I then personally called about 15 tow companies with no answer or out of service numbers. I finally came in contact with Official Towing. The friendly voice on the other side of the line finally gave me my first spec of Hope. The operator asked how I was doing, asked about what happened and really cared about my situation. He even provided safety instructions to follow and said not to get out of the car. Within about 15 minutes, Jeff came to my rescue and got me and my vehicle off of the highway to safety. He took me about 2 miles away to an auto shop and he actually figured out what was wrong with my vehicle and fixed it right then and there. From there, I didn't even have to leave my vehicle to be fixed. I was able to drive home. Jeff was extremely friendly and did his job above and beyond. I can never thank him enough. An amazing guy. It was reasonably priced at $170.00 for the tow but the experience was priceless. Jeff saved me hundreds if not thousands I would have spent at the auto shop. Great people from start to finish, I recommend them 10/10.

However, after providing a very specific location at an intersection in my subdivision ( I pushed my car off the main road to a specific corner, five blocks from my house), I was repeatedly asked about the specific address of pickup for billing purposes. I couldn't provide an exact addres, but I volunteered an estimated address, since I knew I was on a similar east-west coordinate, and my own address was provided as well. The dispatch hung up on me, after insisting that the address was necessary for billing, and I said that I didn't care about the cost, I pretty much knew the cost in advance, and that an additional block for a 5 block tow would not significantly change the cos, I just wanted an 'F ing tow. exasperated, as I was. I called back to complain 15 minutes later, discussing the unacceptable situation with a person who claimed that they were not the same person I had talked to 15 minutes earlier. I wanted it to be known that people who are calling for tows are not in good situation and frames of mind, and I had already moved on to a different company for my tow, but I would definitely have a conversation with someone in charg. I had no idea what was wrong with my car. I explained the issue to the tow driver, who arrived in about an hour's time. He didn't offer any solutions or suggestions, but I was still grateful for his professionalism and timeliness. He also allowed me to ride with him to my home - which was supremely valuable.
