Its approach is comprehensive: 100 % supervised, full-body regimens with personalized modifications and progress tracking. I've tried different systems for strength-training in gyms and on my own, but none gave me the results I've seen and felt in the past year. I am the most physically fit I've been in my life, and I relish the boost in my mental and emotional health from every session. Plus, I've never experienced difficulty finding or rescheduling sessions to work for me, so I've found it easy to keep the habit going. The community is unexpectedly wonderful as well. I enjoy the intergenerational semi-private group sessions and the relationships I build with other members. The spirit created is non-competitive, calm, friendly, and light-hearted. There's no intimidation. Edward, Giancarlo, and Felice are fantastic trainers. I feel amazed that I continue to learn something new about a workout, strategy, machine, muscle function, etc. at every single session. These three know their subject. They are kind, patient, and engaging with me and other members across gender identities, ages, and other demographics. I finished my rehabilitation in 2025. But, I continue my membership at Strength for Life and highly recommend them. Sure, I benefit from addressing issues that arise in other body parts. But more importantly, the program excels at meeting my weekly strength-training needs and giving me the other outcomes I detail above. P.S. The organization doesn't market or post on social media much, and the website is no longer running. I contacted the team using the phone number provided.

Dylan and Steve both helped me and have pushed me to be were I want to be ! When I started here I was in a workout rut. ( attending a local gym ; having no idea how to use machines, or how to get in shape). I came here for a free consultation to figure out what needed to be done !! I now attend the semi-private training classes and come weekly ! It is affordable and just what I needed to get and stay in shape ! They also have yoga and massage at the facility ! Both extremely helpful after workouts !

There's so much more knowledge in exercise science/physiology, to which I am eager to learn and apply. Thus, Warlock is a great new gym for Crossfit and Yoga. The trainers are so knowledgeable, and equally challenge and educate me each workout. The gym is atypical, so if you're expecting amenities other than than top equipment, perhaps Golds or Crunch would be better. This gym has top of the line Rogue equipment, in a setting that is conducive to a great workout. In other words, show up ready to work out with your trainer and other crossfitters. There's a bathroom and some cubbies for your things, but plan on showering elsewhere. I'm new to the Crossfit environment, and Erik and Chris, the owners, have allayed any fears I had about hurting myself, and squashed any stereotypes I associated with Crossfitters. There's no key tag or sign in. Everyone knows you, and you just show up for your class. There's a workout on the board, so if your familiar with WODs, then your all set. If you're like me, a beginner, Erik takes the time to scale the workout and teach you the correct form to improve each week. I opted for the charter membership, which gives me unlimited classes throughout the year, including yoga. I'm hopeful that they'll also include mobility classes too. If you read this before November 1st, you can still sign up for that plan! In sum, I'll admit that I was close minded towards Crossfit, Crossfitters, and the stereotypes/ lifestyle associated with it. It isn't like that at all... It's what you make it and I'm happy I gave it a try. Warlock is for those 18 and up only (at the moment). Also, the music is phenomenal...

Planet Fitness and its LaGrange, NY franchise in particular are perfect examples of a company whose…read moremission statements pay lip service to ideas like diversity, equity and inclusion, but in truth doesn't care at all about these things. Approximately 15 to 30 percent of the US population (52 to 103 million people) suffers from high sensitivity to stimuli like noise, light, and emotions, yet every Planet Fitness I've gone into (especially the LaGrange, NY franchise) has dozens of TVs playing a cacophony of news and other stations, and the music is SO LOUD that you, the gym member, can't even block it out with expensive noise-cancelling headphones. I joined Planet Fitness the first time in the summer of 2024 and endured the excessive stimuli for a year. During this period, I repeatedly requested the music be turned down (especially at 4-5 a.m.; seriously!?), and sometimes the desk person accomodated me, sometimes he didn't. A week ago, I joined again, thinking (stupid me) that they might have listened to my and other members' complaints about the excessive stimuli and made some changes. They hadn't. In fact, they are now playing the music SO LOUD that I can't even block it out with $400 headphones. People like me want to work out to REDUCE stress, but this isn't possible when LOUD, obnoxious, cacophonous music is playing, and dozens of TVs are showing nothing but bad news. For a long time, I wondered, "If someone asks them to turn down the music, why don't they just turn it down? Why don't they accomodate people with special needs like HSPs (Highly Sensitive People)?" Well, today I realized why they don't do it: 1. Because they know that 15-30 percent of their members are HSPs, and if they can DRIVE THEM AWAY, they'll be able to pocket their monthly membership fees without those members putting wear and tear on their equipment. AND 2. Because they WANT their clientele stressed, on edge and pumped full of cortisol so they won't lose weight or get healthy, and thus keep paying their membership fees. They want to get people ADDICTED to the gym. (Here's an interesting tidbit: the LaGrange, NY franchise keeps a BUCKET of Tootsie Rolls right at the entrance. Why is this? Could this be another insidious manipulative technique to keep people addicted to the facility?) Over the year that I was a member, I complained to the manager about the excessive noise half a dozen times, suggesting they offer low-stimulus hours, but my requests and suggestions were ignored. The bottom line is, all the manager and staff of the LaGrange facility needed to do to keep my business was turn down the damn music when I asked them to. They refused, so I wrote this review instead. Not smart, guys. And to any LaGrange, NY managers or corporate executives who are thinking of replying to this review: Don't bother. I don't want to hear your disingenuous "we care," "we're all about inclusivity" blather. The fact is, everyone knows what you're doing is diversity washing: trying to make it look like you care and you're doing something about the problem when we all know you're not. Just shut up. Shut up, shut off your TVs, and turn the damn music down. Tomorrow, for the second (and last) time, I'm cancelling my Planet Fitness membership forever. To quote another member, Tina P., from her Yelp review: "F-ck this place."
