    Breakfast Sandwich with Sweet Potatoes
    Mollie M.

We all got the same breakfast sandwich, just different sides and the whole table enjoyed the breakfast sandwich. The location is in a nice spot downtown. I was convinced by our very kind and helpful waiter to try the Greek fries. I did not like the Greek fries. Very strong and pungent- definitely an acquired taste. The seasoned fries were spectacular though! They were probably a little over-seasoned, but I personally like that. The fried pickles were also delicious and cooked to perfection!

Awful. Two stars for the food. To start off we waited at the entrance for fifteen minutes before anyone greeted us. We were then seated by the host and sat at a dirty table. Server only came to our order to take our drinks and when she brought them back took our food order. Someone else brought our food. We had to ask another server after 20 minutes for silverware so I could eat my food. Salad dressing had hair in it so another server got us a new one. Salad comes on a flat plate and easily falls off very messy. Just heads up. They pile the salad high, I got a small and it was plenty. Loaded fries were delicious. Double decker was also good very filling. We waited another 10 minutes for our server to come back (only the third time she checked on us) to bring us our bill. Server had friends I assume at the end of the bar and was continuously talking to them. Awful experience.

Grilled chicken sandwich and "Greek" fries.

This is mostly a bar that has a pretty decent menu. As far as the bar goes, they have almost every liquor known to mankind behind the counter. Our waitress was very attentive, despite the fact that it was extraordinarily busy. The menu consist mostly of sandwiches and wraps, flatbreads and salads. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with a side of what they call "Greek"fries. This is french fries with Parmesan cheese, and garlic seasoning over the top of them. They are pretty good. My only complaint is that the portions of fries you get is fairly small considering my plate cost $14. She ordered a buffalo chicken wrap along with the Greek fries. We always share, so I tasted both. Both were delicious and came out hot and relatively quickly given the crowd that night. The set up in this restaurant is fairly narrow, but it is a really deep building. There is a lot of seating. The place gets pretty loud, at least in the front portion where we sat. They also have a pretty cool outside seating area, which would have been much more quiet, but we visited in the heat and humidity of an August evening.

What a perfect spot for brunch in this area! Our waitress was absolutely amazing! She was on it and hustling the whole time. We ordered bottomless mimosas and our glasses were never empty. The menu had so many good choices, but I ordered the chicken and biscuit and cheese as so happy I did. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the homemade biscuits were to die for. I can't wait to come back here!

I LOVED the food here. Had fried fish tacos with the best salsa verde omg, and the Greek fries are CHEF'S KISS. I didn't love the sweet potato tots which my niece ordered because they were unexpectedly dusted in sugar. Probably good if that's what I had been expecting, but it tasted like a dessert. Our dishes all came out at different times. Five dishes, five different deliveries. Taking off a star for that because it was obnoxious and my poor 9 year old niece got her food 10 minutes after everyone else. But it should be said that that want the servers fault. Madison did a great job!

First visit and I was impressed. My dining partners were, too. We were a group of five celebrating the 34th anniversary of my 29th birthday. It was an early lunch and we choose to sit at a couple of high tops in the bar area. It soon became obvious, that it was a popular lunch location as the bar and the other tables filled up fast. Once we were seated, I shared my Yelp research with my friends and cousins. I told them the Fried Brussels Sprouts were on point and that they were also known for the Sweet Potato Tots. I must of been a good salesman, because we ordered both of them as our appetizers. All five of us raved about the Fried Brussels Sprouts. They were crispy and tossed in a red wine agrodolce. Then topped with both bacon bits and walnuts. I am not a fan of walnuts and I was even impressed with the flavor they added to the sprouts. They offered the tots in a small and large serving. We opted for the small, since we had sprouts and each of us would be having an entree. Small? It was still an ample serving for five adults to share. The tots were crisp on the outside and the inside was warm, soft and creamy. Being Sweet Potato, they were a nice twist to the regular tot. My entree as the Birthday Prince, was Smoke on the Water. It's listed on the menu as an appetizer, but I enjoyed it as an entree. It's dry rubbed and smoked chicken thighs. They were served on top of coleslaw and topped with white BBQ sauce. Absolutely delicious. I ate about two-thirds and took the other 1/3 home for a snack later. Two of the other guest enjoyed the, Wild Mushroom Flatbread and both of them cleaned their plates. The guest who ordered the Pulled Pork Sliders, enjoyed them, but after one, she pulled the meat out and left the buns. As I did with thighs, she really liked the seasoning and dressing on the coleslaw. The final diner celebrating my b-day, is a burger man and really liked his, Petite Foundry Burger with Fries. He's a big athletic type guy and couldn't imagine someone eating the full version as he was stuffed eating a petite. His burger had everything. It was made with house ground chuck and topped with bleu cheese steak butter, balsamic onions, cheddar cheese, bacon, bib lettuce, pickles and tomato. What more could you want on your burger. He claims his fries were crisp and a perfect side. Prior to this lunch, I did some shopping on Main St and still arrived early. While I waited for everyone else, I enjoyed one of their signature cocktails. It was the, Brown Sugar Old Fashioned. Being a regular drinker of Old Fashions, I truly enjoyed this flavorful twist on this classic cocktail. Side note - something I always check for and luckily they had them and that is, Hooks Under the Bar. Jackets or Purses, these hooks always come in handy. Service at the bar and our table was friendly and attentive. We're a crazy group when we get together and our server played along with our silliness. I'll be back? - For, sure. It was a fun experience and good food. When: November 13, 2019 Why: Birthday Lunch with Cousins & Friends

I've tried multiple sauces and cannot pick a favorite, because they all make my tastebuds dance. Pairing the wings up with a cold craft beer and a side of tots makes for a great lunch, a treat for Happy Hour and a super dinner. I am a stickler for the quantity of my flats and drums being the same and GBTH always serves me matching numbers. The wings are always good sized, crispy and meaty. Again, they are the best wings I have had on the Eastside of the Mississippi. This August they are doing, Pawgust. When you buy a craft beer from Alaskan Brewing Co. a $1 from ever beer goes to Gateway Pet Guardians. I drank an extra beer on my last visit and I will make sure to go back a couple more times during August. I like it when I can eat, drink and raise monies for a dog charity all at the same time. I always sit at the bar and the service is attentive and friendly. If the bartenders are friendly, I can only assume the table servers are equally as good. If you want wings and a craft beer, Global Brew is where you need to go.

Getting there and parking: My family, including a pre-teen, met up at Stagger in to visit with a couple of our friends. Parking was a small challenge. There is a large public lot on the same block, but it was full when I got there around 6:20pm on a Wednesday. There is minimal street parking. Luckily, I found a spot after a couple of times around the block. Walking in, you can see right away that it really is a no-frills tavern. There's not even traditional table service, though it's not exactly counter service, either. You sit down, decide what you want from the menu, walk up to the kitchen counter to place your order, and give the ticket the kitchen gives you to your server. However, the menu was much nicer than what I expected, with very fair prices! Appetizers ranged in variety from French fries and wings to fried pickles and spinach artichoke toasted ravioli, with prices ranging from around $4 to $8. Entrees included a variety of sandwiches, salads, and burgers from $4 to $8.50 or so. They even had vegetarian and pescatarian options, including a blackened tuna sandwich and a black beans burger! All three of us, including a picky pescatarian adolescent, found food we enjoyed! Beyond the food, the service staff was friendly and the bar service was adequate. In all, it was a really great place e together up with friends AND bring a kid--at 6:30 on a weeknight, at least! I would very much recommend this place to a group looking for a casual environment with good food at good prices! Atmosphere: Food selection & taste: Service: Price: I'm not sure if would be fair to give 4 starts based on the above, though, because I wasn't to rate it for what it is, not for what something else is. Overall, I give it a 4.5! Vegetarian friendly: yes (lacto-ovo)
