Okay. This facility has a few issues (cleanliness--or lack thereof--plus odd smells NOT related to body odor from workouts in some areas to name just a few.) But no facility is perfect, so I was willing to overlook those for use of the indoor track, which is quite nice. BUT, I am cancelling my membership now. Why? Starting in April, they will allow strollers on the track on Wednesdays. You can bet your last dollar that if they start it on just one day of the week, they will extend it to ALL days of the week. WTH?! That's all we need on the track. This will create chaos and congestion, mark my words. Plus, if they allow strollers, then they need to allow ALL things with wheels (rollerblades, etc.) GEEZ. This idiotic stroller idea is just a bad idea on so many levels. This is a WORKOUT FACILITY--not a "Mommy-and-me" daycare. So tired of these newbie parents being so entitled that they don't care how much trouble they cause anyone else. NO ONE will be able to get in a good track workout once these strollers start to appear. #TypicalCLuelessNaperville read more

This gym is so new and the classes offered along with the track and equipment make it a great place to workout. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because some of the staff members do have a staring problem and it's definitely creepy. read more

I love Fort Hill Fitness! I have been a member since they opened in August 2016. I have a basic membership but use the group exercise classes more than anything. All the teachers I've had have been super friendly, motivating, knowledgeable, and happy to help in any way they can. My favorite classes are Total Body Conditioning with Lisa, Bodypump with Sarah and Piyo with Cindy. Karen is also a great instructor teaching various classes. I use the childcare center almost daily and the price for unlimited childcare is such a great deal. Everyone who works there is more than capable of providing friendly and safe babysitting. My 3 year old loves coming as everyone is so sweet and welcoming. The staff takes such an interest in my kids and makes an effort to get to know me as well. My son has been coming since he was 3 months old and I love that they have a separate area for the really little ones. The facility is kept extremely clean and is brand new. My daughter has taken a gymnastics class and it's so cute. She adores it and the gym is very well equipped! Overall the facility is kept very clean and I love working out here. I've also made some great friends! You won't feel out of place or ostracized if you aren't super fit. Lots of friendly faces everywhere! read more

I joined when they first opened back in August but can only comment on the fitness area as I haven't utilized the open gyms, classes, etc. The facility itself is perfectly fine...the only things I wish they had are designated space for abs/stretching, some TRX straps, and more stairmasters. There are only two racks, but it's never really packed and I haven't had to wait to use anything thus far. The staff keeps the area clean and organized - something I appreciate having been a member at Lifetime down the street. Pretty adequate facility, especially given the price of a membership The reason it gets three stars is the staff - save for maybe two or three people, everyone I've interacted with/seen interact with others has been rather unpleasant. There's one guy who goes around offering unsolicited advice and has even gone as far as following me around the gym on one occasion and it just seems super inappropriate. Had it happened again I would have filed a complaint but luckily it hasn't. Overall nice new facility, just don't be shocked if you get weird vibes from the staff. read more

I was a long-time LifeTime Fitness member who left them because their equipment was aging, always broke and their hard sell on all their equipment having tv service was partly true, largely because the coax to the equipment was bad or the channels to that cable didn't work, whatever, you couldn't get tv or all the channels. After numerous complaints to management, nothing happened so I cancelled my membership. I checked out many other fitness areas and eventually settled on Fort Hill Rec Center, thinking's it was relatively new and when I visited and tested everything, all seemed good. All the same selling points; newer equipment, all have tv service and it was nice. I largely use their recumbent bikes due to a sports injury where I blew out my knee, like what I used at LT Fitness. Fast forward to today and guess what; their equipment is aging, out of their 5 bikes, there is always one or two with notes on it saying they are broke and nothing gets done, and their hard sell on all their equipment having tv service is also partly true, largely because the coax to the equipment was bad or all the channels don't work, whatever, you couldn't get tv or all the channels. Same issues. In fact, one of the bikes that had an "out of service" note on it lasted over a month, only to eventually being removed, and now down to 2 bikes that work overall, with all TV channels, down from 5! I have said something to Managment, but largely the same outcome, nothing. I am giving it more time, but if bikes are big to you, look for other fitness place options, as I am. read more

This has been one of our go-to places over the past year: it's a great gym for family members of all ages. The equipment is new and well-maintained, the facilities are clean, and the staff are super-friendly. Special thanks to Maura, an always upbeat instructor, and Kim, a very thoughtful manager -- my Mom was originally a little hesitant to sign up for a light aerobics class for seniors; they made her feel comfortable, and she now looks forward to her own version of sweatin' to the oldies! read more

Workout facilities are nice and brand new. Other facilities have comparable equipment and cleanliness though. Individual membership is inexpensive. If you want to sign up as a family, good luck navigating their a la carte menu that adds up faster than having one family membership. They have a great play place with slides and climbing. It is closed constantly and even when it is open, kids under 5 can't use it. Kids 5 and over go to school full day. So basically older kids can use it after 3:30 and on the weekends. Naperville Yard has the EXACT SAME play area and they allow one year olds to play. I was expecting a place for my family to go. This facility is not as family friendly as it appears. I would recommend for seniors and those who work out in the evenings. Other than that, there are much better options available. read more

Forthill staff members are rude and don't know how to run a facility in the slightest. Their online scheduling makes you think you can go play basketball with your friends. Turns out the entire gym is booked all day and you are forced to turn around and go home. Great online help such smart people there. I will definitely never renew my membership they have 0 idea what they are doing in the slightest. read more

So far so good. I joined with a 3 month track only membership, which cost $25. It's brand new and a nice track. The track is on the 2nd floor and for whatever reason it's warmer in the 1/3 of the track surrounding the gymnastics section than the 2/3 surrounding the basketball courts. Ideally the track is only like 6 laps per mile, but 9 laps per mile is better than most private gyms, and you can't really beat the price. I can't complain much as this is a brand new park district gym at a great price and helps me avoid the treadmill. read more

Fort Hill is a nice facility that has plenty of room and activities for the young, the old, and the in between! However, my family felt very unwelcome by Grace when she was disputing the price with the front desk gentlemen. It was incredibly unprofessional. Rather than giving a warm welcome to out of towners, she made us feel unwanted in Naperville. Minus two stars for the poor customer service. read more

I'm a former college basketball player and played in the fort hill 2018-2019 basketball league. It is the worst ref'd league I've ever played in. The refs decide if they like your team or not then call accordingly. Very sad. I had several team mates get badly injured as the refs let the games get out of hand with players getting tackled on layups, undercut, or hit mid air on jump shots with no call. There are many good leagues around. Dont waste your time or risk getting injured playing in a mediocre league with refs that have no idea how to call a game. One ref was actually 70 years old and couldn't even get up and down the court. Truly very sad. I expected more from a naperville league. read more
