See photos for my Google review…read more DO NOT LIVE HERE. Dirty, outdated, horrible management. 0/10 Only putting 1 star because Yelp and Google made me. Don't recommend. Before I signed my lease I was told I could use the thermostat in the apartment to adjust the temperature. After I signed my lease, as I walked through the apartment with staff, I was informed I have no control over the temperature in the apartment. It was UNBEARABLY hot during the winter time. Would have to open windows to have any type of reprieve. No one is hired to clean the common areas, and if they are, they do a horrible job a.k.a they don't do it at all. There was some sort of cat or dog throw up on the floor outside my apartment the entire year I lived there. The balcony outside my apartment had nails sticking out and pieces of wood that looked like they would break as soon as I walked on them. Put in a maintenance request early on in my lease for them to fix the large outside light of the apartment building I was in so I felt safe walking in and out in the dark. It was never fixed. The fridge and stove were dirty when I moved in. Didn't even look like they were cleaned. The air conditioning units look like there are from the 70s. I got to wake up in the middle of the night to water spewing out of the air conditioner, ruining my personal items and leaving water damage in the bedroom. Units and buildings look super outdated and dirty. They have the audacity of keeping a large portion of my security deposit for things that should cost them way less than they are keeping from me. Very unfair with move out statements and costs. Moved in on the 1st of the month and made me move out on the 21st of the prior month or else I'd have to pay for the entire next month. 0 consideration for tenants. Dumpsters are disgusting and overflowing with trash every week. People leave trash in the buildings that stink up the common areas. Snow removal is not timely in any way. I do not recommend living here unless you like unbearably hot, dirty, outdated living quarters and dealing with people who are inconsiderate of their tenants and their living quarters and only care about making an extra nickel any way possible. EDIT: after looking at other reviews, the company will say anything to try and make it look like they are doing everything they can to make their tenants feel heard, happy, and appreciated which is hilarious. Complete gaslighting. Please don't be fooled by the replies to the bad reviews from Lakota Lakes. I'm sure they would rather try to make themselves look good rather than take accountability for being a terrible place to live and spend your money. There is a reason why they have so many 1 star reviews.

I'm surprised to see so many negative reviews, but maybe people who are happy with their apartments don't take the time to take reviews, lol. Like any place, there is good and bad to living here. In my personal experience, the good definitely outweighed the bad, but in the interest of being as honest as I can with this review, I'll start with the bad: 1) When I moved in, the pipe that was connected to the air conditioning had been installed in a way that it dripped cold water on me while I was showering. Super weird- just an exposed pipe in my shower. I was told it was just a design flaw and there's not much that can be done about it. Thankfully, I have a friend who does HVAC and had some suggestions for solutions. I called maintenance again, and this time they worked with me and fixed my issue. 2) The pools were often closed (this was pre COVID) 3) It is a bit of pain to do your laundry if you don't live in a unit that's near the clubhouse. The apartment complex is quite large, and I had to drive my laundry to the clubhouse to do it rather than just being able to walk down. It's also coin laundry, which is a bit annoying. 4) it is a "gated" community, but there are no gates around the parking lots so anyone can walk in. There was an issue for awhile with people coming from Lakota Lakes (apartment across the street) to use our pool and crowding it up. The "gates" don't really stop that from happening. It's basically just a gate at the front entrance and only prevents cars from parking there. 5) I had some annoying neighbours for sure, but you kind of get those everywhere. Mostly it was people blasting loud music. I never really felt that the walls were super thin though- it only bothered me when the music was SUPER loud. 6) at the time I lived there, there was no recycling. If you wanted to recycle, you had to figure out a different place to do that, which obviously nobody wanted to do as it's really inconvenient. It killed me inside a bit to see all the plastic people were throwing away and not recycling... hopefully they change that. Ok, so now here are the positives! 1) ample parking, never had to worry about finding a spot directly by my apartment at any hour of the day. 2) the gym is small, but it's nice and wasn't that busy. I never had to wait for a machine. 3) the clubhouse really is nice, and they occasionally host events there with free food. 4) the apartment itself was very well designed. I had a one bedroom and it was a great size; even had a walk in closet and a huuuuuge balcony. Everything was in great shape- new appliances, the carpet was clean. 5) I had a positive experience with the maintenance team and the leasing office. They were friendly and responded to my requests promptly. 6) the location is pretty convenient. West Chester as a rule isn't particularly "walkable" but my unit was literally in the backyard of a UDF, Waffle House, and Little Caesar's. Made it super easy to stroll over there if I needed something in a pinch. There's also a cute local bar right across the street called the Village Tavern. 7) the premises are kept very clean. Pool and gym room are well maintained. Overall, I'd recommend living here. No apartment complex is perfect and there were minor inconveniences along the way, but I really did enjoy the 2 years I spent living here and actually feel homesick looking at pictures of the apartments!
