That's a 50% increase with 1 months notice. At $90, it was a good storage unit. Mid level quality. Not climate controlled. Nothing fancy. At $137? The value isn't there and the business ethics leave a lot to be desired. Thankfully we were moving our stuff out anyways because we only needed it for the short term but I feel bad for the people that don't have a place to store their stuff and are now being forced to pay the new (absurd) rate. If you're gonna raise the price, at least be like every other scummy corporation and practice the "price creep".

The facility is nice and new, and I was the first to use my climate controlled unit. The manager at the location was very helpful in explaining the doors, locks, payments, etc. My complaint there is that they didn't tell me in advance that they have a truck available for your use on the day your storage starts. That would have been so helpful! The units are clean and the building overall is well kept. They have a variety of sizes and if you call at the right time, you may be able to get a special price (as I did). One thing you should double check when you sign up is the term - I believe they advertise as 30 days, but if you are renting in February (like me), you may not get all 30 days that you pay for. Just make sure to discuss this up front with them. I definitely recommend this location if you ever have storage needs in Southwest Allen.

I was a customer of this facility for 7.5 years... until today…read more The facility is actually very clean and secure. However, the new manager is very unprofessional and rude. The long and short of it is that the new owners changed their storage rules. And without informing me, they unplugged some low amp trickle chargers that I had connected to my classic motorcycle collection, ruining two batteries and making it nearly impossible for me to move the 5 motorcycles that I had stored. They never informed me when the disconnected the power. Just let the batteries die with no notice. So after speaking to the new manager, I decided to move from the facility. He would not let me charge the batteries or use any power to re-inflate the low tires so I could move. Then today as I was moving out, he decided to come to the unit and confront me instead of just letting me move the last 2 bikes out. When I told him to leave me alone and let me continue to move out, he actually called the police and told them I threatened him! anyway, the police were fine with me and I got my bikes out of there to a much better facility. It's too bad that they are so bad with their customer service. And that manager needs to find a job where he doesn't have to deal with people!
