Pretty cool store! This was my first time in one. I e seen them before but never went in. They sell a lot of records, DVD's, books and more. It appears as though you can sell your items or trade them. My daughter bought two comic books. I just looked around although I saw a record I wanted. I have 5 that I've bought since being in TX. This review is mostly a copy of another review of a different location for this exact same chain store. As a bit of a lifelong closeted fantasy and pop culture fan, I love that this store has come along. I just wish it had been around when I was a teen. This store (and any location, really) is fully loaded. I'm going to let this review be taken over by a huge list here that still doesn't capture everything. - tarot and oracle decks and books - spellbooks, metaphysical, witchcraft, runes - goblets, mugs, candles, sage, palo santo, incense, wind chimes, crystals - buttons, pins, keychains, jewelry, stickers - vinyl and CDs, used and new, and players - musical instruments (ukuleles, guitars, and more) - t-shirts, hats, backpacks, and socks - pop toys, squish mallows, stuffed animals - audio books and movie DVDs - majority of the store is books of all kinds - always worth a look at the clearance section - puzzles, board games, tabletop trading card games like MTG and Pokemon - children's toys, Legos, Nerf, action figures - calendars, planners, journals, inspirational wall hangings - manga, anime, comics (DC, Marvel, and more) - video games for all systems current and past - Fred and Kikkerland knickknacks - mystery mini boxes, pouches, gaccha collectibles - antique/linen postcards - fantasy dragon and fairy statues - fandom specific collectibles (Harry Potter, Disney, and more) The store seems in constant disarray simply from the fact that there is so much variety. Literally nothing is fully alphabetized, and asking someone to look up an item you're searching for is mostly pointless beyond them being able to tell you it's most likely "somewhere" in the store. This is my biggest gripe here. However, if you're accustomed to searching through piles of random objects at places like thrift stores and secondhand stores, you may enjoy going on the hunt at this store too. They buy an array of pre-owned items here too. But worth noting that if you sell here in the morning then realize you forgot something and come back, they will not buy from you again in the same day. They lose stars for that inconvenience factor, too. I would imagine that based on need, they will buy anything that they would sell. I've personally sold Magic the Gathering cards here before. Value given in store credit is higher than cash, but be prepared to feel ripped off either way. Prices on used items are decent, but on new it can often be huge compared to buying online ($60 vs $35 in one instance). This is otherwise a great store to burn time in reading and browsing. read more

Great selection of books and the atmosphere is terrific. I come here every six months or so from Big Spring.

This isn't the place to go if you're looking for something specific and not currently popular, but if you're willing to browse a bit and get to know the layout, they've got a lot of reasonably-priced options. Some stuff is stocked new, though, and priced accordingly -- including most records and graphic novels, plus the latest TikTok trends and YA fiction. Staff and atmosphere are always great. read more

The store itself is cool, I love the selection of items you can find in store. I did try to sell today for the first time and the process started off promising but then it took over an hour of waiting. When I asked how much longer for my buy, it had been ready I just never received a text. I expected more $ for the items I brought as well. With how long I waited and the amount I got back I will not be selling here again nor do I recommend selling here. read more

If you want a place that marks up everything you can find online at an astronomical price then go here. The prices of even the most minuscule items ranges from 15-300 dollars. And when I say 15 I mean a 1"x1" plushie will cost you 15 while a pikachu pillow will be near 56.00 and not even a full size. Go only for second hand products. Which are still slightly out of the price they should be for used. Don't waste your time like my family and I did just go to Amazon read more

Customer service is horrible! They are very rude and act like it's such an inconvenience to get up and to checkout.

I found this used bookstore by accident today and am so glad! I have just moved to the area and was hoping for a Half Price Books. This is even better! They have a bunch of books at great prices and lots of cool gifts and other things for sale. A Baby Yoda door mat? Yes! A bible carrying case? Yes! Cool posters to hang in your wall? Yes! I will be back to this fun bookstore soon I'm sure! read more

Cool store! Books? They got it. Vinyl? Yep. Games, memorabilia, DVD, CDs? All of the above. They have some toys and collectibles and a good sized kid's section, too. This is one of our favorite stores! Employees are helpful and friendly when we have been in, even carrying a grab box to the car for me without having to ask for help. read more

Horrible customer service! Tried to return an Edgar Allan Poe collection book of his tales that I bought less than two weeks old and yeah I foolishly shredded the receipt thinking I was going to keep the book when I found another one somewhere else with the same tales plus added poems. When I entered the store, it took a minute for the clerk to look up and see myself standing there waiting and then when she finally got up and came over, I honestly explained why I didn't have the receipt. She refused the return without a receipt. I said I would gladly take store credit and purchase something else - she even refused me store credit too! - even with the book having their sticker price label on it. I won't be back for sure! read more

It's 4 Stars in relation to the store (selection, uniqueness, presentation), but it's 0 Stars for the employees. I don't mean to be harsh, and maybe it was just a bad day, but they seem to have perfected being completely unfriendly without actually being rude. Sort of an ubiquitous sourness that really put me off to 2nd & Charles. (I hope I'm wrong, you almost get the impression they've been told the store is going out of business or something, so why should they care?) I want to support something other than Amazon but it gets harder and harder. read more

Excellent selection, but poor service. They had a stack of books on a $10 table, but when a book didn't ring up that way they told me it was misplaced (yes--the entire stack) and then, instead of moving the misplaced books they just took the $10 sign down. read more

-Overall a great store! if you're wanting to spend some time looking around you'll be sure to find something interesting. There's a ton of things to look at from manga to used postcards..they really do have it all. It's very similar to Hastings (RIP) for those who know of that chain of stores. -If you're looking to sell items, I wouldn't recommend it, I've made more money by selling off FB and Craigslist. But if you need a quick buck they are always buying items such as books, CD's, and video games. read more
