I had the pleasure of watching the office staff at the front desk do their thing this evening. I am not one to write reviews, but I felt it was important to let Fortis Gymnastics know how grateful we are for them. My daughter attends a PreK gymnastics class on Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm. She absolute loves it! She always has so much fun and I love that her coach is always so kind and supportive of her. I do not know all of the details, but there was a mom this evening who I believe has a child in the same class as mine who was unhappy. It did not sound like this was the first time. Lucky for me, I got to uncomfortably stand next to the front desk while this mom caused a scene and chewed the front desk out. I felt so bad for them. I just want to say that they did an amazing job of remaining calm and collected and continued to be kind as this woman just ripped them to shreds over her 5 year old not doing hard enough tricks. I am all for challenging our children, but we aren't training for the olympics in a 1 hour PreK class. Come on! One of the girls up front took the brunt of it and you could tell she was completely caught off guard and uncomfortable but still treated this woman with respect. I don't know what happened, but when did screaming at people and treating them poorly become ok for any reason? The disrespect and lack of human decency that she displayed was so saddening. The only experiences that I have had with any of their staff have been nothing but wonderful. They are always willing to help me and are so friendly. I am sure she is not the only nasty person that they have had to deal with so I hope that they know how many of us truly do appreciate them. You do not deserve to be treated that way and some of us recognize that. Thank you for everything that you do and for always greeting us with a smile even after dealing with people like that. read more

I will never let my girls do gymnastics ANYWHERE other than Fortis! They are amazing, safe, and most of all they care about the kids. I have 5 daughters and have been to more gymnastics gyms than I care to count (one of my older girls was a cheerleader and we were required to do tumbling wherever the team was sent) and I have always had concerns at other places (including USA) such as safety issues, young male coaches with their hands all over the teenage girls, and coaches ignoring the athletes while the girls stood around wasting their lesson time. None of this happens at Fortis. This is a smaller, family owned gym and they treat their gymnasts the way they would want their children treated. They are a great combination of tough and caring...not accepting slack behavior or mean girl attitudes; but knowing when someone needs a minute or an encouraging word. I have watched classes from Mommy and Me all the way up to their highest competition gymnasts and the care and attention is the same for all levels. For those who claim this place is dirty, I disagree wholeheartedly. The chairs were ripped at one point from their use by parents and siblings but they have been replaced. The bathrooms are always clean and I have watched everyone from the owners to jr coaches pitch in to take out trash, wipe up spills, and even clean up vomit! God bless them because that is something I would only do for my own children! I am truly and thoroughly impressed with this gym and I will never let my girls go anywhere else after seeing this amazing standard. read more

We have been at Fortis for over a year, and we absolutely love it. Both of our daughters have Saturday classes, and the only time theyve ever been cancelled is when the team had an out of state competition. That happened 1 time, and since then theyve gone to out of state competitions and the gym has remained open. One of our daughters has classes 3 days a week, so we see the gym often and deal with front desk staff and coaches regularly, and we have no complaints. The best thing about Fortis is their attitude about the kids they are training. They want these kids to be the best they can be, but not at the expense of their bodies or little spirits. To me, that is the MOST important thing. They have high, very attainable expectations from the kids they are training which include respect, discipline, maximum effort. We are grateful that we found Fortis when we did and are in awe of our daughters' progression in the sport...and they absolutely love going. I cannot even believe anyone would take positives away from this gym for hand me down chairs and full trash cans. Those things are NOT why youre sending your kids to a certain gym. Fortis gets right what actually matters, and we dont mind sitting on ripped chairs to watch our girls do what they love, and excel at it. read more

Fortis has became our home away from home and we love it! We were previously at a different gym and felt like it was all about number, how many kids can we cram into a class. Here at Fortis I feel like the owners and all of the coaches really care about the kids success. Everyone on staff is encouraging, uplifting, well trained, and all around amazing. We have been here for over a year now and do not plan on ever leaving, I recommend them to anyone I know looking for a place for their child, no matter if they are brand new or advanced. read more

This gym was the best thing that ever happened for my daughter. She was ready to quit gymnastics two years ago when we left a big gym and went to Fortis. They turned her into a passionate athlete. Her skills are constantly improving. She loves everything about Fortis. The coaches really care about the athletes. I love the family environment and good communication. Fund raising is never required but sometimes an option at times. Never any pressure. read more

Outstanding coaches and staff! If your child is willing to put in hard work this is defiantly the place to be! Fortis is producing future champions on and off the mats. Very pleased with this gym!! My girls had such a blast at the Fortis Winter Break Camp. They worked on Gymnastics , did crafts , and all around just had a lot of fun. It's great to have a safe environment for them to go while school is out that they can actually have a good time at. We absolutely love it and the girls can't wait for the spring break camp! read more

We love Fortis! This was the second gym my daughter went to and it's the perfect fit. The coaches and staff truly care about the kids. They have a wonderful balance of helping the kids progress while having fun and enjoying the sport. We also love supporting small family owned businesses. The owners are awesome! read more

This is definitely the best gym in the area! The staff and coaches at this gym are amazing! The coaches are so good with the kids, my daughter and son have so much fun here.
