I had a great experience at this florist. I came in looking for a small flower arrangement for a birthday present. There were limited options for flowers arrangements already made, but I found one arrangement that was discounted. A couple of the flowers were already dying but the florist took them out and replaced the dead ones without a charge! The florist went out of her way for me and greeted me as soon as I walked through the door. read more

I wanted order flower delivery from Foxchase Florist and support a local business in the process. But charging $25 in fees for $60 flowers is unreasonable. It was also quite annoying that you don't find out about these fees until the very last part of the order process. By then you've written a card, provided delivery instructions, inputted the delivery name/address, added your info and provided payment details. It would be much smarter if this business would state up front there's a $15 delivery fee plus a $10 "service fee" in addition to the optional Driver's Tip. In our case, the total cost for $61 flowers was nearly $100. No thanks, we declined and ordered from Conklins instead. read more

My boyfriend ordered an arrangement for our anniversary..... to be delivered to our hotel. The flowers arrived and I was very surprised! They were beautiful.... lillies, roses, mums, and a variety of filler. Beautiful arrangement and my only wish is that I wish some of the lilies were still closed or semi closed. I may get 5-6 days out of the arrangement and that's it. The roses are fully bloomed as well. read more

I ordered a sympathy floral arrangement - the same arrangement - for two different family members (different addresses). I selected the "Premium" order over the "Regular". Granted, I don't think the arrangement size was on the website. But I was embarrassed when the recipients sent me photos of their flowers. The arrangements were so small. I assumed they would be "larger", "fuller" and "upsized" for paying extra Premium....but no. Next time I'll order a taller design. read more

This Alexandria florist provides quality service with great pricing. I ordered a dozen white roses for delivery for a friend's birthday and they only came out to be $70, came with a glass vase, and they were even nice enough to wave the delivery fee due to the receivers proximity to the shop. Definitely will be using them again in the future. read more

I meant to post this before now! For several months, I've been getting flowers every other week from Foxchase Florist, and their flowers are simply superb. The flowers are fresh and long-lasting, and the arrangements are artistic and beautiful. With just a bit of care, each arrangement that I get lasts for two weeks, and I couldn't be happier with them! I highly recommend supporting this business. read more

Service was very friendly, attentive & personalized. My mom LOVED the arrangement & called it classy, bountiful & beautifully arranged. It was hand delivered to the hospital & a check-in to make sure I knew all went well was followed through with- very thoughtful & complete service With delivery, was only about $7. More than the domestic companies (FTD, All About Flowers etc) BUT for the personalized customer service & attention, worth it !! read more

PLEASE consider calling Ganesh at Foxchase Florist for your floral needs! My husband forgot to get a corsage for the father daughter dance tonight. I called everywhere but no one was open on a Sunday. Ganesh answered and said he'd have a little rose corsage ready in an hour. My expectations weren't high... but he was so kind and understanding in order to help another dad to wow his little girl. Let me tell you- the corsage is BETTER THAN I COULD HAVE ASKED FOR! It's so beautiful but most of all I'm so grateful how Ganesh went above and beyond when he knew I'd be grateful for any help At all! Will definitely be a returning customer!!! read more

Went there 01sept2016. It was my b day and the florist made my order extra special! Seriously this place is great! Go to this place personally and custom your order there and she will take care of you. I see the majority of complaints are about FTD orders. I think that's funny cause FTD orders are just awful in general unless you order well in advance. Best florist on that side of the neighborhood. read more

I called in at 11:45 AM on a Sunday to order flowers to be delivered that afternoon. I didn't realize they closed at noon. Ganesh, the manager, helped me figure out what I wanted since none of the photos on the website appealed to me for a new baby. He checked his refrigerator to make certain he could fulfill this order and designed a beautiful arrangement. He told me he would even deliver it himself that afternoon. Foxchase Florist excels in customer service. Ganesh texted me a photo before it left the shop; he called my son to let him know he was on the way to the hospital with the delivery, he met him in the lobby, and then he called me to let me know the delivery was complete and how my son reacted to the lovely arrangement. I have never had such excellent customer service from any company in my lifetime. Not only customer service, but the quality and freshness of the flowers and the presentation was remarkable. I highly recommend this florist and consider him to be a jewel in Alexandria. read more

I wanted to order surprise birthday flowers for a friend during COVID-19 *and* support a local business. I'm so glad I chose Foxchase! I filled out their online wedding questionnaire last August and didn't hear back. When I called they looked it up and said they were available for my date in late October and would call me with a proposal. I then received a call from their partner florist - Greensleeves in Fairfax. After several calls and emails to discuss details, I was promised a proposal..... which never came. After a frantic search I was able to find a new florist for the upcoming wedding, but I am completely shocked by the lack of professionalism that I encountered dealing with these two businesses. read more

The worst! The arrangment had some dead flowers and 3 broken. They also they had a bunch of green filler. The ones ordered were lush, full of flowers and very little green. I received them on Friday morning and called to report the sad arrangment. They offered to delivery another arrangement on Monday! I said, no I will come pick up another one today. When I got there, the new one looked almost as bad as the original. I saw a photo and price of my flowers while waiting and told them that I didn't think my husband was going to be happy with what I got. An EXTREMELY RUDE man came out and just said we'll refund you and shooshed me away...literally! He continued being obnoxius all the way the door when I left telling him that we WON't BE BACK. He just said, GOOD. So the customer service is as bad as the flowers! read more

Don't know what to say. Aweful. I ordered flowers through a florist in DC that I regularly use and they are just great but they don't deliver to VA. They had to transfer the order to Foxchase for this delivery. I confirmed from my regular florist that three days prior that they would be transferred and delivered on Valentine's day. I called the day before to confirm and they contacted Foxchase and confirmed. Around 4 pm on Valentine's day NO flowers. I called my florist they were shocked and reached out to foxchase. I ordered two separate orders of flowers. One set arrived however, the other set for a friend did NOT arrive. The driver seemed confused and wanted to deliver someone else's flowers. A called to the florist yesterday went unanswered at 5 pm (they are supposed to be opent until 6pm). Two calls today the next day are unanswered and the mailbox is full . . most likely calls from people wondering where their flowers are. This is aweful. I would never use this florist and will complain to teleflora. The flowers were for my wife's girlfriend that recently broke up a very long relationship. read more

I ordered my flowers in person on the 7th of October. They were suppose to be picked up for my wedding on the 21st of October at 10am. When I arrived on the 21st they claimed it was ordered for the weekend prior. The receipt I had said the 21st to be picked up and the lady who worked there still claimed I was wrong. After a few minutes of arguing she decided to remake the bouquet. She claimed she didn't need to see a picture of what I wanted because she remembered. 30 minutes later she came out with a bouquet that didn't resemble what I asked for to begin with. There was no babysbreath and green leaves all over which I didn't ask for. She also gave me Lillie's that weren't even open. I will never go back to this florist. Quite a start to my wedding day. The picture from the internet is what I requested and the other is what I received read more

Awful. Just received a Valentine's delivery and the flowers were brown, wilted and sad. Not fresh. I decided I would call and let the store know what happened vs letting my husband know, after all he tried to do a nice thing and the rest was out of his control. I Called to let the shop know of my experience and the reply was " we'll re-deliver on Tuesday or Wednesday" No apology, and when I said a re-delivery was not necessary and that I wanted a refund he asked for my information and then stated that they would come pick the flowers up on Tuesday, that he didn't care if they were dead or not, that he would pick them up.( as if he was doing me a favor) So now I'm forced to keep these dead, pathetic flowers in my office so they can pick them up at their convenience. No concern about making the situation right. No apology, totally apathetic. Foxchase is the puppy mill of florists. Do yourself a favor prospective customers and save yourself the time, money and embarrassment of their sub par product and customer service. read more

Foxchase Florist - Happy Valentine's Day! Awful. - Florists Near Me - Alexandria, Virginia

I ordered flowers from FTD for my husband's anniversary gift and specifically chose an arrangement to be done by a local florist instead of FedEx as I wanted to support a local business. Bad idea. The $84 arrangement was small, skimpy with dead flowers. Terrible. Thanks for ruining a special day. read more

I wish there was an option for negative stars, but alas, one star will have to suffice for the travesty of service I just experenced. I ordered lavender birthday roses early this past Wednesday for next day delivery with a different store in the general area (not Foxchase). Due to my address, I was just outside their delivery zone and my order was wired to Foxchase Florist for delivery. When the recipient received the first bouquet on Thursday, the roses were pink, despite the fact that the correct color rose was pictured on the website I ordered from. The recipient (while abundantly gracious) doesn't like pink, so I called and requested a change with the original store, which they agreed to. A hiccup, but no problem with the origin store. Today, someone came from Foxchase Florist again and brought the SAME pink roses. When I stated they were the same roses, he told me the rose color name and said they "looked a little purple if you held them up to the light", further claiming that they should be sufficient. Huh?!? When I respectfully disagreed, he then aggressively said that he can give a refund and demanded both sets of roses back, claiming that he would refund the money. When I stated I had absolutely no problem sending him back with the bouquet he just delivered, but it's poor customer service to take the first bouquet back along with the balloon and note (especially since they are the ones who got the color wrong), I was given a poor analogy about an automobile contract and told that if I went to court in the analogy, I'd lose. Now, he didn't know he was speaking with an attorney at the time and I hadn't mentioned anything legal at all, so the ENTIRE experience was bizarre at this point. I simply told him he was inaccurate and handed him both bouquets of roses back. He then told me, a licensed attorney, that I "needed to study more" while walking away. I then called the store of origin to explain what happened, at which point I found out that the guy who insulted me was THE OWNER OF FOXCHASE FLORIST. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT give your hard earned money to someone who may insult you if they get your order wrong. There are many other florists in Alexandria and the surrounding areas. Do yourself a favor and avoid the headache. I wish I had. read more

I ordered 6 arrangements (in person). Each containing a purple rose. I'm not a big floral purchaser so I can't speak to the price (about $12 each). It was done quickly. She held them in the fridge to be picked up later for me. A friend of mine had to pick them up for me which was no issue. She even waited an hour after closing (he was WAY late) for him to pick them up. The ladies receiving them were happy. I have no complaints. read more

This place is outrageous. For an $80 bouquet ordered through FTD, they sent a bouquet of flowers that looked like a $5 wilted sale bouquet from the grocery store. A real embarrassment. I guess they count on the fact that most people don't see the bouquet they send to someone or that the recipient will not complain since it is a gift and it is the thought that counts. It is telling that the bouquet arrived with a card that said "if we ever fail to meet your expectations, please let us know." They count on the fact that few people will complain and if they do complain they want to make sure that they don't complain to FTD directly. Having sent and received many flowers over the years I can say that this place is a major ripoff and should be avoided at all costs. I will be contacting FTD to file a complaint. read more

My husband ordered an $80 arrangement through FTD which then used Foxchase Florist. What was delivered was 5 roses surrounded by a few carnations. First, it wasn't even a half dozen roses, only 5. Second, it looked like something you could buy from the grocery store for $20. This was not an $80 arrangement. My husband called FTD to complain and was told the florist would come back to deliver a more acceptable arrangement. They never did, but lied and said they did. We called FTD again and were refunded for the full amount paid. First lesson, never use FTD or Foxchase Florist. Second lesson, just go to the Shoppers, they have beautiful 18 long-stem rose vases for only $40! read more

Worst experience I've ever had with a florist. If I could, I would give them 0 stars. I ordered flowers and paid extra for same day delivery. I called the shop at 5:45 PM as the recipient never received them - the phone was answered by an extremely rude woman who told me the driver just went out. She forgot to hang up and I overheard her telling her colleagues that they forgot and never made the flowers. The driver then calls me 15 minutes later claiming the address I listed was not real (it was, I've had no problems ever delivering). The driver kept asking me what he should do and I asked him if he could use another directions app. After 15 minutes of not getting anywhere with the driver (who also rudely kept insisting I gave him a "bad address" instead of trying to trouble shoot with me), I get connected with the manager. The manager berates for me for the entire 10 minute call as if it was my fault that his staff never made the order, and then couldn't figure out how to deliver it. When I asked for a refund, he instead continued to tell me how this was my fault - he finally agreed -5 the 15 minute phone call mark to refund me. I have also reported this business to the BBB - I never write reviews but Foxchase Florist should seriously not be in business. read more
