I was tired after a long day on a recent trip to British Columbia. Instead of driving somewhere for dinner, I decided to try the place next door to the hotel, Fox & Fiddle. I couldn't order online but could view the menu on their website. I called, ordered, and in 20 minutes, I was able to pick it up for "Carry Out." The menu is more than your typical pub food and includes an excellent selection of salads and flatbreads. I opted for the Fish and Chips. The meal was packaged well, hot, and overall very tasty. The fish was good quality with a mild batter fried crisp. The fries (chips) were excellent, with lots of potato heft. The cole slaw was almost added like an afterthought. The restaurant was busy when I arrived, but I could pick up my food when they said it would be ready. Overall, the prices are higher than in other similar places, but the food is enjoyable. And I am open to trying it out again when I am in town.

I'm so happy that this pub is open for business at this time. When you drive past this place the name "Fox and Fiddle" stands out on the board! I have to admit I love the name that's chosen. As far as the food, man is it good. You must start off with the Irish nachos, chicken bites, spinach dip, and the potato boats. The Irish nachos were so crunchy and didn't make me miss the chips, the chicken bites were flavoured honey garlic and made my taste buds want more, and the dip comes with both naan and chips and I love that option.

And for that reason I'm IN!!!!

Whilst dining at this fancy restaurant I met the most dashing waitress whom to this day I haven't been able to understand. No it's not her accent and no it's not her manner of speak, it's just I can't understand how sensational she was. I wish I had the courage to ask if she had diabetes. Now I know what you're saying "where's the deats on the food?" So hubby and I are in a hotel attached to this place. First impression not great $5.00 cover charge to get in as there was a fight on. Hubby did complain about that and they let us in for free. They were selective about who they charged . That was disappointing! THE GOOD The server was very good, although the bar was busy she was awesome . The food was nice, hot and fast! We had a great evening In there with lots of alcohol flowing the bill came to $165 inc tip. We had shots, beers and cocktails so to be expected.

Great eatery and a must stop for a drink and food. Very homey feel to it with great specials as well. Highly recommended for the business traveler or leisurely guest wanting a nice spot to relax and unwind!

I was staying at the hotel attached to the restaurant. Excellent evening bartender. If you want to chat, all good. If not, the same.

We arrived before 7, put our name in and saw we were not far down the list. We were told the wait would be at least 1/2 hour. Then we saw a group of 11 was waiting before us. They do not have tables for more than 4, so tables need to be put together and cleared that become available next to each other. After an hour we thought surely it would be our turn. We saw 2 tables that were empty next to each other that could be perfect for our group of 6. We then watched as no one cleaned it for over 20 minutes. We asked the 'bouncer' about it, and he said 'I can't tell them how to do their job'. (I guess he's not allowed to help clean tables either?!) There needs to be someone just cleaning tables and bringing water etc to make this place run smoothly. Finally we sat down after waiting over 1.5 hours. Our waitress seemed surprised we wanted to order food right away! Then another hour until the food came as there was a private party and the party of 11 ahead of us jamming up the kitchen. Eating so late is not our usual routine so I was not the happiest but as least we had lots of time to catch up with our friends! Not sure I will return on a Friday, but earlier in the week with 2-4 people is good. Food is Always great though and the prices are good too even for drinks. They have about 5 non alcoholic beer options too.

My hot wings was drenched in delicious Buffalo sauce mixture. My partners wings on the other hand did not appeal to me. The dry rubs for Cajun and Tex Mex was not consistently coated. The sauce for the Caribbean wings was cold. All in all the wings could have been presented better. I know it's a bar, but I have been to other bars for cheap wing night and presentation was still on point. My Caesar salad was well dressed, but somehow it was flavourless like it was missing something... anchovies? The Caesar drink tasted a little bit off however once I squeezed my lime, it was good to drink. Some may consider this a divey bar. I didn't hate nor did I didn't like it here. I could tell some of the customers are regulars. I did not notice inflation prices on the menu. Great service! My partner thought our server did an excellent job.

TIKI DAVE from TIKI DAVE'S TERRIFIC TRIPS absolutely loves this place!…read more After searching for the best Tiki Bar in Vancouver (what???), I absolutely had to leave the family at the airport hotel to check this place out. As Son of TIKI DAVE would say, I didn't need to go, but I wanted to go. Yes, yes, Alec, I wanted to go. And the reviews lived up to the hype. What a wonderful spot halfway between the airport and downtown. I left it up to the bartenders to choose my drinks... Against my better judgment, I went with the bartender's recommendation to try the Painkiller because they touted it better than the Soggy Dollar Bar in the BVI. Well, I've been to the BVI but never the Soggy Dollar Bar...yeah, I know. But this drink, that I would normally think too sweet for my taste, was amazing. Now, I have to go to the freakin' Soggy Dollar Bar to compare but I'd bet this one was better. For my second, I again, left it up to the knowledgeable bartender to guide me the way. And he served me up with this perfectly amazing and glowy amazingness that is the Rememberer? Which is off menu. It was amazing. And did I mention it glowed? Ambience and service is amazing. I showed up on a Saturday night at 10 and I was worried after reading about it that I'd have trouble getting in but it wasn't a problem at all. The cocktails are generally on the sweeter side, but they're also surprisingly strong. We ordered the Zombie (3 oz), and there's a reason it's limited to two per guest. It tasted sweet and tropical, but it definitely sneaks up on you and can get you tipsy pretty quickly. The drink prices are quite reasonable, especially compared to the food. While the food is decent, I'd say the cocktails are the real highlight here. The atmosphere is fun, lively, and full of tropical vibes, come for the drinks and the atmosphere rather than the food.
