This park in east Miramar was named in honor of former Miramar City Commissioner A. Joseph Forzano and his wife Mary Forzano who also served as City Commissioner. The couple moved to Miramar in 1967. Joseph passed away in 1975 and upon his death Mary ran for and won the seat of her husband on Miramar's City Council. Mary passed away in 2019.
Forzano Park feels like two parks. On one side is fields for soccer and football with a restroom and concession stands. The restroom was very clean and even had Dyson airblades to dry your hands which is a nice upgrade. On the other side is six sand volleyball courts, a playground, and shelter pavilion.
The park isn't very exciting unless you come to play sports. The playground could really use an update but a new $400,000 multi purpose recreational facility is about to open in the park. Forza\no Park is best suited for the Miramar youth athletic leagues. read more
