This was a one-night short stay at the midway point between Florida and back to Montreal. I arrived at almost 9pm and went directly to eat before entering the room. Got in around 10pm and went directly to bed. Didn't even bring anything into the room from the car. Me, my husband and my small, well-trained service dog went directly to bed. 3 days later I have $200 of charges on my credit card. Called the front desk and spoke to the same girl who checked me in on Saturday night. She said these extra charges were for damages to a chair that my dog never touched. He's too small to get up on furniture without help. We damaged absolutely nothing. I was told I'd need to speak to the manager to dispute these charges and that he'd call me when he came in in the evening. No call. Tried calling back and left another message and still no call back. This is a run down property with exterior columns broken and falling over with yellow warning tape tied around. The room stank of musk and mold and the bathroom door wouldn't even close without moving the toilet. They think they're going to shake me down for their renovations fund and its not happening. They had all my information and could have called me to discuss this alleged damage before just charging my credit card and not returning my calls. They also overcharged me for the agreed upon rate for the room. I was told I needed to fill out a form for my service dog and I wouldn't be charged a pet fee because he's a service dog. I was charged the pet fee anyway. This is outrageous business practice and I knew I should've gone back to the Ramada we stayed at on the way down, just up the road from this place. They charged the correct rate, didn't allege any damages that didn't happen, and didn't try to take me for a ride.

By-far one of the most beautiful hotels in the area for miles and miles. Carved out of an old…read moregrocery warehouse facility, this hotel has 32 hotel rooms - and retains the spirit of its original, vintage design. It has an on-site bar and restaurant that clearly is a favorite for the locals as well. This is NOT the hotel for you if you're a late eater or a light sleeper. PROS: -So ridiculously cheap compared to what the quality is. If this hotel was located in a metropolis, it would easily be hundreds a night. -I love the decor of the place. This place really feels unique. While the colors definitely get a bit dated (all of the food, exposed wooden beams, etc.) and some of the chairs are two, the additional modern textures they've added (mirrors, chairs, rugs, etc.) help pull it all together. Rooms are a bit dark, but all of this additional detail could make this beautiful for pictures. -Everything has a lot of character. Honestly, that's just a big part of it. This isn't a carbon-copy hotel that you tune out. Every floor has unique chairs on it - a unique design. Rooms are all unique. There are fun common areas tucked away on some floors for you to relax in; it's like exploring a new place and it's fun. -Water pressure is perfect and the hot water is HOT. Holycrap hot. You can easily burn yourself. No lukewarm water here. -Two bathroom sinks. It's so odd - but in a cool way. Instead of side-by-side sinks, the bathroom sinks are opposite one another in a small entrance to the toilet/shower separate room. Great for sharing spaces with someone who keeps things in a different way than you do (messy/clean, etc.) -Beautiful outdoor eating and seating for the restaurant and bar. I'm unsure if it's ever tableside service (we got there late), but we were able to take our drinks to sit outside. There's not much of a view, but it's extremely spacious and comfy. -Complimentary breakfast in the morning was seriously legit. Not just cold muffins and pour-your-own cereal. There was even prepared chicken and waffles! One of the best free breakfasts we've seen. CONS: -Every. Single. Noise. will be heard. Have you ever been in the basement of an older house - and you can hear every step that someone takes on the main floors? That's this hotel. We were woken up with loud creaking when our upstairs patrons got up to pee in the middle of the night. Add this to the fact that this hotel is RIGHT next to a train (we're talking train tracks located right next to the driveway), and this is really, really, really not the place if you're a light sleeper. It'll drive you up the wall. -Both of our bathroom sinks drained super slowly. Just to spit out toothbrushing water, it'd get backed up. -Small hotel room hallways. Jackson Park Inn has an elevator for helping you get up its three floors, but the hotel room hallways themselves are extremely small; one person at a time small. -If you're self-conscious about walking on creaky floors, this is definitely not a good place to be. -Bar AND restaurant closed promptly at 9pm. They were nice enough to get us a beer pour before they closed up for good, but if you're someone who likes late-night food or drinks, this'll be an issue. -Parking lot is mostly taken up by bar and restaurant locals if you arrive between the late afternoon and 9pm. This is aggravating as a hotel patron; we got the last spot in the lot around 8:45PM - and by 10pm, there were tons of spots.

They have a little convenience shop to the left of the desk filled with snacks and, luckily, floaties for the pool. The front desk ladies were polite and friendly! We stayed here twice, in the same room actually. It had 2 queen beds, a pull out couch, mini fridge, desk area, and a decently sized bathroom. Our party consisted of 2 adults and 2 children and we had more than enough room. The bathroom was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, all in refillable pump bottles. The sink also had hand wash and body lotion. The pool area was kept clean and the staff said we could eat in there at the tables if we wanted. It wasn't a huge area, but there were at least 2 tables and several options for seating. The pool only went to 5 feet and had decent stairs for my toddler in the shallow end. There was also a small gym, complete with some dumbbells, an adjustable bench, treadmill, elliptical, and star stepper, plus a yoga mat and exercise ball. There was a small cabinet which held towels, wipes, and a water dispenser/cups. The only bummer was I saw the same dead moth under the elliptical both stays (2 weeks apart), so I know the gym hadn't been cleaned. Breakfast was decent-- it was the same both both times we had it. They have 3 cereal options, some yogurt and oatmeal, fresh fruit (apples, oranges, and bananas), two types of eggs, sausage, bacon, toast (even a GF bread), bagels, muffins, cinnamon rolls, and a pancake maker. There was also coffee and tea. Everything was served until 9:30. There is always water with fresh fruit out. We ate at two nearby restaurants-- Fat Boy's Pizza and Cinco de Mayo Mexican and both were great! There is also a restaurant list inside the lobby. I felt safe staying here and had no issues in the parking lot. There were only a few other guests during both of our stays. This was a good spot to stay during our travels and I will definitely consider coming back!

We were impressed with all the complimentary snack offerings upon arrival. The beds were standard, comfy, and clean. We had a nice little mountain view and it was a cute area. The tub in the shower didn't have a drain plug and looked like it needed to be painted badly, and the water pressure was very weak, that was the only downside, but not a huge deal for an overnight. We'd definitely stay here again when in Princeton.

This trip was no different--after a seven-hour road trip, the four of us (plus my service dog) rolled in, dreaming of a quick swim and some relaxation. Spoiler alert: that dream died fast. We used the Hilton app to check in, but I went down to the desk for a second key so my husband and I could both access the room and amenities. I gave my room number, and--without asking for my name, ID, or even confirming I belonged there--the employee just handed me a key and said, "Have a good night." I'm sorry, WHAT? That's not customer service, that's a security disaster waiting to happen. We stayed in room 504, where we were greeted by a musty, dirty odor strong enough to knock you backward. The room looked like it hadn't seen a dust cloth in years. The bathtub? Absolutely disgusting. Several light bulbs were out. The beds were lumpy and uncomfortable, the whole place felt like a tropical rainforest with the humidity, and the Wi-Fi (which I need for my work as a REALTOR®) didn't connect at all. To top it off, the shower had no hot water, and by morning, I'd developed a sore throat. The pool was supposed to be our redemption moment. Instead, an interior light fixture came loose while my kids were in the water. We immediately got them out and told the staff. Two hours later, the pool was still open and people were still swimming like nothing happened. Because apparently, here, safety hazards double as "added ambiance." Then there's the "pet relief" area--a 5x5 patch of grass that looked like a landmine field of other dogs' poop, with shards of glass scattered throughout. The bag dispensers were empty, not that I didn't bring my own. My poor service dog deserves better than that. And just when I thought I'd seen it all, I spotted exposed wires on the 5th floor, seemingly connected to a security camera. Nothing says "welcome" quite like loose electrical wiring. The one and only pleasant surprise? Breakfast. It was actually good--shockingly good, given everything else. Unfortunately, one decent meal doesn't erase the fact that this stay was dirty, unsafe, uncomfortable, and far below the standard Hilton promises, especially for Diamond members.

You can rent a cabin or a room in the small inn, most of which have a whirlpool tub. We actually lucked out and got the last available room in the inn. The kitchenette is a great addition and we did make use of it! The bed was comfortable and the flat screen TV was very adequate for it's size. The heater is a bit noisy when it turns on, but that would be the only thing I found even remotely unpleasant. What I love about this wonderful place is all the personal touches in the rooms. I felt so much at home with all the decorations, and loved the whimsy of those outside and on the porch. I love that each room has an old screen door, and yes, it will slam if you forget to hold onto it when you walk in and out of the room!! We couldn't be more pleased with our stay here! Only complaints: The cabins are tightly packed and access to the beds are is a little limited.
