We checked out the pool in the morning and had it to ourselves. It is a small pool and there was only 1 clean towel. Breakfast was ok. I've had better ones at other Fairfield Inns. Excellent service, new location with all the updates that make for the perfect stay. We stayed here last year and thoroughly enjoyed our stay that we decided to come back again. We enjoy our stay here so much! The staff is super friendly and very accommodating. When we arrived we realized that we forgot the milk bag at home and asked if we could have some milk. The staff was very willing to give us some cartons of milk for our little one. The rooms have always been clean and comfortable to stay in. We love staying at Marriott brand locations and really love the updated/new Fairfield locations. The breakfast in the morning is always fresh and tasty. The coffee is available 24 hours a day and is always fresh and great tasting. We are always so thankful for all that the staff does to "Wow" us during our stay. I wanted to give it 5 stars and then after breakfast wanted to give it a 3 so I settled on 4 stars. I was upgraded to a King Executive Suite and the room was very nice, spacious and clean. The check in process was a little slow but not the fault of the night auditor, she was friendly and apologetic. I stay with Marriott at least every other week and will say this is one of my better experiences as far as room appearance and cleanliness goes. When we went down for breakfast there was still an hour left but the fruit hadn't been replenished and still hadn't been when we were done. They only had one type of bread and usually there are 3-4 options but when I asked the lady wasn't very friendly. The sausage and Canadian bacon were dried up. read more

This is a new hotel, or newer hotel. The staff have been friendly, although sparse to find. No one ever seems to be at the front desk. There is a Walmart and some restaurants across the street, which is convenient. I found the bed to be very comfortable, but the walls are paper thin. You'll hear your neighbors and your upstairs neighbors like they are in the room with you. I am not sure what the deal is with their housekeeping either. Maybe they don't have enough staff? Like every Marriott property, there were some issues with the plumbing. My toilet didn't flush properly. The refrigerator froze all of my food, so I had to throw that all away. There was no cool or cold water in the shower, only scalding hot. I had to wash my hair in the sink. There are only a couple hotels in this area, but there is a country country Inn and suites directly next to the Fairfield Inn that I would probably try. read more

Stopped for a night on our way down south. Indoor pool was open until 11pm and was a hit with my 3 boys who were very much needing to stretch and move after the long drive. The outdoor gas fire pit also looked very nice and we would have loved to enjoy it if we had the time. Staff was extremely friendly, engaging with and complimenting my boys, and also very accommodating - including providing us with extra blankets for the sofa bed and extra bath towels. Our suite was nice and roomy but did have a few stains (ceiling & sofa) and the general overall level of cleanliness in our room could have been a little better. This place has a 4.7 review? How?? Dirty shower (hair on the floor) when we told them at the desk they offered a 10 dollar discount! Insulted and still have a dirty shower floor. Nice clean hotel with a clean, fully stocked breakfast selection. Our room was spacious, nicely decorated, plenty of electrical outlets to recharge devices, clean comfortable beds and pillows. Staff was pleasant although they didn't really go out of their way to be hospitable, they got the job done just fine. read more

I made two reservations for my family and I to stay at the Fairfield Inn Princeton, West Virginia on 05/06/22 for a ceremony taking place in nearby Bluefield Virginia. Upon arrival one room was booked without incident. It was apparent that there was a question of whether there were rooms available to fulfill the second reservation. The hotel staff found a room and I thought that everything was situated. I proceeded to unload my vehicle. When walking back into the hotel someone that had remained in the lobby suggested that I check with the staff to make sure no one was in the room that I had been assigned. Apparently the conversation that had taken place between the staff when I walked away indicated that someone was already in the room that I had been given. I asked the staff about this and was told that I was good to go. Both elevators were broken so I had to carry my luggage to the fourth floor. Upon trying to enter the room that I had been assigned it became apparent that someone was in the room that I had been given. I returned to the check in counter to advise them of this. They stated that there were no rooms available for the reservation that I had made prior to my trip and suggested booking me at another hotel somewhere within the city. I told them that this would not work being that my family is booked in various rooms throughout this hotel. This left me no choice but to squeeze four family members into a king sized bed. I received a statement showing a zero balance and an assurance that I would not be charged for the unfulfilled reservation. If the experience at this point was not bad enough. I checked my account to make sure that no funds were removed and to my surprise there was a pending charge of $240. I returned to the front desk to question them regarding this. The staff member told me that it was a hold that would be released in 7 to 10 business days. A hold on funds in my account for a reservation that your company did not fulfill is unethical and more than likely illegal. read more

Due to a family funeral we traveled South. I must say the hotel is very nice, clean and most importantly to me.. 24 hour coffee station. The rooms we were assigned were very nice. One room was upgraded due to Marriott Membership. The other room equally nice and perfect for my elderly in-laws. I highly recommend room 211. It over looks the patio and some woods. The front desk staff were super friendly. Especially Savannah. What a doll. Kind and professional. Huge asset to the Marriott Corp. Free breakfast was nice. Oatmeal with the trimmings and fresh fruit was perfect. The breakfast staff very hardworking and friendly. Lot's of restaurants and shopping near by. One little problem. Our fridge wasn't working, reported to staff. Stored food brought from home. Great Brie, salami, yogurt, milk and fruit. All had to be thrown away. Pitching that Brie broke my heart. The fridge was actually hot when we got back. Bummer.. Thank you for making a sad situation a little better. read more

This place is phenomenal. The rooms are clean and welcoming. My only small complaint would be that the pool was colder than expected for an indoor pool. I feel like I underpaid for the level of service and accomidations that I received. I would recommend this hotel to anybody passing through Princeton looking for a nice and offer assistance if anything else was needed for their stay. Michael is truly an expert in hospitality. If he doesn't already have a role in management then he should. His passion for his job shows as you enter the building. If I didn't live out of state, I would have attempted to recruit him to be on my management team. Thank you Michael for making a great stay even better. Nice on the outside, not so much on the inside. I do a lot of business travel and always stay with Marriott when I can. I redeemed some of my points for this stay. It was pretty disappointing. Pillows were way too thick. I got the front desk to bring me up new ones, which was nice. But the air was either hot or cold. Changed temp literally one degree and either the heat was on (burning up) or the AC was on (freezing). The shower was poorly designed. The door opens into the shower. Have to literally get in the shower and reach behind the door to turn on shower. Don't know what moron came up with that design. And then the floor was literally flooded after getting out of the shower. Had to use multiple towels to soak up all the excess water. Also, the TV remote control was a pain. Had to press the hell out of it to change the channels. I just expected more from a Marriott property. read more

Excellent place to stay- rooms are tastefully decorated and beds are VERY comfortable. And quiet- we slept very well. Checkin and checkout people were very helpful and courteous. The guy who checked us out at 4:30am even went back in the kitchen to bring out fresh coffee for our drive. read more

This is a clean, newer hotel with free breakfast. Rooms are perfectly adequate but nothing special. The hotel loses points for the shower which had poor water pressure and the water didn't really get hot even on the hottest setting. Also the pool is ridiculous small so we didn't even bother. Also no acknowledgement when I checked in that I was a Bonvoy Gold member and no offer to upgrade my room. Check in overall was not great. Not friendly at all. Lastly the view of the parking lot was bleak. The hotel location just felt sketchy. Just wasn't a great experience overall. read more

All parts of the hotel were immaculate - pool, exercise room, patio, breakfast area, guest room and bathroom. This location opened March 2016 but you'd think it was only days old. Excellent breakfast buffet with so many selections - sausage, eggs, waffle station, oatmeal, baked goods. We will definitely return to this location. read more

I had been to multiple hotels a few miles up the road that were all booked. My husband called this hotel ahead to check to see if they had any rooms and to my avail they did. I headed straight there. I'm usually picky about my hotels and do a thorough check but I was so tired that I was just praying that it would be okay. It was beyond okay. I had been scared hopping in and out of my car and running into random hotels trying to find a room, so to say that I was thrilled when I pulled up to a beautifully lit and very clean landscape is an understatement. I felt very safe to get out and enter. Marissa greeted me quickly with a smile and helped me check in. She was informative and so very sweet. I found a parking spot very close to the door and went upstairs. When entering the room, it smelled like a new car would. It was impeccably clean and huge! The bed was fantastic!!!! I travel this way often and I will definitely make this my stop from now on!!! read more

This was a wonderful place to stay! They had Netflix available on the tv in our room (as long as you knew your account log in info) and the room was clean and the beds and chairs were comfortable in our double queen bed room. The mattresses were moderately comfy, and there were ample pillows that really made the room experience. The breakfast was lovely,. There were many food choices. They had scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs and pre made omelettes and two types of sausage, cheese and salsa available for those eggs and a dairy free milk alternative. They even had ample fresh fruit and agave never available for making your oatmeal fancy. The wifi worked without any problems and the pool had a wonderful access lift for individuals who utilize a wheelchair or need extra help getting into the pool. The pool was round and smaller than expected, but the lift made up for that to me. I love it when things are accessible for everyone. read more

Great newer hotel but Marriott needs to be up some signs helping you get to it. I'm glad I arrived when it was light out and not dark or raining or I would never have found it. There are NO signs telling you where to turn off main road (with no street light either) and then you have to turn up a driveway like road they share with another hotel chain. read more

We stopped here on the way to Myrtle Beach. They only had one room left and my mom asked if she could use her AARP discount. The woman at the front desk said they usually done if it's the last room but accepted the discount anyway. The decor is modern, up to date and very clean. The rooms are fantastic. VERY accommodating and the extra blankets and pillow were all in a separate bag to keep fresh. The free breakfast bar was HUGE and the staff kept it stocked, both hot and cold items. We will definitely be coming here again the next time we are heading south!! Great stay!! read more

The hotel is nice and clean but they let people stay in the pool and workout area until 11:00 pm and it was very loud. I would not recommend staying on the 1st floor or you may have trouble getting to sleep before 11. read more
