My father passed away and we needed to hire someone to help clean up the outside of the place so we could get the home on the market. He provided us with a list of services and then spent months texting us that he would be at the property next week, "oh it's raining in VA", and also telling us that tasks were complete when they were not. When we made a trip to VA to verify, and when we called Ace to ask for a refund, he proceeded to scream, cuss and tell my husband to drive to VA to fight him. Ace proved to be nothing more than an untrustworthy scavenger. DO NOT pay more than 50% up front. We were between a rock & a hard place, so when he required payment of 100% up front, we trusted him to do the job and paid up. We lost $4,350 to this man. BEWARE.

They didn't try to over-sell us but helped us make sure that even some of the original work was properly weatherproofed and ready for the next 30 years or more. Both install teams were super aware of their surroundings to the degree that they even watched their language when my kids were around without my asking anything. VERY attentive and answered all of the questions I had both on install and continued care of the new windows. After they finished, we noticed an immediate difference with the lack of outside noise from the new windows and the next morning were able to feel a marked difference in temperature from sunlight pouring into a few of the rooms that get hit with the hottest sun. Looking forward to the savings in our utility bills in the coming months. Thanks so much Window Depot USA of Richmond!

RUN. RUN FAR AWAY…read more Our job was straightforward. We wanted to grade part of our lawn to make it more usable. It involved building a retaining wall, adding a downspout to help with drainage away from our house, bringing in dirt, and putting sod on top. We were told the job would take 3 days. It has been 3 months of hell, and the project now requires hiring someone new and restarting essentially from scratch. Corbett (owner of S&S property maintenance) has failed every step of the way. He broke one of our irrigation lines, he did not originally bring in enough dirt to grade our lawn to the agreed upon height, he buried two sprinkler heads and did not correctly compress the dirt which resulted in portions of the lawn sinking. We just found out that the wall was installed improperly and needs to be completely ripped out. Corbett agreed to make it right, but since the project needs to be restarted from scratch - the wall needs to be re-installed, we need more dirt and it compressed correctly, and we will need to regrow all of the grass - we are making the decision we should have made a long time ago: to find someone new. Best of luck to anyone that wants to work with Corbett. You are signing up for a full-time job checking and rechecking his work, hundreds of text messages, and endless phone calls trying to get him to complete a job that in the end might need to be restarted. I strongly suggest that you avoid the hassle and find someone else.

We contracted with them to install 18 windows Even though this wasn't our lowest estimate, we were so impressed with Mr Kemp and his sales presentation, and he assured us he used his own installers, not a sub-contractor. We had several red flags during installation, and with a little pushing, all was well. Until the installation was finished and we had a brown, ugly substance running down our white siding from several of our new windows. The same substance was also on various places around the outside of our home and on several of the new frames. That's when we saw the other side of Mr Kemp. After 6 months of lies and broken promise and ignoring us , it took a "threatening " type letter to get things moving. Amazingly, he was able to match our siding in 1 1/2 hours, although he had "tried" for over 6 months. Our windows were installed on April 20, 2022, and the stained siding was replaced on November 8,2022. They completed the job in one day in 2012. My house was gas powered for heat and electric for AC. In December 2015, the boiler died after 25 years. The day before the big 3 day snow storm, my hot water heater died. Kennon met me at Home Depot to pick out a new tank, followed me home and had it installed that night before the storm hit. The morning of the storm, he personally came to my house to make sure it was working before snow started falling. I can't recommend his company more highly.
