But three things made it really stand out: 1) The owner Rob and I traded about a half-dozen messages on Facebook about issues I was looking for, and when I showed up two days later, voila, there they were. This guy had no guarantee that I'd be showing up, but he still held onto my books for me. 2) Rob asked me where my LCS was and I told him Duncanville Bookstore (about a 5 hour drive away), and he told me that he knew the owner Andy and that he'd helped Andy out at a past show out of town. Just says a lot about how devoted he is to the comic shop community. 3. He was tossing out a few damaged and coverless books and I asked if I could have them for my wife who is an elementary librarian. Not only did he give me those, but then he grabbed about 30 age-appropriate books from FCBD for me to give to her to use. I feel bad that I can't remember the name of the fellow who was running the register, but he was just as friendly as Rob. I'll certainly do business here again the next time I'm in town.

Overall bad experience. Went in for a simple speaker replacement and they ended up breaking my…read morescreen which previously never had any damage. They then replaced it with what the manager later called "their cheapest screen", which was terrible! The colors were off and the screen would freeze and stop working until I reset my phone. I had to keep the screen for 6 days so I was basically without a phone. They didn't offer a partial refund or discount or anything. They said they're actually doing me a favor because the screen they were replacing (that they broke in the first place) was top of the line and expensive. WILL DEFINITELY NEVER USE EXPERTECH AGAIN!

I came across a copy of Hoobastank's first album and bought it without much thought. It was $6, honestly a bit high, but I like that album. The staff member helping me was great and went above and beyond. They didn't have much else I was looking for, and records aren't really my thing. Since then I've put photography down, and recently really picked it back up again as a way to catalog my love of nature. The store has moved, as mentioned, and expanded into a larger space, even with a rentable studio next door. They do occasional events bringing in brand reps and doing used equipment buys for additional store credit. The pricing here is equivalent to what you can find at popular online camera and electronics stores for the new items. For used gear that they resell, the prices are very reasonable. They carry mostly the big name brands: Sony, Nikon, Canon, and Fujifilm. Lots of accessories like filters, tripods, bags, straps, memory cards, and more. Plus they run an entire high quality print shop. They still sell film and will process it too, though they only do mail off processing. And they're still one of my favorite stores in town.
