The move in process was a breeze, working with Courtney from the front office was amazing - made sure we had everything we needed to move in smoothly. After moving in, things were still great - there is laundry on every floor, common spaces are always clean and welcoming, and packages are kept safely in the mail room (you get an email when packages arrive). The gym and office room have the basic necessities. If there there is a maintenance issue, the management team is quick to resolve it and notify you when the work order is complete. The finishes inside the apartment are all new, and the heating/cooling system works great. The one downside is that there is construction happening right outside my window in the mornings/afternoons. It also means I lost my view since the neighboring building now is taller than my floor :( Overall, I am quite happy with the apartment and recommend it!

This is the unit that needed a $446 clean, and needed a full repaint costing $1,497.99 according to SVN. One of the bedrooms wasn't even used for anything other than storing boxes, so I don't see how it's possible I did enough damage to the walls to require a full repaint. I have attempted to contact SVN several times to discuss these charges and have not received a response. This also happened several times during my lease when I had questions about charges on my account. Beyond the charges, my entire move-out process was very unpleasant. I was repeatedly asked well before the time frame required by my lease for notice whether I would be moving out. Once SVN started showing my apartment, there was a time that I received a text that asked "are you home right now?" and my door was being unlocked less than two minutes later without even knocking. I was repeatedly asked if I would be vacating the apartment early, and SVN had their maintenance crews using my front porch to store materials for a railing they wanted to build when I left before my lease ended. I have rented entirely with property management companies for the last six years. I have never had even close to half of my deposit withheld for routine paint touch up etc. I have also never had a harder time getting in contact with a property management company, both before I moved out and after. There are plenty of other property management companies in Pittsburgh, I recommend avoiding SVN.

As for me, I missed my daughter's graduation ceremony as the police hauled me away when I showed them the house. Without an actionable step to prove I was "a danger" to my ex husband, the 302 was not even legal. But then again, who cares about that in North Fayette when child predator Anthony Saveikis's local magistrate sign still hangs (county ordinance violation), so no one can quite tell just who the local judge was who signed that last order.

I lived in a Rockwel Realty property for 1.5 years in the Pittsburgh area. My overall experience…read moreunfortunately was not great due to the poor experience I had with having to sublet my share of the lease. The process to sublet starts with paying 1/3rd of total rent in order for them to begin the paperwork. Then the paperwork for the subleaser is complex, time-consuming, and requires things such as 3 years of tax documents, credit check, background check, and proof of income. In addition, if one person on the lease sublets then none of the other people on the lease are able to sublet during the remainder of the lease period. I was informed over the phone that there was no security deposit due for the subleaser. I asked this multiple times because I wanted to make sure I had this very important detail correct. When I finally found a subleaser who completed the paperwork and was approved, at the very end they requested a security deposit to be paid that day. I felt awful for my subleaser since I told him that there was no security deposit due. This was incredibly unprofessional on their end and caused complications on my end. In addition, the phone customer service representative of Rockwel Realty was unprofessional, rude, and impatient. It's a shame really because I thought the property itself was decent for the price. I would never recommend renting a property through Rockwel Realty, especially if you plan on subletting at some point in time. Not a good company.
