It looks like a little White House with black trim. It looks more like an artist studio than a craft store. If you are there for the supplies you will hardly notice. Tradewinds does framing and they have traditional art supplies (no glue guns or glitter). Framing- a lot of artists go here to frame shows. From what I have seen, the work is perfect and the prices are very good. Art supplies--go here for Windsor & Newton watercolors!! Even the Series 4 (the most expensive) paints were REALLY reasonably priced! They also have sheets of watercolor and printmaking paper, well priced sketchbooks, paintbrushes. I found a rather exotic specialty watercolor brush that I didn't even know existed...and I've consumed a lot of art supplies. John/Jon is the guy that has generally been there and helped me. If you talk to him you will find him kind and funny. I wish more artists knew about this place and supported it. It's a gem.

I left my phone number for him to "research" the issue. He NEVER called me back and this is the second time this happened. Seriously if you don't have your faculties together then it's time to hang up the saddle and retire. Your real estate is worth tons of money - sell the place vs. keeping hours of 8:30 to 5pm with no weekend hours. After talking through my needs, they helped me realize that I probably didn't need the more expensive Milwaukee model and that a Bosch laser level would be a better fit. They also pointed out that Home Depot was running a special sale with a better price. I really appreciate that kind of open and honest customer service. There was no upsell, and she was able to show the clusters of price ranges in their very large showroom so we could avoid the oh my gosh level of pricing. Currently, the best deal by far for all brass is Astor Marris but prices are fluctuating dramatically differently by brand. Their lowest price kitchen and bathroom pulls are not cheaply made products, they start at good, lots of intermediate better, and a startling selection for those for whom money is no object. We also got some work gloves and a smoke detector for good prices (better than Amazon).
