Accurate rating description for two starts is "could've been better." This place only has PA/NP…read moreand no MD on site. They have the capability to draw blood and send to lab for stat orders. Unfortunately, what they lack ends up a longer list. The first MA was unable to get a vial of blood and said someone else would try on my other arm with a straight needed (vs butterfly). She left me without even putting a bandaid on the arm she poked and I had to struggle to put the bandaid on one handed while still maintaining pressure on it. Next MA comes and draws blood and when she's done she yelps I don't have a cotton ball (to put on the vein she just drew out of) and my blood is just pooling while she puts a bandaid on. Luckily I'm well versed enough to know I needed to put pressure on my bandaid. The NP who saw me was new to (per the MA) she really didn't put my mind at ease. Her expertise and knowledge seemed lacking based on the answers to my questions. First thing she asked me was, why are you here and not the ER? I told her my PCP sent me here because she didn't feel it necessitated a ER visit. She wanted me to be evaluated by YOU to assess and in your medical opinion, do I need to be seen further or what course of action next? She swabbed me for flu and covid and I verbally questioned her because I had isolated severe GI symptoms. She said sometimes those present wither GI only. Does it? I don't know, I'm not an MD but I'm also someone who works in healthcare and it didn't feel like the proper procedure. When I asked if she would be ordering any stool samples, I heard through my closed door "do we do that?". Ok, she's new, I'll give her that...but she comes back in and says "if you'd like to have the order for stool testing I'm happy to give that to you." Am I the md or am I the patient? I came here for your professional medical opinion! Do I?! So after I kindly communicated that I am looking to her for her opinion as the expert whether or not my symptoms necessitate an order, she still doesn't quite give me a direct answer! I haven't been to that many urgent cares, but I've come to see a trend that many of the urgent cares that are owned by a company with multiple locations don't have MD's on staff physically there. That said, I've also noticed the trend that many provide sub-par care.

The front desk staff were unprofessional and unhelpful, and my attempts to seek clarification or assistance were not addressed. One receptionist, in particular, spoke to patients in a disrespectful manner. In addition, there appeared to be frequent gossiping between reception staff and a phlebotomist, which contributed to an unprofessional environment. The waiting room was overcrowded, and there did not appear to be an appropriate sense of urgency in assisting patients. The overall atmosphere created unnecessary stress and made the environment feel disorganized and unsafe. Experiences like this can discourage patients from seeking care and undermine confidence in the quality of service. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve patient care and professionalism at this location.

1045 am, October 02,2025…read more I pulled in the medical plaza thinking I was barely making my appointment and looking for a parking spot! I found a couple but it was for the building next door. I proceeded to park in the spot thinking I was going to be in and out of here! Oh no, was I wrong. The LabCorp was packed! And then I checked my appointment time... Holy cow! I'm an hour early. Phew... I rush back out and decided to move my car. I did not want to be towed. So, your options for parking are 1) Parking structure, 1st 30 minutes free, beyond is $1.5/30 minutes. 2) There's street parking available on Valencia Mesa. Short walk to the building. I do the express check-in via the mobile text received but also at their kiosk as I wasn't sure the phone method worked. At the kiosk, you'll need to scan your DL. All checked in, it said that I can go wait elsewhere that I'm comfortable. Heck yes, get me out of that cramped waiting area. Ridiculous... I'm sitting on the bench just outside of the building entrance doors writing this review. It's much nicer out here with fresh air. Getting nervous, ten minutes past the appointment time... Ooh, the text messaging worked but back to the receptionist to confirm information and lab orders. Back to waiting again for next available phlebotomist. This waiting room is way too small, way too many people. Finally, I get called, 30 minutes past the appointment time! I'm not surprised. SMH. The phlebotomist is nice, however, I judge them on their skills for drawing blood. I will let this experience slide... WTF are you going to do? She couldn't find a vein, I guess I need to chop off the defective left arm! Haha! She asked to use the other arm, how kind that she asked. As I said, what are you going to do? Reschedule? Hell no! My time is valuable, #JUSTDOIT. She was able to get the vials done. Her wrap on the left arm comes undone and unravels. C'mon now. Greenhorn, a little inexperienced, or just cheap not using enough stretch bandage?? All done except she presents me the little cup for the sample! Haha, fine, this one is no problem! If you are unfamiliar with location, I highly recommend you go to a larger location or at least call to talk to one of the staffers to ask about their slow and busy times. I know this area so parking on the street isn't an issue. I've never experienced such a busy and tiny LabCorp location. Even the phlebotomist said it's their smallest location in the area. Oy vey... My phlebotomist did her best to care for me, she was gentle, but strike one was the big miss. Strike two was not bandaging properly. These are on her. The facility is too small for my liking. I'd choose another location and will only return if I had no other options.

715 am, Saturday, May 16, 2026…read more I came an hour early to the Quest Lab to find out if they'd take me early before my appointment time as a walk-in. Not sure if it'll happen as I already have the standing appointment. The self service kiosk is easy to use, there are four machines near the entrance. Plenty of parking spaces here at the medical plaza. There's a constant arrival of patients, so not likely to be seen earlier than the appointment time. I have no idea when walk-ins would be seen as appointments have priority. I don't recommend trying to get here any earlier than ten minutes. The restrooms are clean, however, there's no wall mounted soap dispenser. That's such a big miss! Super silly having that gallon sized pump hand soap on the cabinet away from the sink. The hand dryer works well, there are no paper towels. This one is weird too, I was given a small plastic double Dixie cup with lid instead of the medical grade plastic urine collection cup. Hmm... Not sure if that was because I had to go before she had a jar ready and labeled. My phlebotomist was professional, yes. But she wasn't as good as the other one I had previously. All I care about is that they're able to collect the blood sample on the first insertion of the needle. Don't miss! Haha.

There are so…read moremany bad urgent care reviews out there, but luckily Sunny Hills is the closest one to me that was in-network has very good reviews. They are located in downtown Fullerton, right on the corner of Commonwealth Avenue and Pomona Avenue. There is plenty of parking with one lot just south of their offices by the bus stops, and a larger lot just to the west. I chose to park in the free parking garage on Pomona and Santa Fe so my car would be in the shade. Their website is very good, and allows booking an appointment without having to call in. They seem to have very good availability, and I was able to book an appointment only 30 minutes away from the current time. They are also open from 8am to 8pm seven days a week which is great. After selecting a time, answering some basic questions about the reason for my visit, and uploading photos of my insurance card and ID (driver's license), my appointment was booked. This process took less than five minutes. I was a new patient so I assume I only have to do this once. Once my appointment was booked, they texted me a link with a few more medical questions. The whole process took less than ten minutes, and booking future appointments should be much faster with all of my info now in their system. When I arrived, I just had had to check-in and pay my co-pay which took less than thirty seconds. The waiting room was very clean and has sixteen chairs. There were three other parties waiting, but I was called back to an exam room in only about five minutes. The exam room was also very clean and modern. I didn't catch his name, but the provider's assistant was very friendly and professional. I was in for a sore throat, so after checking all of my vitals, he also swabbed my throat to run a rapid test for strep. He left the room and said once the results were in, the provider would be in to see me. About ten minutes later, nurse practitioner Kim arrived. The test for strep throat was negative, but after examining me, she said I had a pretty nasty sore throat that was very red and inflamed. She offered to prescribe me an antibiotic even though the test was negative, and I agreed to give it a try. She also told me some things I could do to help it, most of which I was already doing. She was also very friendly and professional. I was in and out in a little over 20 minutes. Hopefully it will be a long time before I have to return, but I'm happy to have found a good urgent care center I can go back to without hesitation when needed.

I paid up front over Venmo, feeling comfortable with it because of his good reputation on here. And indeed he did not disappoint. Andre showed up to my house exactly on time. He went over the instructions of the kit for the test I was having done, and already knew what to expect. He asked the right questions - "Are there ice packs with this one?" "Does it need to be centrifuged?" He was even such a pro he knew which cabinet door held my garbage can without looking. The poke itself was right on the money, nearly painless, and without complication. He took the kit with him to do the postal dropoff himself - it was included with his services. One less thing for me to have to do, which was appreciated. We shook hands, said goodbye, and that was that. He did not solicit me for a Yelp review. A lot of service providers will offer deals to customers in hopes of scamming their way into a good review - it's a red flag whenever I see it and it makes me mad for having wasted time reading reviews that were essentially bought. But Andre didn't do that at all, which is why I immediately got on my computer to write him a review anyway. He earned his reviews by being good at what he does. I'd use him again anytime.

Unlike other facilities, run by competent companies, the Fullerton facility was not conducive to a comfortable sleep test. Furthermore, communication with the tech was initiated by, at his direction, knocking on my headboard rather than through an intercom. But worse than the foregoing, the tech was incompetent and non-responsive to my requests. Specifically, 1) the tech had no control of the room temperature. At 10:00 pm, the room temp was approximately 68 degrees and comfortable. However, the room temperature kept dropping until it was appropriately 60. I told the tech I needed a blanket -- 2 1/2 hours later he provided one. 2) As a 20 year user of a CPAP machine, I know that inclusion of humidity for CPAP is necessary to prevent sinuses from becoming painfully dry. The tech claimed that most people do not use a humidifier -- this is a blatantly untrue. My sinuses became painful, and sleep was extremely difficult. At approximately 5:00 am I pulled off the mask and notified the tech that sleep was no longer possible. 3) The tech spent 30 minutes, beyond normal setup time, trying to find a problem with a sensor wire (his comment and actions indicated he had been working in the wrong sensor). 4) After starting the test I had to notify him that his pressure setting seemed low. He could not have been monitoring my oxygen level -- he set it at a level that was 1/2 of my normal setting, and made no adjustment until I told him he needed to increase pressure. That is the epitome of incompetence. In summary, the facility is not properly equipped, and the tech was incompetent.
