I want to express my satisfaction with Forston Construction. My experience with this company…read morestarted with one of my neighbors' houses being roofed. My wife and I watched in disbelief at how fast this crew was working and getting the job done. They completely stripped the old roof and installed a new roof in one day and it looked awesome at the end of the day. As they were finishing up, we went over to talk to them and was introduced to the owner of the company, Kelly. Had a very nice conversation about his business and I pointed to my house and asked if he had time to look at it and give us an estimate. I left him my number as we were heading out of town at the moment. A little while later I got a text from him with an estimate. We decided to except the estimate and Kelly had his sales manager Nick connect with us. Nick came over and worked out all the details with us and was very thorough with answering all our questions. We all agreed to proceed and was told that we could expect a crew to show up in two days and if everything went well the entire job could be done in one day. The crew showed up on time and immediately began working tearing off old roof. Truck load of material showed up a soon after and the shingles started being laid. I have never in my life seen a group of young men work like this. They knew exactly what they were doing and how to do it. Yasbin was the crew chief and his crew consisted of Hilcias, Jordan, Gabriel and Bey. These guys never stopped till lunchtime and then started back up and did not stop again till the job was completed and everything was cleaned up. They put in a very long day and did a fantastic job! DO…read moreNOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you want left with a home that is in worse condition then when you called this man John to come fix your home. Things were broken and tried to be hid from us, thousands of dollars spent on repairs on things that were broke due to his lack of caring. John actually sat and told my husband and myself that he was just trying to cut corners and save money. We had a dishwasher leak in our home causing major damage to floors and drywall, this man was trying to just slap new drywall up with screws and not tape and mud and not paint stating that we could just buy wider baseboards. Then the company he called to get cheap removal of our HVAC and Hot water heater units blew our hot water heaters and did not take out properly that cost us over $7,000.00. He broke all of our baseboards and then tried to DUCK TAPE them back together and threw them in our garage on TOP of our glass top range which also had to be replaced due to him. Also had to call in a cleaning company as he did not seal off ANYTHING in our home properly and had drywall dust and not to mention whatever one of his workers left in out toilet that was deemed hazardous material by the cleaning company that we had to hire ourselves to clean HIS MESS!!! Also having to replace furniture as he put our things in storage pods in the yard with no care at all and actually used DUCT TAPE to tape drawers on wood furniture shut..... Had to pay out of pocket for the storage pods and actually spoke to the owner of the storage pod company and he has stopped renting to this company due to NON PAYMENT from this man as he doesnt pay and then makes the homeowners pay the bill. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Do research he closed his buisness that was 911 restoration due to bad reviews and being a shady person and opened under the Restoration Connection. I wish that we would have researched more on this man. I hope Karma comes for you John!!!!!

I'm writing this review after 1 year from initial service…read more The initial installation was went fine the pricing was decent $20,000 for a 5 KW system with 10 KW battery and a Smart switch for backup. After selling the Rex the cost was $14,000 same price it would have cost if I would have performed the entire installation myself. After about a month I realized that 5 KW was not quite big enough. Getting them to respond to me and provide me with an estimate was like pulling teeth. They're follow-up communication it's horrible you will get some canned automated emails. I normally don't write long reviews as a former businessman and I definitely don't put any weight on a five-star review that's just an outright lie usually done by a friend of employee. But in this instance I will go out of my way to discourage anyone from using this company for any solar installation. Do your research get plenty of bids there's more than one installer that services Southern Illinois. The one thing I would have to give this company is their ability to laugh at their customers, it appears they find their customers quite entertaining. So don't feel bad if they don't follow up on any communication because they're talking about you.
