If you are reading this, your search for dog training stops here. This is the place you need and…read morethey will change your life! This sounds a little over the top BUT I'm not lying. I tell our trainers Katie and Nicole all of the time that they are life savers. We brought our puppy here at 1 years old - a small wild, energetic Jack Russell who knew every time I was on a video meeting to bark his head off and embarrass me EVERY TIME! Walks were out of the question since he would pull on the leash to the point he would choke himself... sitting on the deck was a nightmare in our own backyard because he would bark at the wind (yes, the wind), the leaves moving, the birds and obviously the neighbors. Does this sound familiar? I questioned my decision of getting a puppy and then I found Max K9. We did a 3 week Board & Train where I was super hesitant of dropping him off (because no one wants to leave their baby anywhere), but they were so good with sending video progress and pictures and including my husband and I in the process. I joke with everyone that I think they implanted a program into his brain! Lol! The transformation was unreal. We were instantly able to communicate with him and actually go on a walk.. outside in the real world. What a breath of fresh air, literally! Max K9 has given us the ability to live an active lifestyle and have our pup enjoy it with us. Hikes, traveling, morning walks, trips to the store, brewery visits, long car rides out of state... you name it. I would do it all over again if I had to without a question. So if you've made it this far, thanks for reading. I hope this helps you make your decision to having a better relationship with your pup and enjoying life with them every step of the way.

We were having trouble trying to help him adjust from living in the south on a large property to living in a one bedroom apartment with cats and a smaller back yard. We were set up with our trainer, Jim, he educated us on how to handle Keiko properly (from basic obedience to different enrichment), build a better bridge of communication and help with his confidence. Our last session Keiko even decided he was going to try one of the obstacles from maximum K9's agility course (no prompting from us) shocking both me and my fiancé. Safe to say Keiko loves Maximum K9 as much as we do . Since our training we have been able to do so much more and get Keiko better involved in our activities (which we know he loves). They also have so many great treats, toys, and training tools for those at varying levels in their store portion.

There were plenty of dogs showing off with neat tricks and the place is spacious enough that it doesn't feel cramped. The kids go into a groups of 2-3 and takes turn going to sectioned areas to play with the trained pups. I was afraid that my daughter with eczema would have a scratching fit from the dogs, but they were all well-groomed and no odor at all. All the toys I touched didn't feel grimy and old. I can tell they take good care of this facility. A big plus is it's air conditioned and plenty of seats for the adults! Lots of times at kids' parties, the parents have to find odd things to sit on or stand, which is not a problem here. If you are looking to throw a birthday party, this is your place!

I searched online, found this center, and scheduled a session in the interim. I got to spend time with the sweetest dog, who snuggled up and hung out with me for the duration of my time there. It was perfect for me. Vicki and the dog's owner listened to my situation and offered suggestions and information for proceeding with obtaining an ESA dog of my very own. A second dog and his owner came by too and I was able to see them practicing in the agility/obstacle course pen and play with him as well. I haven't felt so relaxed in a long time, it really made my day. What a wonderful place and caring people!

We have brought our Shiba here twice now (boarding for a week). Staff is great. Some are more…read moreknowledgeable about animals than others. But care and kindness is something that we have always seen (that is what matters most). They are also very professional. If there is a concern or request, they will assist you in a timely manner, and everything is noted. We had a few requests since our breed does not take well to other breeds, they were more than accommodating in giving him his own time away from the others, and allowing us to bring his own food (due to allergy) and bowls. One fixed issue we had the first time: our dog came back with kennel cough, we called them solely so they could inform the other pet owners...they surprised us with an email apologizing and asking for a copy of the vet bill(they paid for the whole thing!) Kennel cough is a normal thing (as per our vet), so don't get overly upset if this happens... we get colds on airplanes, yet we still fly! I do suggest bringing their own bowls (food and water) and making sure everything you bring is marked with their name.

I have a Shiba Inu so all it really is is just a bath and nail trimming- very basic. Two weeks later my dog ended up with a really bad infection which cost me $200 for the visit and medications. The vet told me it's because the groomer got water in his ears and didn't clean and dry it properly My dog had never been sick and never had an ear infection and now my poor baby is sick. They're not professionally trained groomers so I recommend going somewhere else.

However, it was so uncomfortable to deal with one member of she staff. She was dismissive of my husband and I because we both work- although my husband works from home. The fact that she would verbalize such clearly sexist and classist tones to customers paying a STEEP price tag is insulting to say the least. She also was not up front about our dogs parentage until we picked him up! While I have no complaints about my pup- it still indicates poor professionalism.

Title: I should have adopted a dog…read more On August 31st, I called Petite Pets. Our family was in double mourning. First, our 16 year old poodle had passed away. Second, our family had traveled all the way to Manhattan to adopt a Bichon...only to find out she had passed away before we arrived. I told myself I would NEVER buy a dog. Adopt don't shop. Right? Well not when you drive home from Manhattan with crying 2.5 year old twins. Tinsy went to heaven? Chloe too? Why mommy? So, I called the puppy store near my house; Petite Pets. A lovely woman named Beth encouraged me to come in, "We have the perfect dog for you...he's a little older...his name is Griffin". I wisely came in without my children because I didn't want them to be let down again. However, I fell in love at first sight with this little guy. His sad eyes, his long curly hair, the fact that he was a "leftover". I promptly called my husband and had him bring my girls over to meet him. Beth was right, Griffin was the perfect dog for us. At the time, $1150 was more money than we could afford and frankly against my morals and beliefs but we were IN LOVE. Beth explained that Griffin had been heavily discounted because he was "older" at 7 months old. Now here's when I regretted my decision: this past weekend, after owning Griffin for only 5 weeks...he started to limp, and not bear any weight on one leg. Concerned, my husband brought him right in to Dr. Alison Rhein of Dix Hill Animal Hospital. Incidentally, Dr Ali is also the owner of Petite Pets. At that time she diagnosed our poor Griffin with Legge Perthes, a hereditary disease that needs to be surgically corrected. The xrays cost 350$ and the surgery will cost $2500. Wow! We thought, "I'm sure Dr. Ali and Petite Pets will DO THE RIGHT THING." Wrong. Very wrong. Petite Pets has offered to offset the cost by 1150$(the original cost of our Griffin). This means, our grieving family will be out $1700. This $1700 is probably NOTHING for the owner of two businesses in Huntington BUT for our young family it will be the difference between being able to afford pre-school, a family vacation or even Christmas presents. We know our sweet fur baby needs the surgery and therefore we will pay.

It takes expertise and knowledge to breed to this caliber. After my beloved Sparky passed away I decided to adopt a new puppy. I took a ride out to Bow Wow and was greeted very warmly with care and respect. After talking with Maryanne, she got an idea of what I was looking for. she picked out a male Cavapoo for me. My total experience was very nice, informative and left with my new puppy Charlie. You can feel more than comfortable knowing you will be treated fairly, professionally, and with respect. I highly recommend Bow Woo! A++ from this happy daddy! Much love THANK YOU FOR CHARLIE
