Each bite was well balanced, and while it can't compare to anything I've had out in the low country by the coast, it was better than I hope for this spot and time. If I had to suggest an improvement, it could use an element with a subtle sweetness, like roasted or blistered sweet corn shaved off the cob. I also would like the sauce more pronounced, or even a red-eye gravy. I wouldn't call it dry, but it could have benefited. That would take it onto another level.
