I live in Dewitt and recently had a pest control technician from this company knock on my door. I answered the door and they tried to sell me their services and their selling tactics were very pushy and annoying. I told them I already had a pest control company, they asked me who it was and I told them I use M&M pest control and they were quick to say they don't do good work. This is absolutely not true, I've been with this company for YEARS, they are consistent with their work, affordable, and reliable. I've never had a problem, Mike and Mark are so nice and very friendly. I have many friends and neighbors who also use M&M pest control and have no complaints and nothing bad to say. It was very unprofessional to ask what company I currently use and then to start talking down on them, bad way to try and gain new clients. read more

My wife and I moved to kirkville from south Florida because it was no longer affordable to live there. I drained my savings moving here and moved into a home that was infested with fleas. Spent $350 hiring Fox pest control SOLEY because my last name is Fox and did not look them up. After "initial" treatment we still had fleas and they came back a second time- still had fleas and my wife scheduled another treatment figuring "hey, may as well stick with them since we're already out &350 dollars.. My wife notices we still have problems and wanted to schedule another treatment HOWEVER, we owed Fox Pest Control maybe $150- TOPS!!! Wouldn't you know, we now have a debt collector(A.R.M. Solutions inc) seeking a payment in full of $273.60! I am a single income household because my wife homeschools our children for many reasons. My wife literally told them we were going to continue working with them and just couldn't afford to make a payment to have them continue treating the same problem they never resolved within the first 4 tries, yet this company not only lost a client and future monies they would've made with us, but they clearly could care less about morals and doing right by the customer, considering they couldn't do the job right?!?!? Do NOT use these guys I can't stress that enough. I schedule appointment it came to $475 for a single mouse treatment for 1,770 sq ft house but I didn't have time to call around so I just said whatever. Initially it guy said $290 but then upped price $200 next day (if you include tax). Guy told me they'd be there tomorrow 8 AM to 6 PM. Five comes along and not a word, so I called and they said they'd have exterminator call me, he never did. I scheduled appointment via text so I figured they'd have my number and that was why they didn't ask, but instead they just completely made up a phone number not even close to mine to cover for themselves. So I called had them correct the number and told them make sure guy got it. When I called again an hour later they said they were going to have exterminator call me and he just had one more house, that was a lie so I called again an hour later and she said she was going to get ahold of him and have him call me, after nothing for 40 minutes I called again, turns out they were closed for the night. Left a very angry message and plan to hurt their business as much as I possibly can. Meanwhile I have an Airbnb guest who is absolutely fuming and I can't blame her. Worst part, I was such a hurry I paid with Chase card, who is notorious for letting companies scam their cardholders, they'll look for any excuse they can find to cancel the dispute so more than likely I'm out $500 and I'll have to sue them. read more

The salesman that came to my house was very good. He scammed me until a two year contract told me I only had to pay when they came to spray my yard and my house which was a lie. I wanted my yard sprayed for ticks and mosquitoes and he said we do both of those that's a lie they do not do mosquitoes. so if I could, I would not give them any stars. Total scammers. read more

I have been with Fox Pest Control for two years now. My experience with them has been outstanding. I live near a fast-food restaurant and a grocery store. We've had issues in the past with spiders, ants, and disgustingly mice. They have come out 4 times every year to respray for the spiders and the ants. They cover inside and out ( which was huge ) and we haven't had an issue with mice since. Solar eclipse must've sent the ants into a frenzy, we noticed last night. I called right away this morning and within 2 rings I had a person on the phone and they offered me next-day service. The price point versus the comfort of a pest and critter-free home is spot on with this company. Most people spend way more on a lazy night of Grubhub than you do getting these nasty ones out of your house. Thank You Fox!!!!!! read more

I have had to call 2 other pest control companies to remove a hornets nest and gophers/chipmunks digging under my pool. My daughter is home daily because she works after 3. My wife works at high school and gets home at 2;45. they have never seen a Fox worker at my home. They bill me every month and have NEVER returned my phone calls!!!! Run from them. read more

WE got them...BED BUGs, YUCK!! Fox, they were nice and all, but we fought the bed bugs for 6 months!!! Living out of bags and in the living room. I decided to hire someone else. EnviroPest. They informed me that the spray they use was very outdated, and no one used it anymore because of a potential immunity the bug has to it now! I was mad to hear that. They said they Used CrossFire Spray which is the best on the market for killing bed bug. Guess what? After a week, you heard me A WEEK, the bugs were Gone. Do your research, ask what spray they use for the Bed bugs, If it is not CrossFire...MOVE on! Let me spare you from my family's nightmare. This is the biggest scam in New York! They are way overpriced. We were charged monthly for services supposedly bi-monthly. They showed up for less than 15 minutes. The last visit was April. Even though we were charged both in May and June we received no service. Instead of getting rid of the problems they got worse than before. They should be reported to the state consumer protection agency for their excessive cost and lack of customer service. read more

We have had a great experience with Fox. A rep came to our door because they were servicing our next door neighbor's yard. He reviewed everything with my husband and then came back the next day when I was home to go over the specifics. He was incredibly nice and knowledgeable. We set up a day for the tech to come. He came to the door to let me know he was here. Explained what he would be doing and then let me know when he was done. They sent me a contract. If you take the time to listen and ask questions there are no surprises. read more

This appointment was frustrating from the moment I called. The sales guy who initially set up my appointment was nice and good at his job. The rest of the customer service team thereafter was not. I emailed back and forth to get clarification on the cancellation fee that was in the contract I received, but my sales rep failed to mention it. Then at one point, after I asked to have the contract changed to 6 months because I don't foresee us needing the monthly service longer than that, my appointment for the tech to come to my house that day, was canceled. I did not ask to cancel the appointment, I asked to shorten the contract time. I was also told that the tech would show up in the afternoon and that he would call before his arrival. I was told that he had an appointment in the area and that we would be next after that. He showed up unannounced, unmotivated, grumpy, and very unprepared. He was also rather unprofessional. At one point, I could see his entire butt when his pants came down. My 5-year-old and I were pretty perplexed. Knowing that I had requested to have the air ducts checked, he had no tools with him. I had to go digging for a screwdriver so he could do his job. It was pretty obvious that he did not want to be here and I felt like we were inconveniencing him when he asked me if we wanted him to check for critters in the house and I said "yes please". I am pretty sure that was part of the package, together with checking the outside for holes that the mice could come in through. He was wearing a neck gaiter that kept rolling down below his nose and mouth and though he wore booties over his shoes at first, he seemed to have stopped caring about my house and didn't put them on as he went downstairs into the basement, dragging dirt into my living room and family room. He also damaged my brand new and fairly expensive kickboxing mats with his step stool, again, with no care about other people's things. The entire experience was frustrating and instead of alleviating the stress caused by possible mice in my air ducts, dealing with Fox's customer care team was making it worse. I had FOX Pest Control for about 2 years. First initial services was ok, however mainly depended on the technician . Than I had an unprofessional technician, never explained what he was doing, didn't use organic materials ( organic was part of my contract) , had ongoing issues that never resolved. Finally I asked for different technician for upcoming services. They scheduled twice, but never showed up. So this morning I called and cancelled my contract. (MY fault for not keep track) I called to cancel i was harrassed by the woman trying to keep me as a customer. I mean she would not take no for an answer. Buyer Beware! Salesperson came to my door quoting a price of 400, but with a discount of 250, so total of 150 plus tax. Not bad compared to 200-300 normal annual fees. Only what they purposely don't explain to you is that you're signing a contract where you will also be billed monthly, not part of this fee they explain, but in *addition* to the price they show you. So now on top of the 162, I'm charged 70/mo -- which together total over $1000 for 1 year! This is an astronomical price, and 3-4 times what anyone else charges. I would *never* have signed up for this had it been made clear, which it purposely wasn't. And here's the kicker. When you call to try and cancel? They say that cancelling comes with a $250 fee. So they've been to our home twice, and by the time I notice they're billing me so much I've already paid $500+ dollars, and they'll be trying to make me pay to cancel. I will be contacting the BBB and NY State Atty General's office about this practice of making you think you're paying one thing to trick you into paying something else. Do yourself a huge favor and don't work Fox Pest Control at all. What a horrible, horrible thing they do to people. read more

BEWARE of this scam of a company. FOX came to our door with salesman and we signed up for their service in July 2023. It was to be $50 a month which we agreed to. This company is impossible to get in contact with - we had bees that needed to be exterminated and they only came by once, we tried to contact them via phone to come back and again it was nearly impossible to get someone on the phone. They never sent us a monthly bill, not even once. Now in February 2024 I received a bill for $429.23 advising it would go to collections. We have tried to contact them 10 times via phone and the wait time is 40+ minutes to get to someone. They have now sent it to ARM collections but have not provided their service nor gave us any monthly bills or warnings in the entirety of 2023. The customer service and integrity of this company is appalling - I have never experienced such shady business practices from a company in my life. This is a complete money making scam on the part of FOX Pest Control and their business practices I feel need to be looked into by the BBB - I have filed an official complaint on the BBB website. I know that this company has done the same to countless others as they went door to door throughout the city of Utica selling this bogus product. read more

He did not introduce himself or tell me anything about his company but he wanted to know if I was the owner of the house and if I had a problem with bugs. I've literally called 10 times and emailed Michael Stokes countless times and he did not return my calls or e mails within a 6 month time period. Aside from that one of the workers literally told me chemicals are watered down so they aren't as strong in order to save money. This company is a joke and did nothing but cause hassle to myself and my family. This company did nothing to compensate me for having to buy all of my own chemicals to treat the new pests they attracted and we got no more pests after we stopped treatment. Hired for carpenter ant control approximately 1 year ago. In my prior homes if I had ants, the contractor applied and guaranteed their work. Fox has failed to resolve the issue, has pressured me into more services despite me repeatedly advising by email I am dissatisfied and do not wish to continue to do business with them. Employees show up without notice, other times do not show up when scheduled. Emails are ignored entirely. I have not heard from Fox for months and now lo and behold, another email for my "scheduled" service - emailed advising to cease and stay off my property, no response. I believe its time for me to involve the BBB, chamber and/or my attorney. This is a company that tries to lock you in and keep forcing services on you, with no intention of actual resolution of the problem. One of their inside applications left my home smelling so strongly of chemicals during this pandemic that it was unbearable - I called and was told "oh the tech must have used the wrong application or had residuals from a prior job in their tank" - FOX, you need to stop calling and emailing me, stay off my property and do not EVER try to bill me again or I will take legal action against you. I have every email and every voicemail from day one, and I see I have paid you for each service and fulfilled my "contract" obligation. DO NOT TEST ME AGAIN. read more

For years we have been receiving pest control from another company with no problems at all. This year our neighborhood was targeted by Fox Pest control with their salesman that go door to do. After speaking with him about the products they offer and how it is set up quarterly we agreed to sign up with them and not use the company we had used in previous years (BIG MISTAKE). This was based on the fact that they offered coverage against pests the other company didn't and they came to the house 4 times a year, not the 2 we have had previously. Their first mistake was to present their product to us as being billed "quarterly". Their entire time we talked it was "Quarterly this, quarterly that" which in fact was false because when we received our contract we were to be billed 5 times..That makes a big difference in price. The second issue we have it now the huge bees nest in our landscaping, the spider webs that cover the eves of our home/bushes and the mice we have been finding on and around our patio. If you own a larger home with a high roof line be aware that they do NOT go on your roof to treat...that is where the majority of our spider problems are so I guess that is now our problem to clean up because I highly doubt their "extender pole" as they call it will be able to reach all areas. I have no problem paying for the previous service we received as we have but I I called today to see if we could get out of our contact for any more services and I was told I would have to pay $150 to do so... Be aware...They are other companies out there that are far less money that do a better job. read more
