Rita and Corey were amazing hosts! I really loved their hospitality and how warm they made my boyfriend and I feel. I felt bad for staying for only one day but highly recommend them to everyone. We stayed in the most adorable room and had a great breakfast. I will always remember how good they treated us and I wish to come back to visit again sometime.

After a February snowfall

What a gem of a place! We came to ski at Killington and Pico, but we can't wait to return in other seasons. The warmth and hospitality are unmatched. The rooms are cozy and the entire inn is very charming. They served us breakfast & dinner (and even gave us delicious bagged lunches to bring to the slopes). It's a really fantastic place & a new favorite!

Common rrom

Cory and Rita are here to make sure you enjoy your time. Country Chic and charm galore. Every room has a private bathroom with a jacuzzi tub not to mention a fireplace. Do you want breakfast, dinner they got it. How about a lunch to go or trial mix to explore yes they got it.

The Inn itself.

And at night there is so little light pollution you can see all the stars. Very pretty! The room we stayed in (Forest Glen) is cozy and pretty basic, but it did its job well. The bed was comfortable, and the fan and air conditioning were easy to control so we could sleep comfortably. The shower works very well with good pressure and heat. There is a small TV if you feel like watching anything, but definitely enjoy the area instead! The Vermont Inn has a bar inside that closes at 9pm. We didn't try it, but it looked so nice and cozy. If you purchase directly through the website, then breakfast is included each morning. Every day they offer pancakes, french toast, or eggs and bacon, and then there is a daily special omelette. We tried omelettes, french toast, and pancakes, and all were quite good. And the coffee is surprisingly tasty. It appears to be a family operation with the kids taking orders. They are cute and do a great job! Definitely a great place to stay if you're in the Killington area!

There are many cozy public rooms to sit, play board games, read or just talk. The hosts Mike and Kayla were very friendly and accomodating. The location is perfect as it is minutes away from Killington and Pico mountains. The views from the lawn of the mountains are stunning. Rooms were excellent and there was plenty of space. There is a Sauna and pool outside during the summer months. We met a couple that were staying there and planning their wedding with the hosts and it sounded like it was going to be fantastic. They also host bridal showers and other events. The breakfasts were fantastic and our waiters Emerson and Jameson provided excellent service. Thanks to Mike, Kayla and family for great memories. I would highly recommend The Vermont Inn and we will definitely be back.

The suite we stayed in had a gas fire place and a balcony overlooking the wooded grounds. The decor was charming and comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. The main inn had 3 or 4 areas to relax and play games. I cant say enough about the Red Clover Inn. I'm sure it would be a great place to stay during ski season especially if you wanted to get away from the big resorts and wanted a more relaxing place to enjoy your evening.

The property is beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff was very accommodating. If you want a personalized experience, from someone who truly cares about giving you the wedding of your dreams, this is hands down the best option in Vermont. My sister had her wedding here and I was so blessed to be a part of the wedding party and get to stay at the property for 5 days with my family! I have been dreaming about going back since! I can't wait to book a girls getaway here as well. This venue is not just for weddings, it's a wonderful location for retreats, personal time away and so much more. Not to mention it's minutes away from Killington, hands down one of the best places in VT to ski!

As long as you understand that this isn't a luxury resort, I'm SURE you'll be more than happy staying over at the Killington-Pico Motor Inn. Ski trips (particularly the lift tickets) are expensive, and when coming here with friends ever since college, all we ever really need are just a few comfy beds for the end of our wild Killington nights. Add to that the complimentary hot/cold breakfast, year-round hot tub, and the awesome family that runs this hotel, and you've got the perfect "best kept secret" that Lynda M. describes. Rooms are kept clean, owners know me by name even though I'm far from a "frequent flyer" here, and the other guests are always fun to chat with in the cozy hotel lobby / living room area. A couple notes on mass transit for those that plan to rely on "The Bus" (the Killington region bus system). Morning buses en route to Killington pick up outside this hotel's entrance at 30 minutes past the hour (as of this writing) on the "Diamond Express" (Rutland-Killington) line. Check here for schedules: http://www.thebus.com/routes/rkc.htm. Evening buses are pretty much the same deal - just make sure you get on the Diamond Express, as the other bus just goes back and forth on the access road.

While it was a bit expensive for what you get (a little over $120ish), I really liked the cleanliness of the room. The bed sheets were cleaned. No questionable, weird looking stains anywhere to be found. The water was extremely hot, the heater worked very well (took a while to heat up the room) and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. I also liked how the room was set up. There was a lot of room and coat racks/hooks for all of your snow gear. The owner was also extremely friendly and was always very polite and smiling.

The ONLY thing I can say positive is the sheets seemed clean but the musty smoky smell killed that only comfort. The bed spreads are these gross velvety thin sheets that look like from the 70s. Place was dirty. Visible stuff everywhere. Shower was disgusting with stuff that wasnt cleaned off walls. There was a door leading to the outside that was completely unlocked when we arrived so I checked under the beds. Its not worth saving $50 to stay here.

The room we stayed in on the first floor was GROSS. It had the same odor as the lobby but was also FILTHY. I wouldn't walk on the carpet without shoes on. The sheets, comforters and towels also smelled like mold and smoke. The bathroom floor looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months. The shower had mold and mildew in it. We didn't even have a fresh toilet paper on the holder. It was clearly the same one from the previous guest--DISGUSTING. This place also houses homeless people and other very seedy characters. The walls are also paper thin. I could clearly hear our neighbors' conversations crystal clear. The neighboring guests were incredibly loud and obnoxious the whole night and even first thing in the morning. I'm pretty sure if it wasn't for the Killington Ski Resort being so close, this place would have went out of business a long time ago.

On the phone told me the deposit was 300 not 350. I enter the room and it smells like mildew. I change to a different room. All the rooms I were shown smell like mildew and look like 1983. Even the soap for the bathroom looks like it came from 1983 with cheap toilet tissue. Rusty shower head I asked to be changed, diffuser asked for did not help with the smell, hairs on floor and in the bed, dirty fridge, stain on chair, dusty chairs, outdated washer dryer, dryer takes 4 dollars to dry clothes not 2. ED came in my room twice after I told him not to enter my room when not there. He will cross your boundaries and does not accept criticism well. The hospitality is fake. He came in to close the windows shut so I would not open again. I needed to air out the room from the mildew smell because I was feeling sick. He broke the blinds when he shut the windows and blamed on. Blinds don't cost 127 dollars. He only returned 223 of my deposit so now I have to dispute and report his business. He talk nice and his wife too who also came unannounced but actions are louder. They only care for the money. Also, I am African American and what I hate the most about America are all the scamming white people in this country and in Vermont. When I first came to Vermont a scammer on airbnb would not give me my money back and I had to contact the attorney General to get my money back. I won't do business in Vermont anymore. They desperate for workers but more people are leaving Vermont. Vermont is not as progressive as it appears. Many racists and old immature people with disgusting character flaws. Most people in Vermont are old. If you are young Vernont not the place. This mountain son advertised as a hotel but is a motel just as old as the owners. Vermpnt stuck in time. If you stay at places like the Hyatt House with modern amenities your standards are too high for Vermont. The hotels in Vermont all are dirty and Vermont businesses operate out of survival not true creation. They don't even like using technology. Elders don't bring wisdom anymore. Being old just shows duration of time. If your business back in time the people who own it are not evolving. They rather wear old boat shoes from 1980 something. Also note a bunch of homeless people stay at the mountain son Inn. Not a place for travelers seeking anything of quality.
