I would recommend this spot definitely if the bartender, Jenna, is not there. Our waitress, Bella, was fantastic, very sweet and did a great job! Our food and drinks were excellent! Our problem and what caused us to only give 3 stars was Jenna. She looked like she just crawled out of bed and was proclaiming to the whole place how she was still half drunk. She also made liberal use of the f-bomb and was talking about "cocaine Tuesdays" (paraphrasing) and p***y Wednesdays (again, paraphrasing), which both seemed inappropriate with a baby in the establishment, as well as highly unprofessional. We've been coming once a year for 8years. We always spend NFL Sunday here and have always had an amazing experience, until today . Bartenders we're for the most part apathetic about their job, only one of 3 spoke to us the whole time . Unless you worked there or were obviously a regular you were ignored . In the past food was good , not really the case today , I think my French fries sat in the window for an hour and then dropped in fryer to serve, they were burnt and overly greasy the bun on my burger was so hard I had to peel the top layer off, not once were we asked how it was . We like this place because of all the TV's and the owner has always been super friendly when we were there, thus the 4 stars. I think his staff behind the bar except for 1 girl is not really doing him any favors and the kitchen needs a little love . Fun bar atmosphere with surprisingly decent bar food. Came in the middle of the day for lunch. Was quickly seated although the seating arrangement for large groups of people is less than ideal- we could only sit on one side of the table so hard to talk to each other. Foods- got some wings for the Monday wing special. Pretty meaty I but I felt the flavors were on the bland side (I like my wings spicy!). Also got a Cobb salad with chicken -- for a bar they actually did a decent job with their salads with fresh ingredients and decent portions. Drinks- just had some beers but seemed like a pretty standard selection. Good prices. Ambiance- chill with attentive service. Overall laid back atmosphere with above average bar food (mainly salad). Four Corners is definitely one of the best sports bars around. LOTS of TVs, showing every football game possible on Saturdays and Sundays. There is a decent beer selection, but the real reason to come is the food. New ownership took over about a year ago and the food became very, very good for being bar-type. We had our fantasy football draft there a couple of months ago and got a mixture of appetizers (wings, calamari, quesadillas) and a few different guys at the table commented on how good everything was. Four Corners is my favorite place for wings. I've been having trouble finding wings that I loved in the area and I am glad to say that my search is over. I like the basic hot (buffalo), but my favorite are the cajun style - spicy and tasty. The wings are crispy on the outside, yet tender and they are big wings - much larger than what you typically get at a wing place. We came to 4 Corners on 3 separate occasion...Friday afternoon, Saturday pre game, and then Saturday night post game! The environment, food, drinks, and staff were awesome! I specifically want to compliment, Sinclair, for being such a wonderful server. We literally only came back to four corners after the game because of how enjoyable she made our pregame experience! Waited a hour for a server (after the guy who sat us down said she was on the way). The bartenders were flirting with drunk guys standing on chairs and ignored us. Then we approached them and they said the "the kitchen is closed but we can get you a menu and silverware if you would like". She was very rude from the start and would not could not comp us any $5 blue moons even though we waited for over an hour. Came in in the afternoon to grab a bit before the bar I was going to watch the game at opened. Got the most anemic nachos I have ever seen (after checking food photos here to make sure they were shredded cheese - no, they mostly pour queso dip on them and the kind of sprinkle a tidbit of skinny shreds). My server took forever to come back and check on my because she was busy chit chatting and socializing with the table behind me while I had eaten one chip and then pushed my food away. I've never been here in person, only started ordering from uber eats--then realized i can skip the fees and just call the restaurant directly for delivery and use that extra to give them a good tip so they'll (hopefully) keep delivering. All these people act so impressed with Al's burgers in chapel hill, but Four Corners has em beat I think. They use better-tasting burger meat and their fries are awesome. First off, let me say that this is a regular place for us for Tuesday night trivia and has been for almost 20 years. We've been through several renditions of this restaurant, but the last one which I would guess has been here for the last 10 plus years is by far my favorite and the most professionally run. We rarely get table service because we sit at the bar to play the trivia game. I can't speak to that service so much, but it looks like it's fairly efficient. I have never seen anyone have to wait long unless there's a basketball game on. Then all bets are off. Those folks are lucky if they can wade thru the crowd that feels Entitled to stand in the middle of the bar and yell and spill adult beverages everywhere. Believe me, they don't care if there's a server until they want another drink. This weekend I had occasion to use 4 corners for a catered event. I had several people with odd dietary concerns and 4 corners could handle each and every one and offered suggestions which I would not have thought of. We've used them to have birthday parties, a wake, and I believe a wedding anniversary. Each time they've come through for use in a spectacular way. Say what you will about the service, these guys put their hearts and souls in it for us and I have not been disappointed yet. Give them a try if you haven't. You won't be disappointed read more

Update 8/21: Monday night wings are now $0.75 instead of $0.50. Service is still absolutely horrendous but dammit the wings are still really good. This price increase is making it harder on me to endure the terrible waiters... but, the wings though... I never write a Yelp review but my experiences here have been so bad I need to let others know. I have gone to Four Corners at least ten times in the last six months. Their 50 cent wings on Mondays are hard to pass up. It's delicious! And so are their fries (God, get their fries). But every time I've ever eaten here, the service has been bar none some of the worst I've ever experienced. I keep telling myself I won't come back but then Monday rolls around and I can't stop thinking about those wings and fries. What's so terrible, you ask? The server never comes back to the table once he/she has taken our order. Every. Single. Time. We generally don't come when it's busy, either. Sometimes we are the only customers and the service is still horrendous! Even when we order beer it doesn't make it to the table until we either walk up to the bar and personally ask for the drink (in which case they tell us to wait at our table for our server to bring it) or we stop our server while he/she is walking around to remind them we still haven't gotten our drink yet. One time the beer came out lukewarm after we already got our food! It's not even just one server. It's every server we've ever gotten at Four Corners. Every server!! At this point, we can only blame the lack of training from the upper management. We were there yesterday after UNC demolished NC State in basketball (107-56 for the record) and we hadn't seen our server for so long we had to ask the hostess to get him for us. We were the second table to do this exact thing, as we noticed a couple at a different table becoming agitated with their lack of service as well. In conclusion, will I go back to Four Corners? Probably. I mean, 5 bucks for 10 wings? Come on. But every time I do I have to make sure I have the patience to spare. I'm giving this a five star rating based on my experience with other sports bars on Franklin. It's pretty rare that I find a sports bar I can deal with but this one is an exception. The food here is a bit more thoughtful and better executed than other places though make no mistake this is definitely bar food! I've liked everything I've tried here amazingly enough. My favorite being the number 23. The chicken is cooked perfectly. Its tender and moist which is hard to find in chicken breasts. They add cheese, roasted peppers, bacon and a delicious Rosemary mayo that really makes this item stand out for me. Other contenders are the turkey club and the avocado, bacon and pimiento cheese. A good vegetarian hack is to get it without bacon. So good. And the bread isn't dry and stale like I've found elsewhere. It would be nice if they had a few vegetarian options other than pasta, apps and salads though. The place doesn't look like much from the outside. That old sign isn't doing them any favors either. I've gone by here and never stopped because you have no idea what to expect and it looks like a place that time forgot but once inside its a cool, comfortable place with different levels and seating. Been consistently coming here for trivia night on Wednesdays. Last semester we were probably 1 of 3 teams in attendance, however, last week the place was packed! Got good drink specials: $1.50 margaritas, $8 pitchers, $3 absolut drinks $4.50 yagerbombs (if you are into stuff like that). 2.5 stars Was here on Saturday to watch the Uconn game and the place was pretty dead. The people who worked there clearly did not want to make any tips because they just stared at me and kept going about their business. Other signs that they wish the bar was closed for the day: -Waitress painting her nails on the bar -Another waitress discussing makeup with the other waitress who is painting her nails. Mind you I was waiting to be helped. -Female bartender flat ironing her hair in the bathroom instead of serving drinks to the 10 people waiting to be helped. Wings were dry, not hot (temperature-wise) and the driest pieces of celery were on the plate with the sorry excuse for chicken wings. Last time I had food here it was ok. This was unacceptable. Zero stars. Chapel Hill is in desperate need of a REAL sports bar. This place has potential but needs to hire new cooking staff and re-train their bartenders and servers in customer service. read more

I litterally made this place my second home during my 10 day stay in Chapel Hill, the staff here are highly attentive, friendly and can all hold a decent conversation! Most of the beers sold are I'm sure either local atleast or generally domestic American, I do not recall seeing many exports which is a good thing, because I like to see a little pride in the local beers! The food menu is just the right size to beable to narrow anyones choices down to a few and ask the lovely girl behind the bar for her opinion! For me it was all about the Carolina burger, spectacular food! The service is certainly on another level of greatness, with the decorations giving you a real feel of a typical American Bar and the Southern Hospitality you get, you'd have to really go there to understand why I loved it so much! This is definately a place to go for a big game, specially if the Heels are playing, lots of locals I'm sure will crowd that place, and give you an unforgettable experience! read more

Somehow my $6 lunch came to $10.33 pre-tip. When I asked about it, Sam let me know that it starts at $6 then they add on $3.50 for blackened chicken. Apparently, I misread the sign. Four Corners is a very fun bar to have a few drinks and watch your favorite sports team play. Atmosphere: They have multiple TVs and if it's not a UNC basketball game day, it won't be too crowded. My only complaint is this: even if there's no one else at the bar, certain bartenders won't turn the volume on the TV if you're watching a match. I've been told that the manager doesn't allow it, but I've been there at times while he was there (super awesome and nice guy) and I was watching the audible match while chatting with him, and certain other bartenders don't mind turning the volume on at all. Food: They don't have many vegetarian options (understandable for a sports bar) aside from an ok vegetarian burger and sides which are pretty good. Drinks: They serve ridiculously good Lemondrop shooters and they make a banging Carolina Crush (Orange Crush with a twist). They're also one of few bars on Franklin that have corona on tap, which is nice when you're watching matches on TV. Also, fairly good $1.50 margaritas on Tuesdays! read more

Four Corners is a pretty decent option when it comes to Sports Bars on Franklin! I hosted an alumni event here last Saturday, and it went over really well. We had good attendance, and since the Tarheels played the Thursday before, we didn't have a conflict of fandom. That is pretty epic for Chapel Hill. ;) The service was good on that day - but the next day when I took my husband back (specifically to taste Big Boss' Harvest Time), the service was lacking. We really just went in to get a brew and get out - and it took us twice the time it would have normally taken. That's my half star dock right there. The other half would be for how loud the speakers were on Day 2. During our alumni event on Day 1, the volume was perfect - just loud enough to where you could really pay attention to the game AND still hear the people around you. Day 2, however, it was so loud that I could barely hear my husband who was sitting right next to me. And, it was basketball. Wop wop (i mean, squeak squeak). The beer selection is decent - and I did just mention Harvest Time - they have a few seasonal and local beers that aren't the easiest to find, so that was definitely a people pleaser. I'd definitely host an event there again - management is definitely easy to work with and very courteous. read more

The food was decent, but I really hope my service was out of the ordinary. After searching online for a good place to watch a non-conference game, I was directed to Four Corners. I was impressed with the layout and number of TVs. Pretty cool. Not cool was needing to approach the hostess about whether my section was actually still open after twenty minutes of trying to flag down any server I could to take my drink order. At least I had the game to distract me. That is until half-way through the second quarter when the TV I'm watching is changed to a different game. Ok, no problem, there's one over the bar. Two minutes left in the half? Eh, let's switch that one too. By then I've had it. I take my check, and my business, to the next bar on my list. If you want a good Philly cheesesteak, do NOT go to Four Corners. The meat was dry and the bread was completely untoasted. Our waiter was inattentive and got my friend's order wrong. The beer selection is pretty basic--nothing to brag about here. Apparently there are some cheap deals throughout the week on liquor and beer (1.50 margaritas on Tuesdays) but that and the multiple TVs for watching the games are the only selling points. These days if I'm in CH I always end up here for a big game. Duke, Final Four, National Championship--always Four Corners. Now that really has nothing to do with me, but more so one of my best friends will ONLY go here to watch games. Evidently they are like the only place with enough HD TV's for him. I'm not a big fan of the food. In fact the last time we were there someone ordered nachos and they looked disgusting. However, during all those big games, the service is excellent! When I went for the 2009 Championship game, we had about 15 people who were ordering constant pitchers of PBR, Psycho T shots, mixed drinks and occasionally food. The server did not disappoint! And the drinks were cheap! Seriously cheap! I'm sure when I'm back in town for big games (which my best friend mentioned above warns me to make plans for 2011), we'll head over to Four Corners for some great game watching! read more

Four corners has the best buffalo chicken in the Triangle Area. Even though I ordered the buffalo chicken salad, they made a mistake and brought me the sandwich. They did not charge me for the sandwich though. My mother had the cobb salad and loved it. We both drank water. It is a bar and you should not bring children in there. Four Corners, which used to be a Woody's that used to be Four Corners but now is Four Corners again, is the classic sports bar that seems like you'd find all over a town with a college in it that happens to boast (and boy do they ever boast) a strong athletic tradition. Sadly, there's just Four Corners. On the plus side, there's Four Corners. I've always loved the tiered layout of this bar. The preferable seating, I think, is an upstairs table with a small group of friends. It gives you a TV dedicated to the game you're there to watch, but also a nice few of the big screens behind the bar that will be filling in whatever blanks as well as the crowd around the bar that can supply you with some endlessly good people-watching if they're invested in the game. Food-wise, you could do worse. It's the sports bar, deep fried chicken in its various forms and some burgers, menu that fans of televised athletic competition have come to know and love. That includes reasonably priced domestic beer on tap. It's a good place to watch a non-Tar Heel game, but can get a little too crowded for my tastes when Carolina's the focus. Sunday afternoons during football season, though, are fantastic. read more

My girlfriend and I went up to Franklin St the other night for a late dinner (945-10ish) and could NOT find anywhere to eat. Apparently once classes are out, all the restaurants and bars start to shut down early. Luckily, Four Corners was still opened and serving food. I believe the kitchen stays open until 1030 or 11. I got the steak that was on special for like $12. Everything was excellent and worth way more that what I paid. My girlfriend got the cobb salad and it was also very good but its pretty hard to mess that up. We also got an order of the Julius Peppers. Would definitely recommend getting these. I could have ate just that and been happy. Service was pretty good except for forgetting my beer once but they were very apologetic and took care of it straight away. I've been to Four Corners a few times and the food and service is consistently good. There are a ton of TVs around so it's great for watching sports. It can get a little crowded later at night but what good bars don't, right? Overall, I'm giving Four Corners four stars b/c it's the best late night food option on Franklin St., imo. read more
