose the mac n cheese (4, cheese could be thicker), smoked BBQ beans (tangy, 5 stars), cheesy bacon hash browns (4.5 stars), and cornbread (5 stars). The other side was coleslaw, and we could have added it for an extra $5. In addition, we ordered a half-length Cheesesteak sandwich for $8. It contained steak, peppers, onions, and our choice of cheese of American. The steak was thick rather than my husband's preferred thinly sliced steak, but the ingredients tasted very good.

It was fall-off-the-bone tender. The rub on it was so flavorful. Their house BBQ sauce was decent. The chicken didn't even need it. For my sides, I got baked beans, which were excellent. They were loaded with flavor and had good texture. The mac and cheese was creamy and tasty. The corn bread was some of the best that I've had. Moist, pieces of corn, and sweetness. It was fantastic! They have a good selection deli meats and cheeses and other packaged meats. The service was excellent and quick. My meal - which came with quite a bit of food - was very affordable. I can't wait to come back to try more items!
