Since then I have had multiple leaks patched, a motor replaced, and a control panel replaced. I do the routine maintenance myself (chemicals, cleaning, jet replacement) but I call Poseys for everything that requires opening up the outer shell. Poseys is a small family run business, so when I phone I know to expect that I may need to leave a message, but they usually return the phone call within a day and when they do, I know I will be speaking with the company directly, not a switchboard. Their communication has always been clear, their manner professional, their prices lower than MY estimates, and their work reliably good. Twenty-three years ago I purchased the right spa for my health needs: the right size and shape, the right jet placement, and thanks to Poseys I have not had to replace that spa with a newer model that lacks the features I value. As for Poseys, I just hope their family business continues for as long as I own a spa, because that's the company I want for repairs.

In October of 2021 the Operations Manager, Tristen Hewitt stopped by my house to give me a quote to epoxy my two car garage. I told him that my only concern was that I had just bought a very expensive indoor medical sauna and that I did not want it to get damaged sitting outside while the work was being done. I was reassured that the job would take three days, five at the most. The earliest time available was in December, starting on a Monday. I prepped and cleaned my garage and put my indoor medical sauna in the driveway and wrapped it in tarps over the weekend prior to the start date. I then received a call informing me that the last job was going late and they would be over on Tuesday afternoon instead of Monday morning to start working. I was starting to get worried as the weather reports were predicting freezing temperatures and snow. I voiced these concerns to the Operations Manager over the phone and was assured that the job would get done on time. Tuesday afternoon one person showed up to start prepping the floor later in the afternoon who told me the last job had gone late because they were doing the owners relatives house and they wanted the job to be perfect, I hoped that I would get that same level of consideration and service. The prep took a few days and then the first layer of epoxy was put down on the garage floor. A giant heater was hooked up to my electrical fuse box and my washer and dryer were unplugged. The heater was then turned all the way up. I had anticipated that this would need to be done as had read about it in the contract, what I was not expecting was that it would be hooked up and running full blast for over two full weeks as I was told that they were unable to make it over to my house to finish the job during that time. My power bill went up by over $300 dollars that month, I could not use my garage, washer, dryer or my sauna that was left outside with snow pilling up on top of it. I borrowed a tent from my father to cover my indoor medical sauna from the snow and it was irreparably damaged due to the snow. I had to leave for a few days for a work trip during the middle of all of this and when I got home my garage door was left wide open with water all over the floor. I also noticed that the epoxy job had holes and craters everywhere and that the prep work had not been done adequately as you could clearly see a huge spot across the floor where it had not been sanded down enough, It looked really bad especially considering how much I paid to have this done. I had also asked if the sidewalls could be epoxied or painted and after some opposition from the Operations Manager I was told this would be taken care of, it was not. I voiced my frustration via email and was told that they would return in a few months when things got warmer to fix the job. 7 months later they came and fixed the job. Once again I had to clean out my garage and put my indoor medical sauna outside and wrap it in tarps. The repairs were made and I am happy with the overall results. I told the operations manager that I was happy with the results after which I promptly received another bill. I was extremely surprised and after looking over the contract sure enough I did not have to pay the full amount up front, just the majority of it. I emailed and voiced my surprise and frustration, 7 months to get the job done right, having to clean out my garage and put back together two times as well as all of the work of moving a big indoor medical sauna and wrap it in tarps coupled with the sky high electrical bill and the tent that broke that I had to replace, I was extremely surprised that I was not offered any financial considerations for a job that clearly did not go according to plan. The operations manager very harshly replied to my email with highlighted legal items from the contract. After some back and forth and realizing that the operations manager treats every problem or issue as if it's a nail and he's the hammer I resorted to writing this review. I really did not want to write this review as I know the impact a bad review can have on a small business as I myself am a small business owner. I gave the company every opportunity to offer some kind of discount and consideration for all of the extra time, effort and money I spent to get this done. I paid a premium price to get this done right so that I did not have to do this myself, in hindsight with the amount of time and money I spent I should have done it myself for a fraction of the cost, or hired another company. My advice is to use someone else, there are a lot of other epoxy companies out there.
