This use to be the best bank. I have a home loan, auto loan, and all regular accounts there. Ever since they switched to "FourLeaf" which they claimed was strictly just a name change, it's all gone down hill. I use to pay my mortgage directly with a transfer. Now it's a complicated process that takes days to withdraw. I am very disappointed in the company transition. On a positive note, the new ATM with different bill options is nice. read more

Ever since they changed the name from Bethpage to FourLeaf you cannot pay extra on your loan unless it's timed perfectly within a short window after your payment clears I like to sometimes pay my loan ahead and I almost always pay extra on the principal balance they have made it very inconvenient and difficult to do that now I cannot recommend this credit union it is absolutely horrible to deal with they clearly do not care about their customers and they do put protecting their interest above their customers and at their customers expense, I am not complaining about the good people working in the Patchogue branch I am complaining about the Greedy Decisions corporate has been making, FourLeaf is an Absolutely Terrible Credit Union use any other credit union. read more

Been with Bethpage FCU for over a decade - personal accounts, business accounts, mortgage, equity line, credit cards. It was a wonderful bank/credit union. Never had a negative experience. I referred Bethpage to everyone including my clients. I couldn't praise them enough. Everything worked great with the mobile banking which is crucial Now, Fourleaf is a completely different, animal. I opened a corporate bank account the very beginning of January 2026. It took the branch 5 days to process the paperwork. A Week later I began my banking. I immediately could not process mobile deposits, they won't allow you to link accounts to transfer from bus to/from personal. Ironically, Zelle (the same outcome) is the only option but that won't work either - So I go to the branch, get it set up & looks good, go to office to make transfer --app says contact 800 number. Now 3-5 days to verify identity? Oh no, the dreaded form request had to be sent to the "digital team". Hit or miss results . I just can't keep calling the 800# or going to the branch for every simple transaction to get these services turned on. NEVER was an issue with Bethpage. It's been a few weeks now, after at least 10 calls to the 800 number and hours of my time I just got access today to do a mobile deposit. Still can't move anything - Zelle, transfer or anything. I've gone back to the branch 3 times to fix theses issues and still nothing is fixed. I am forced to get in my car (in the evenings, I work until 8pm), go to the Patchogue branch and do everything with the ATM machine. Meanwhile, unsavory loiterers hangout in front of 7 Eleven next door following you around begging for money. I can't move/deposit funds online. It's a big issue/safety issue. The cherry on the cake - BFCU gave you a nice, binder ledger with plenty of checks. FourLeaf - ZIP, nothing, not even 5 or 10 starter blank drafts. So I can't even write a check from the business and mobile/atm deposit a check to access. I really do not want to withdraw a lot of cash to redeposit cash into another account - atm is the only way right now and the environment is not safe. I'm taking my business elsewhere. I closed on a HELOC with Bethpage in beginning of 2025. They were then acquired by FourLeaf and changed their HELOC processing systems. Before the change, I was able to transfer my money instantly from my HELOC account into my Savings account and wire money the same day. It was seamless. Since the change, my ONLY option to access HELOC funds is by writing a paper CHECK! Mobile limits for deposits are limited to $25,000 a day. So to access $75,000 for a down payment to close on a house - I had to write 3 checks and deposit them across 3 days. THEN, it takes up to 10 days for the checks to clear. THEN if you want to wire the money, you have to wait 7 more business days since the last check as cleared to actually send this money. According to federal law, money deposited by check has to sit in the account for 7 business days until you can send a wire. This HELOC is now virtually useless to me because I cannot wait for funds for investing and real estate purposes for 3 weeks. My HELOC contract states closing fees are covered by FourLeaf if I keep my account open with a balance of $25K for over a year, which means that I cannot close this account and open a HELOC with another bank without a financial penalty. read more

The worst experience the last 5 years and a bigger mess since they changed into the silly Four Leaf name. I just received a letter from an insurance processing company that stated my homeowners insurance is past due since July 1, 2025! (My mortgage is through Burnt Leaf or whatever it is now) I called up the processing agency and said the credit union did not properly handle 100s (maybe or more) of these. Now it takes them 6 months to even send this out? I suggest finding a better credit union. I've had them for 25 years and it continues to get worse. I am only leaving a little bit of money since my mortgage is there...and I've put 95% of my money in a place where it can grow and knows how to work with customers. If you open a savings account their rate is .10%! Might as well lave money under your bed. Go find a bank such as EverBank...they'll give you 40 times more! I'm sure below this page will say how sorry we are and that we will take care of everything. No such luck. I've moved almost all of my money. Good bye Five Leaf! read more

Been with this credit union over 20 years. Branch employees are wonderful and always willing to assist. Since they have transformed into Four Leaf however - its been a total nightmare. I do not have access to my money under HELOC as it is by check only - which they did not send AND takes 2-3 business days to clear? what? That defeats the entire purpose of having this line of credit and ability to make payments to contractors etc when you are having work done on your home. Now onto the issues with mortgage payments- paying from your Four Leaf checking account is not immediate and also takes 2-3 business days to clear. This once again gives me no reason to even bank with this company any longer. I am anxiously awaiting the sale of my home in next few years and be rid of Four Leaf for good. My suggestion - find another credit union as this one is no longer about their members. read more

I have a key lock with a large balance that I would like to pay down. They only allow a $20,000 payment week. Have a balance of $440,000 and it will take months while they grub interest from us! I got a HELOC from Bethpage, but since the transition to Fourleaf I have not been able to draw on my line of credit. The ONLY way to draw funds is to use a printed check, but I did not receive any printed checks. With Bethpage I could make a wire transfer, external bank transfer, or go into a shared branch. Fourleaf is not printing anywhere in their letters or on their website that the ONLY way to draw funds is with these checks. They are marketing their takeover as enhancement, but what they have added is just a few more ways to make loan payments. No transparency. After long calls to their service center, I learned that from now on this is the only way to use the LOC. It is not during the transition period only. From now on this is how it will be. Why would they take this step backward? They are making it so hard for customers. I need to pay my contractor. I spent 2 hours on the phone with Fourleaf loan processing on Jul 14. They first insisted I just needed to wait until Jul 31 for checks to arrive, 2 weeks or half a month! After so much pushing, they agreed to rush me checks. But I think they lied to me to get me off of the phone. When I called back last week I they said they had rushed the printing of the checks, but there is no overnight delivery. Today it is 12 days later and I am still waiting for the checks. Then after that I will need to write one of those checks to my contractor, or to myself, and wait for it to clear the bank. I took cash advances on two of my credit cards to pay my contractor. I am hoping I will be able to draw on my line of credit in time to pay the credit cards and not get the 18% interest. I'm astounded at how Fourleaf is able to put up a brick wall around communication about loans. Horrible. They won't do anything to facilitate a draw on my line of credit. I am so unhappy with the errors that I'm experiencing with fourleaf credit union. After receiving a paper check from another banking institution for payment of my mortgage, cashed the check, sent me an email that payment was applied to my account . 5 days later I'm getting emails that my payment is late, calls 2 times a day looking for payment. I uploaded a canceled check per their instructions and received 2 more calls for payment today! read more

I been a member since Grumman started the credit union. over 40 years. this is no longer a credit union but a bank. We are defined as share holders entitled to better rates etc yea right . Is also non profit. I have a heloc loan for a number of years with account withdrawal for payment. They decided to stop doing it. Then sent me formal letters they are foreclosing on my home. Went down to branch spoke to branch manager who no longer can access your account info. filled out papers to restart auto pay paid balance.papers Never went though got more letters taking my house. Thepayments went to principal. Asked for a 12 month print out can't do that according to manager. Trying to call someone that can do something must be10 calls. I give up the payments are in the account take it. I am done will call the Nys banking and attorney general. I had 4 charges of $75 taken out consecutively and I created a dispute. They were from a CVS in New Hampshire. They denied my claim because they said I authorized them. I told the lady I live on Long Island and was working in Holtsville that day. She said there was nothing left she could do and I would have to do my own investigation and file a police report. $300 gone and I live paycheck to paycheck. I've been assisting elderly mother with requesting documentation for a time-sensitive matter and it has been an absolute nightmare. The Four Leaf website is not user friendly or easy to navigate. We have been on the phone with various customer support people who have all given differing answers. Online requests have been ignored. They will ONLY send the documents in the mail and there is no way to expedite shipping. And then we received the wrong documents! We've been working on this for a month now. i was with bethpage credit union for 25 years and would rate them a 5 star company. after 2 weeks with Fourleaf, i would rate them a 0 star company... the mortgage autopay was not transferred. so the due date is july 1, you cant autopay setting up a new payment till aug 1. so they are criminally charging every mortgage customer late fees and banging credit scores, by blocking any payments to be on time through their system. Believe the bad reviews and DO NOT BANK HERE. We got a heloc from Bathpage back in January 2025. Since then, they transitioned to FourLeaf, and now the only way you can get funds out of your heloc account is to write a check. If this check is over $25,000, you cannot mobile deposit it into your FourLeaf savings account. And it is 'impossible' for them to increase this $25,000 limit. So they make it pretty hard to get your funds out of your heloc. read more

FourLeaf definitely deserves NEGATIVE stars. I have great credit, however they discriminate, so it didn't matter. I was able to get a great personal loan from the Lending Club and funds were deposited in 32 hours!!!! Now that's great service as it should be for well deserving individuals with good credit - no matter what their ethnicity is. got a HELOC loan through Bethpage, which became four leaf and set up auto pay. Somehow through the transition, something happened with our auto pay account and we were short literally $3 dollars one month and we had no idea nobody reached out to us. There was no email no letter no text no phone call and the next thing I know we have a past due account and my credit score tanks by 60 points and I have over 25 years of superb credit history. I dispute the report to my credit and it takes over a month and I just get a generic letter in the email saying sorry you were passed you and nobody looks to see that I'm on auto pay. I have superb credit history and the amount that we were short was $3 dollars. this is exactly why people hate and don't trust financial service industries and I'm so annoyed that we are actually talking to our regular mortgage company about buying out the HELOC and just being done with this company forever I have people ask me all the time for recommendations and I cannot recommend this company at all for what they did to my credit over literally three dollars. read more

Update to Account Freeze: After waiting almost 2 weeks to get an appointment to verify my address I did everything they asked me. had to wait another day for them to clear the information which they did and then emailed me that the account hold had been lifted. Yet I still couldn't log in. I had to call them again and go through a 2 hour long customer service call to have them unlock my account. Once in I tried to transfer my money out and close my account while on the phone with customer service and was told the transfer was put on hold and that I'd have to wait another 5 days to send any money to my other bank Steer clear. read more

Been a customer for 15 years and I am shocked how downhill Bethpage has gone. Last night I was locked out of my account (again) this has happened several times. Every time it's happed customer service has lied to me and told me they tried to call me and that's a lie. I even made sure that I they had the correct phone number on file and they did. Literally just got of the phone and they said my account was locked because of a web agreement. So customer service is open 7am to 7 pm so I guess if I get locked out of my account after hours I am sheet out of luck. This bank is a joke. A fricken joke. I have had an account with Bethpage FCU for years. There is definitely an issue with how they post payments. Bethpage FCU offers a 10 day grace period after the due date to pay your bill. I always set my payment up 7 days in advance, and it is always scheduled to come out 2 days before the grace period ends. However, it takes Bethpage FCU another 3 days to post the payment. So the grace period expires, and I am charged with a $25 late fee. I CAN'T HELP BUT THINK THIS IS A SCAM!!! I had not had a late fee in almost a year! SHAME ON BETHPAGE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION!! As far as being my credit union, I mostly like them, Ive been a member for many years when interest rates mattered. Speaking of interest rates, I think they owe me a few years of 1% interest in my checking. I've been putting everything into the money market when I realized I wasn't earning in the checking, while all along I believe I should have been. All spilt milk really as it's a couple hundred bux. I like that I've finally got a branch close to home but the drive through ATM is constantly out of service as it was last night, I walked in to talk about a stolen account number and they wanted to charge me 30 bux to stop checks - Really kick a guy when he's down. I would give this bank negative stars if I could. I have many accounts with them. Been with them for years and had many others join them. So 2 weeks ago their on line banking was down. At 1st I thought it was an area thing. So I went on my desk computer and it was still down. It was down the whole day. The next day it was on and off. Not able to see what was going on I went to the bank the next day. The site was still down, I learned by the teller that one of my accounts was over drawn. He said many were complaining about the on line banking. They charged me over $100 in fees. I had the teller transfer the money to make the account in good standing. When I called the bank for them to reimburse me because had I been unable to see my accounts or I could've transferred the money and there would have been no issue. They refused telling me it wasn't their fault. Now I am looking for other banks to bank with. So if you're considering this bank... Save yourself future stress. So far so good with Bethpage. I'm liking this no ATM fee thing, basically anywhere. 7-Eleven's, Dunkin Donuts, Walgreens, etc. ALL FREE! If you hand in your old debit card, you get $100. If you refer someone to the bank, you receive $25, per person. The bad? Hours are eh. They close at 4 pm on most days, and 6 pm on their later days, which stinks for me because the location isn't extremely close to my house. BETHPAGE is the worst! A fake eBay act. was made using my identity and the scammers made purchases using a false act. $586 for 3.5oz of dog food, and a generic men's/woman's pair of sneakers for $619. Bethpage reviewed my case and stated the purchases were authorized (obviously they weren't). I argued and after 30 minutes asking someone to escalate my case to a higher power they said they would, after a week I've heard nothing, I'm still missing $1199.92. from my act. I called when these fraudulent charges were pending, BFCU did nothing, eBay suspended the fake account (and the sellers fake act) PayPal noticed suspicious activity and froze my act. but Bethpage took my money and said their decision is final. He took care of the issue I had by transferring funds and emailing me a form I had to sign, scan into a PDF and return to him by email.
