Winter Marie was the banker delt with and it was impressive. The building is new, smells good (unlike Ronkonkoma) and more about relationship banking then just banking. I recommend Winter to anyone that is looking for a new bank or just need to see a change and deal with people that understand the importance of service and knowledge. I only come and deal with the branch to make a monthly cash payment on a loan. The branch itself: they are always mostly nice, sometime a little short, but never rude or unpleasant. It's only occasionally busy, so wait times aren't usually too bad, but what a difference from TFCU where there's often 5-6 tellers working. At Chase I'm lucky if one teller is working, because they've substituted at least two tellers with fancy ATMs. Wait times can get long easily because of this, just a few people and suddenly they get backed up, but in fairness it's not often. The bank itself is clean and they are open late enough to be convenient, but like I said, between their awful awful telephone support and the fact I'm with a credit union already, I'll just never have an account here. They get these three stars for tellers that mostly smile and get the job done when I'm there.

My husband and I are in the process of trying to buy a house. There is no getting around heading to the bank to "make some money moves" (LOL). Begrudgingly him and I went to this location and I was pleasantly surprised at how quick and painless our visit was. This location is a bit on the smaller side, so right off the bat I was less apprehensive on the task at hand. Upon walking in we saw empty host desk, but was greeted moments later and apologies were made for the wait. We didn't wait that long but I was appreciative of the sentiment. One of the financial advisor, Carolyn, was able to meet with us right away. she was able to advise us on our accounts and was also able to do what we asked fairly quickly. She also notified us of other tools that we could take advantage of through online banking. The one thing I mostly appreciated was she did not try to upsell us, rather she was mostly informative. It made what could be a very stressful errand not so stressful.

The woman who sat with us very very helpful and pleasant, and even though they were busy we didn't have to wait long to sit and speak with her. We needed to open another account and were really torn whether to stay with them, but decided to give them another chance since we've been banking with them over 10 years. I'm hopefully optimistic that our issues are addressed and we can keep using TFCU as our bank. If that turns out not to be the case, I'll report back. They treated us like value customers and wanted to help, so that says something. Fingers crossed.

I've been putting everything into the money market when I realized I wasn't earning in the checking, while all along I believe I should have been. All spilt milk really as it's a couple hundred bux. I like that I've finally got a branch close to home but the drive through ATM is constantly out of service as it was last night, I walked in to talk about a stolen account number and they wanted to charge me 30 bux to stop checks - Really kick a guy when he's down. They tried to help but did not get a call back either! The manager entered a complaint and voila I got a call today. I attempted to discuss the added fees; late; interest and sales tax that should be removed from the final bill and was told and I quote "pay the bill today or we will charge it off!" Really. So now I will attempt to get those fees refunded.. Would not recommend this bank to anyone. Beyond frustrated.
