I placed an order in advance of Valentine's Day for a corporate gift to specifically avoid their VDay rush. I made sure to order in time for their cutoff to ensure same day delivery. A whole 24 hours passed and no confirmation of delivery, no word from the recipient that they had received the arrangement. I called very early the next morning and spoke to a woman who said she was the store manager. She said they normally send out email confirmations upon delivery and checked my order. Sure enough, she told me my arrangement did not go out same day. Additionally, she had the wrong address listed on their end. Not sure how that happened as I checked my receipt and it had the correct address. If I hadn't called to check on the delivery, the arrangement would have ended up at the wrong address. Very unhappy with the demeanor of this woman who was very non chalant at their mistake. She asked me what could be done to make up for the oversight. I asked her what she felt would be appropriate. She said she would make sure that the delivery went out "priority" and she would add some flowers to the arrangement to make up for it. I'm in California and called at 7:30AM PT / 10:30AM Eastern. I didn't receive an email confirmation of delivery until 8PM ET that night!! So much for her promise on "priority." Additionally, the address listed on my confirmation STILL had the incorrect address. I tried calling the store as soon as I received the email to confirm where the arrangement was delivered. No answer. I left a voicemail and asked for someone to call me back. I've given them more than 24 hours to respond and still have not heard from them. I am not familiar with the area as I live on the west coast, and I relied on Yelp to find a "good" florist. I carefully read through reviews for several rated florists and decided to go with Bloom Fresh Flowers. What a let down when there were other highly rated options to choose from. I made three attempts to contact the establishment by phone and left a voicemail twice on what sounded like a generic cell phone with reference to the business. When I stopped at the shop to pick up the flowers at 2 PM on the 17th, the sign said closed and the lights were off. The business did not contact me via phone or email. They just decided to go home for the day. These flowers were for a birthday now I will have to go to another florist and contact my bank to reverse the charges. I ordered a day before her birthday and not only did it go off without a hitch...they arrived at 12 noon on her birthday! Lots of people. My two girlfriends and I had gone in on the floral arrangement: $185. -We did not see the flowers. Looked everywhere. Got the funeral owner and support team to look around. They showed us an arrangement in another room (not even part of where the viewing was held) and I specifically said " I am sure this is not it because although beautiful, not $185 worth of flowers - and NO CARD". -Confirmed from their sign in book that our flowers from Bloom Fresh Flowers were the FIRST ONES DELIVERED to the funeral home on 5/3. Flowers were taken to SOMEONE ELSE'S FUNERAL. yes, you read right. -I leave a message for Bloom, explaining what the funeral home had done. I knew they were closed - hoped for the best. -This morning, before they even opened at 9:30 am, i received a call from Bloom. My husband and I booked Bloom Fresh Flowers in Spring 2019 to be our florist for our wedding in October 2019. We met them at a Bridal Expo in the Alexandria, VA area and found the representative to be friendly and we were excited to support a local business. Unfortunately, this did not work out. Seems as though there was a change in management a few months after we booked Bloom Fresh Flowers. We were assured that everything was stable and that our wishes were properly conveyed and we even received an updated proposal confirming all our our wedding floral wishes. However, very few of these wishes came to fruition on our wedding day. Let me explain... The groomsmen boutonnieres were entirely unacceptable. The white roses that were used in each were all individually massive in size. I am at a loss to understand how a professional florist could have passed them off as acceptable. The "solution" that was offered when they arrived on site was to "peel off" some of the petals of the white roses. The florist representative eventually confessed that they should have used a specific type of smaller rose *"spray rose") but "did not have many available." They did, however, use the required smaller roses for another decor piece of ours so my photographer dissected the other decor piece and constructed a new boutonniere for my husband just so that he would not have been photographed with the initial one. I booked this florist 5-6 months prior to my wedding...the appropriate type of rose should have been available in the required quantity. In the end and at the recommendation of my photographer, I had all of the groomsmen and fathers take them off for the formal photos because they were just that bad. Also upon delivery of the flowers to the hotel, my bridesmaids had to specifically ask the for the florist to shorten the stems of the boutonnieres...the stems were SO long that you could have jousted with them. Really made us wonder if they had ever made a boutonniere before? There was also supposed to be a metallic gold wrapping on the groom boutonniere but this came wrapped in a thick copper colored ribbon that one would use to make a bow on top of a holiday gift. After complaining about the poor color choice (and how this was not what was promised in the contract), this was changed to a more metallic gold ribbon but ended up being too thin and slovenly wrapped around the base of the boutonniere. This now brings me to the bridal bouquets. They were to have minimal greenery, be full with tight white roses, and to have a gold twine wrapped around the stems. When they were initially delivered to us, the bridesmaids bouquets bared little resemblance to any photo we had in our contract. They were initially delivered to us with mostly unruly greenery sticking up in between minimal roses with a strange, thick, copper-tan colored ribbon wrapped around the stems. We communicated the issue to the florist who returned upon our request and "pulled out" greenery from the bouquets. These bouquets were struggling to remain bound together and the flowers were drooping. The ribbon around the bride's bouquet was not fashioned to the stems, which result in the "drooping" appearance. We asked for the ribbons to be corrected and at least were able to receive a more gold-like color though the ribbon was still massive in width. We also had arranged with the florist to decorate the gazebo that we were to be married underneath. It was to be adorned with hanging ribbon accented with white flowers and loose greenery that would create a backdrop. What we received were sparse flowers hanging on a very thick visible rope-like structure. The flowers were hanging only on the walls of the gazebo and did not at all creating a "backdrop" as discussed in our multiple planning meets and emails. The flowers were then hung during the rain in the gazebo and never moved to the tent as per our rain plan, nor did anyone consult the onsite wedding planner about where they should be hung due to the ongoing storm. We (BRIDE AND GROOM) were forced to remove these ourselves and drape them over the bannister of the terrace at our venue quickly before our own ceremony. ================ In summary, the services provided by Bloom Fresh Flowers were extremely disappointing and showed their disregard for our plans and the contract we agreed upon. We spent over $2,000 on these flowers only to have some of them redone by our photographer (who did a better job). The poor quality of services and apparent lack of regard was just astounding (and continues to astound me). I shed way too many tears about these wedding flowers on the day of my own wedding. When I sent an e-mail after the wedding expressing our disappointment, I received a stock response stating they were sorry we were not satisfied and again, the admission that "The boutonnieres should have been done using spray rose heads instead of the single, large rose heads." Do not use them as your wedding florist. read more
