In the last year, my wife and I have replaced our adjoining chimney, our roof, several appliances, and have more work to do. Our roof and chimney were nearly 100 years old (no, I'm not lying) and it was leaking. Another contractor butchered to the point that it needed to be completely replaced immediately. Due to the leaks, we hired Chasen to fix the interior damage. So we've been through enough contractors to make your head spin. We know they aren't perfect. But we've got to get stuff done, because our first child will be here in just over three months. Jason - our contact - has been, up until the point the job was complete, very attentive and happy to help. The day the project ended? He won't email me back (which has been our primary mode of conversation). I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, since I work nights and he works days, but it doesn't put up a good appearance. So why was I contacting him? After numerous other issues (which I'll go into momentarily, many of which were resolved quickly earlier in the week), the paint work was incomplete. New drywall that was put up was clearly visible through the paint. It's like no primer was ever applied. But this job could have been done for half the price through another contractor. Walls that were promised to be painted in full (by Jason) were only painted in repair areas and matched. Vents and doorways that were supposed to be sealed were left wide open (contrary to their lead paint guides). Paint got all over the wood floor upstairs and, somehow, even on the wall of the bathroom. They didn't even put a tarp down in the kitchen when they did work, so paint, plaster, and drywall dust (and who knows what else) got into our cabinets, drawers, and even my birthday brownies my wife made me a few days earlier. RIP slutty brownies (a sugary delight - look it up!). I contacted Jason on Tuesday and he made them clean up and cover vents on Wednesday, but, by that point, it didn't even matter. Lastly, this was a 2.5 day job that took almost 4. They've not communicated any reasonable reason why it took longer, and the work still, IMO, isn't done. If Chasen decides to get back to me or my wife and fixes the paint, I'll happily bump up the stars. And most of their work was good. But, for the price; and what they promised, they didn't deliver the full package.

It took several months before they finally approved the window replacement. LEI sent the new window to their warehouse in September 2025 and told me to pick it up. I have no idea how to install a picture window so I called Mohamed Mustafa, my original sales rep, and he assured me that his team would pick up the window and come out and install it for me (for around $250-$300 since labor is not included in the warranty). I have called Mohamed nearly every week ever since. Many times he doesn't answer but when he does answer he always assures me that he is on it, that he is about to have a meeting with his team and will call me back to schedule - he never calls me back. I have not been able to get him on the phone since just before Thanksgiving. It is now January 8, 2026 and I still don't have an install date and at my wits end. Getting a replacement window when there is a product failure should not be this difficult or time consuming. If/when they resolve it, I will update this review. In the meantime, I would NOT recommend you do business with this company.

Halfway through the project, the company backed out of replacing 4 of the windows I had ordered for my sunroom and the windows in my sunroom that were replaced leaked water immediately the day after they were installed. And they still leak to this day because LEI refuses to take any responsibility. The customer service was terrible because I was constantly calling them for months to try to get answers and get help, and they would always say "I'll give you a call back on that" and I would never hear from them unless I called back over and over. After 4 months of calling, they decided they were not responsible- leaving me to pay full price for windows that leak every single time it rains and water damage in inside my home. Please consider using other companies other than LEI Home Enhancements

I sent over photos of where I was at in clearing the yard myself and I was given a quote from them with the start date of the coming up Tuesday. I told them I was planning to do more work the next day (Sunday) and asked if I could send updated photos for a new quote after I finished for the day, since they weren't starting until Tuesday, and I was told yes. I was also told they would come to my house and look at the job on that coming up Monday, the day before the job was to take place. I message that Monday evening to see if this took place and I was given a new quote in which I agreed to, with the job still being Tuesday. Come Tuesday, they showed up and said they could not complete the job as it was too large and would take too long. This company clearly does hold their word and it turns out that no one actually came out to my house on that Monday before I was given the new quote, they just based it on my second set of photos I sent. This is 100% their error and they should still have follow through on our agreement but they won't.

Extremely communicative and reasonable competitive pricing. Long: Had a roofing leak into my kitchen - they came out the same day to look and after assessing took the time to meet me at the roof to talk me through his thought process of necessary work - pointing to areas of concern. He tried to save me money by calling an outside consult just to make sure we couldn't get by with a smaller repair. Ultimately he was concerned about leaks/rot beneath my EPDM membrane. Work: Removal and reinstallation of my patio deck, stripping all rotten wood, and replacement with new wood/EPDM membrane. Thankfully I could pop my head in upstairs just to watch every once in a while and loved what I saw - if the material wasn't quite aligned it was cut until it fit appropriately. If there was ANY rot they took care of it. They aligned my neighbors roof and mine (townhouse). In one case, a screw wasn't exactly right and there was 1mm of movement so they screwed in a second screw to make sure it was tight. All of these attentions to detail was in areas I would never have noticed if I just saw the final product. They care and in fact left every aspect of my roof better than before (including making sure my patio wasn't loose as it was before which wasn't even part of their job).

There is an indentation in the roof called a pitch pocket that the A/C lines run through and these fellows thought the way to repair the leak was to fill it with hot tar and POUR THE EXCESS INTO MY BUILT-IN GUTTERS! After having to replace the two-story downspout filled with old tar and repair the blown out built-in gutter, I called the owner who said, "We never use hot tar." Allen's men identified the issue, repaired it and I haven't had a leak for three years! Also had a sinking kitchen floor in my 100 year-old house. Probably caused by the Jenn-Air I installed in an island in the former dining room and then added a big refrigerator. Allen's men knew exactly what the problem was, crawled under the house, carefully jacked the floor back to level while another man was laying on the floor being kissed by my dog. They have also thoroughly looked at a problem roof for a client Great diagnosed the issues with photographs and made smart recommendations for repairs. Also looked at a mold issue a client had and, again offered smart solutions. I highly recommend them.

Our experience: 1)…read more Took us nearly a month just to get any information on payment options because we were told there were "zero interest" options. When we finally heard back they said "oh, there's a finance charge for zero interest" 2) Pushed back the start date by nearly two weeks. When they finally showed up, they just hung out in our driveway for an entire afternoon and said "we'll start tomorrow" 3) Their crews are small and slow. Took a week to finish the siding for a one bedroom, 1100 square foot house. I'd guess it would take 2-3 weeks for a regular sizes home where most crews complete jobs for our sized home in 2 days, tops. 4) Didn't order enough product and had to come back two weeks later to finish it. Didn't cover the unfinished area and it rained a ton -- now hiring a company to come and inspect the work since it definitely will have moisture issues 5) Left a giant dumpster in our driveway for almost two weeks after the main job and cleanup was finished, and for a week after they finally completed the last small part.
