The workout is very challenging, but low impact, so you can do it several times a week while saving all your joints! Before I realized the studio had re-opened, I tried out Pure Barre. While the class itself at Pure Barre was ok, there was zero interaction between the instructor and students. At Bear Flag Fitness, the instructors are continually helping with form to maximize your results and keep you safe. They also keep the energy up with their encouragement, and they know the name of every single student. It's definitely more of a "community" here. I have tried a lot of different workouts over the past few decades...and this is the only one I've been able to stick to for over 3 years--partly because of the community, and partly because of the undeniable results! I have never had toned arms or back before doing this workout. I just love it here.

We were both completely dying, but will definitely be back; I've already signed up for a monthly auto-renewal membership. The people, both staff and attendees, were so warm and friendly and chill - and working out in a mask wasn't nearly as uncomfortable as I thought it would be (or maybe I was being challenged *just enough* to not notice the mask). I'm certain I'll be sore tomorrow but my joints, which I've mistreated for years, won't hate me. What more could you ask for!? I'm super excited to try more classes; this is going to be a great, ass-kicking, toning workout to fold into my swimming and Peloton routine, and maybe, just maybe, I'll be able to do a decent push-up set again sometime soon!

The group of 10- 15 women in the class are very encouraging and supportive. Everyone works at their own pace so you stay challenged and no one is left behind. Not only am I about to sign up for my fourth session but I have lost over 25 lbs and several inches. Most importantly, I feel stronger and have more endurance and energy to get me through my every day life. I have been going to the 5 day a week program but she also offers 3 and 4 day a week packages. There are also 3 different sessions during the day, so you can sign up for one and go to others if your schedule changes. The workout itself varies every single day. Some days are mostly strength and some are mostly cardio, but every day is a mix of both. She has different tools and routes and circuits every single day. you never get bored! Every day includes core training and stretching. We also do an assessment the first and last week of boot camp that illustrates how much stronger and faster we have gotten. When I first started I could barely complete a push up and it took me almost 18 minutes to complete a mile, now I am under 15 and working towards a 10 minute mile!

Since having a baby in late 2007 I haven't been very active so I really needed something that was going to kick my butt and this was definitely it! The class focuses on cardio, developing strength, endurance and much more. I attended the 3 day a week program and in 4 weeks lost 11% of my body fat. But I have to say that while I was doing this program I also cut out all junk food so it was definitely a combination of working out and eating healthy. I'm signing up again for the next session.

The classes are challenging and fun and I know that if I show up, I'll get a great workout. I have noticed a difference in my body and I'm excited to keep it up. Outside of the gym I'm noticing that my running is improving. I've shaved almost a minute off my mile since I started training with David, even though that wasn't something I was specifically training for. When I broke my arm, I was so bummed that I wouldn't be able to work out. But David encouraged me to go to class and modified my workouts. My Ortho Dr. & Physical therapist were amazed how quickly I healed. The Dr told me that being active promotes blood flow and speeds up healing. It worked, I only missed a week from the gym and could put weight on my arm after 4 months! David's mission is to bring together a community of healthy and happy people through fitness. He and his team train in a personalized way that allows every person to be in their best shape because they believe that everyone can be an athlete. I personally believe that the owner of a gym is a huge reflection on the gym and its direction. With David's friendly demeanor, knowledge of physical fitness, and ambition to take the gym to the next level to further the quality of lives through diet and physical movement.

I went there with a friend around 11:20 am on a Sunday, and David was already there with few people , getting ready to start the session at 11:30. In the past , I had minor IT-band syndrome , and after mentioning that to David, he showed extreme knowledge of the human body, and explained to me exactly what exercise I should, and shouldn't do. The workout was intense and my body felt sore then next day , which logically is I great result from the hour long workout we had ;) Thank you David, and keep doing what you do, because you are really good at it !

Yoga always felt a little too slow for me without being challenging. That is definitely not the case with classes at NOW Power Yoga! The studio itself is a pretty big room that get heated for each class. I especially enjoy that each class is often powered by modern music with a heavy beat. The instructors are super positive and help set the mood. Depending on the class, there are some that will focus on weights versus holding moves. While I highly recommend, I would say for beginners to yoga who are not too familar with the moves may have a hard time following along. Recommend bringing a yoga mat, towel, and water bottle to class because you are guaranteed to sweat! You can also bring a refillable bottle as well since they have water stations. I also appreciate that they have a shower. Because it shares a parking lot with other businesses, I would caution that depending on the time of day parking can get difficult so may want to come early at peak times to ensure you get a spot in time. The same for the class itself! NOW Power Yoga is a worthy visit especially if you are looking for a heated yoga class!

He tailors the workouts to match our ability, but also pushes us so that we get stronger. When we both started, we didn't have a lot of stamina or strength and would tire easily. Now we feel stronger and more energized. Gerard is extremely knowledgeable about fitness and muscle building/toning and focuses attention on all areas of the body, giving us a full body workout. One of the best parts is that what he's taught us are exercises we can do almost anywhere! Fitness aside, Gerard is also a wonderful person, easy to talk to, listens to what you are looking for, and is really easy to get along with! He's super flexible and adjusts the workouts based on our schedules. We love that he comes to our gym and makes it easy for us to work out. If you're looking for a personal trainer, look no further! I've done several classes and joined different gyms and I can honestly say that going the extra mile with a personal trainer is well worth it. And Gerard is the best personal trainer around!

I found Gerard through Bark and met him, did the assessment and signed up for a package. He then proceeded to change the date of our meeting times twice (once on the actual day), and he completely didn't show on another time and claimed we had agreed on a different time but I sent him a photo of our text exchange to prove we hadn't. I believe in giving folks chances, but this was the third time of flaking and at this point I asked for my money back. He was ok with that and claimed he'd send me a check. Then a week went by. Then two. Then two more. He said it "got lost in the mail"--I waited another month. He still claimed he'd drop by with it and he never did. Eventually, I had to file a claim with my credit card company to get my money back. The owner of the gym even asked Gerard to leave because he's done this to other people too.
