While this review is two parted it is of my own volition…read more.. We took two charis to Andrew's. One for repair and one for possible refinishing/reupholstering. The chair needing repair was from an antique dining room set; someone leaned back in it and broke a rear leg. Let me tell you....it looks great! Seamless repair, perfect color/stain match and while, if you look closely, you can tell the manner in which it was repaired you know that it will be sturdy enough to return to full time use. $75 bucks well spent. The chair for reupholstering, well, it's a COOL chair but we paid $10 bucks for it at a garage sale and while I am positive it would look great refinished with a new seat, I can't justify ~$300 to get it re-done. Maybe one day, and when/if that day comes, Andrew's will definetly get my business.

So no apology for him cussing at me inside my home, or as he left yelling "this guys fucking…read morecrazy". No apology for him showing up 20 plus minutes early without warning while I was attempting to prepare the work for him, which is unprofessional in its own right. A disconnect in the difference in work is understandable, but there was more than one piece in my original email. The tone of the employee in my home ensured it didn't matter what he offered, he is not fit for this job. There was also not blue tape throughout the house, there was blue tape in two rooms, on five total pieces of furniture, two of which you already had photos of. Trying to defend yourself in the yelp review without even the decency to apologize for the character of your employee is embarrassing. Especially along with the fact that you're lying about the amount of items in my original email and the amount of markings in my home. Nor did you even acknowledge how the employee treated me in my own home. I'm happy to provide my email and yours as proof here that you were not clear about the pricing nor the amount of work you were doing.

Thad did an amazing job on our tall case clock that received some minor damage in a recent move. In fact, he did such an amazing job that you cannot even tell where he touched up or repaired. We highly recommend Restoration Plus.

After contacting them both by phone and email and providing detailed specs, I was virtually ignored when I arrived on site, even after confirming that someone would be there to assist me. The manager, Christopher, has the "my time is much more important than yours" attitude which is downright offensive. We are a small remodeling business and, as such, wear many hats. Our time is at least as important. All in, I wasted at least 3 hours on these guys, between phone calls, emails and 60 miles of driving to view their product. Save yourself some grief and avoid them - they have lots of competition and there is always someone better down the road. Something tells me that they won't be in business much longer anyway. Turning down potential business relationships and income streams is hardly the best approach to success. And your time (and money) is definitely more valuable than Christopher's!

We decided to contact Sharp over other refinishers because they are a local small family business with great reviews and an awesome informative website that thoroughly details the refinishing process, chip repair vs refinishing, exactly what to expect, and details on how to maintain and protect your tub. The process for requesting a quote and booking was easy and quick, I received a detailed quote the same day from Debbie with additional information on the process and exactly what to expect. The day of service, Jim took great care to cover and protect other surfaces in the bathroom and set up a good effective ventilation system before starting the refinishing process. He came back the next day to remove protective covering, replaced drain hardware with new and re-caulked around the tub and even another area of the bathroom that needed it! The refinished tub is absolutely beautiful, the finish is flawless. Jim is a true craftsman, it's obvious he and Debbie are committed to providing great customer service and top quality work.
