We had a few quotes from other companies, which were all AI generated with no description of what we would actually be receiving. There was no soul behind the quotes or discussions on what we wanted to do. No one seemed to care about putting a personal touch to doing business with us. Then we spoke to Jamie Remelts from Knapp Valley. She showed attention to what we were looking for, explained her vision, and shed light on some information on some existing plants we had in our front yard. She seemed genuinely excited to transform our weed ridden front yard for us. The quote was detailed, explained the gameplan, and was a fair price for what we wanted. They also had a stellar warranty offer on any landscaping done, and even though some of the plants we received are struggling, Jamie has assured us if it comes to it, it will be covered and we can receive replacements if it arises. Anytime we've reached out to Jamie, she has been extremely responsive and timely, and has comforted us on any situations that came up. They accidentally knicked our internet line during the landscaping, causing our internet to go out, and offered to provide a replacement wire until we could get the new internet cable installed. They also came to pick it up, and made things right, and were apologetic about the predicament. I believe what matters most, is not how perfect an experience goes, but how mistakes or issues are resolved. And they really made things right on any issues that popped up. We were told payment would be once the job is complete, but didn't receive the invoice for a few weeks. Payment was easy, we just drove to the main store and talked to the front lobby people. If you are new into gardening/landscaping, I highly recommend Knapp Valley Gardens and to ask for Jamie. It is very exciting to see our plants budding, and I am excited to buy more plants from Knapp Valley Gardens to expand, and get our backyard landscaped in the future. I did not realize how enjoyable it would be to pick weeds out of our yard, and watch plants grow!

What I perceived as a customer service complaint the owner perceived as hostile environment for his workers. First day was the foreman and a worker, the worker I was watching in the backyard he approached the flower beds with an attitude throwing his hand at the beds moving to another without fully weeding. He hated what he was doing for $50. an hour I expect someone who loves what he is doing. I told the foreman quit at 11:00 when they arrived at 8:30. The worker quit at 10:15 and went out to the truck brushed off and was just standing there, my whole backyard looked horrible half ass. I opened the front door and yelled to him I was paying till 11:00 am. He went to the backyard and was ripping the weeds with both hands breaking them in half throwing them all over the grass along the length of the bed. He now was displaying a temper tantrum. This is what I'm paying for? I had a new team the next visit I told them to work till 11:00 he said I take my break at 10:00 he came back at 10:15 worked till 10:30 and left they were gone! My last team was a lady solo. She was doing an excellent job moving along the backyard quickly and throughly. I went out to tell her she was doing an excellent job. I went out to tell her I had to be to a funeral at 10:00 and I would be leaving. She said "I'm about done and I will be leaving shortly" I get my bill and she charged me an additional 1 1/2 how can that be when she was about done with the yard. So I call the office to complain I have had it at this point, I find out the first worker quit after the first visit and they listened to my complaint and they would have someone call me back. Well that first foreman called me back told me they would not be servicing me anymore because I'm not the right fit for them. i couldn't believe what he was saying, all I wanted was good customer service. I asked for Mike the owner to call me after all we have had a good working relationship for a couple decades on many projects in my yards I have had through the years and I have never complained once! And I spent several thousands of dollars. What I heard from Mike I couldn't believe he said it's another world out there and he has to side with his workers because it's hard to keep good help. So basically customer service meant nothing and my years of loyalty and money meant nothing. I'm a person who worked in a factory with 2 (15) minute breaks in 8 hours standing on cement floors mentality till I was 59. Now we have to coddle 20 year olds or they quit.

The actual install time was impressive -- a two-man crew completed my 288 feet of gutters in one day, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the overall experience left me frustrated. From the beginning, communication was inconsistent. My sales rep was late to the estimate appointment with the schedule that kept getting pushed back. While he did offer a discount for the inconvenience, the pricing was still higher than other quotes I received, but I chose this company because I trusted the professionalism and quality they advertised. The finished product had several details that felt rushed or poorly thought out. Some downspouts looked awkward and out of place, extending over sidewalks or into flower beds in ways that didn't seem properly planned. To the crew's credit, when I pointed issues out they did make adjustments, but I felt like I had to constantly micromanage the project to get things corrected instead of things being done right the first time. One of my biggest frustrations was the lack of communication during the install. Decisions were made on parts of the project that were never discussed with me beforehand. I did speak with the sales rep afterward about my concerns, but getting clear answers and resolutions felt like pulling teeth. There also was never any final walkthrough after completion. I found metal scraps and debris throughout my driveway and yard afterward, which was disappointing and could have caused damage or injury if I hadn't cleaned it up myself with a magnet. Overall, the gutters function, and there were parts of the experience that were positive, but for the price paid and the reputation of the company, I expected much better communication, attention to detail, and professionalism from start to finish.

I have no problem giving a 5 star review for this carpet installation but this could have easily…read morebeen a 2-3 star review if not for Sharee and the people at Floor Coverings International (FCI). The initial home consultation with Paul was great. He had tons of samples and showed us many options and gave recommendations based on our needs. There was never any pressure to buy and he spent quite a bit of time going over the whole process and answering all our questions and concerns. We decided a few days later to go with FCI based on our meeting and the fact that their prices were competitive with the other quotes we received. Then things turned South. We were told it would take about 2-4 weeks to get the carpet from the factory. After a month, they contacted us and said that the factory was still back ordered and it would be another month. They were very apologetic and ended up removing the cost of moving the furniture from our bill. The carpet order finally arrived and we were set up for an install on November 3rd. The installers came out and had most of the old carpet ripped out and the new carpet pad laid and started to bring in the new carpet. They started to unroll the carpet and lo-and-behold - not the carpet I ordered! I took pictures and called Erick and explained the situation. He was very sympathetic to our situation and even offered a good discount on this carpet if that was an option for us. It was a nice carpet but we were set on getting the carpet we ordered so declined the offer. We had to live for a month on our 1st floor with only carpet pads for flooring. Not fun! They reordered the carpet and installed it on December 5th. The installation went without a hitch and the carpet looks great. Here's the best part. Sharee negotiated with Shaw Carpets and got them to pay for half of the cost of the carpet. Even though this whole situation had nothing to do with the people at FCI, they offered to cover the cost of the other half. How great is that? Would I recommend this company to my friends and family? You bet! If I need more carpet or flooring in the future you can be sure that they'll be the first ones I call. Thanks Sharee and Erick!
