My sister arranged a birthday party here for my nephew and niece. A very impressive set-up here. The kids enjoyed their hearts out and were kept busy by some excellent hosts. Definitely a great place to host a birthday party

Picked this place for our sons birthday but it was only ok. Wish the girl interacted more with the kids. It felt like a recess not a party..

They allow bullies to stay on the Women's Volleyball league and A-level competitive players to play against less-experienced players (B/BB, C, D-levels) in 1 co-rec league. It causes alot of court/game problems regarding positions and cohesiveness to play together safely. I was on the Winter/January 2024 VB league and experienced negative incidents from female players. As a long-standing BB/B level VB player, I bring my positive attitude in playing with teams and mates but many players don't share the same standards. I was born legally 65% deaf and my disability often confuses people since I can't engage in normal conversation, often mistakenly read as being anti-social. Everyone in leagues I play on are alerted about my hearing disability. 1/29/2024: teammate Donna (same team Spike-N-Spice, captain Brandy Valentine) cowardly pushed/jabbed my back from behind during a game. I was caught off-guard considering she and I have never had problems, but I sensed anomisity from her the beginning. No avail as to why. Recollecting myself, I ignored her cowardly aggresssiveness and continued playing with proper sportmanship. She never explained to me why she pushed me nor did I ask her and I couldn't trust her anymore. Captain Brandy chose to not act upon this assault, and I took myself off the team. I emailed Dundee Township managment providing full incident details. Tammy Greco, Superintendent of Rec, contacted me back only saying general words of "Thank you for sharing your feelings, it's been addressed." There were no resolutions given to me as to the outcome of Donna's bad behavior. This incident wasn't based on "feelings", it was based on a physical assault per videotapes. Since the township choose to not act, I don't feel safe to continue coming here, assured that behavior like this won't be allowed.

I initially paid over the phone, and although the charge posted to my bank account, somehow it never registered with the park district. Because of that, I had to dispute the charge. To make matters worse, the park district is now trying to fight the dispute even though it was clearly a double charge situation. Before the party, I spoke with Whitney and was informed that extending the party to 5:30 PM would not be an issue because the final party slot was from 3:30-5:30 PM. The hosting itself was extremely disorganized. The kids did not begin playing games until nearly 4 PM, despite the party already being underway, and they were supposed to eat at 4:30 PM. Later, I asked again about extending the party to 5:30 PM, and the hosts stated, "We don't mind." While I left briefly to pick up pizza, I also spoke with Crystal at the front desk, who informed me she had spoken with Olivia, the host lead, and after a meeting near the front desk, everyone confirmed everything was fine regarding the extension. When I returned with the pizza, Crystal and both hosts again reassured me there were no issues and that the party could continue until 5:30 PM. Then at 4:53 PM, Whitney suddenly called and said, "Just to confirm, your party ends at 5 PM." At that point, I was beyond confused because every host, front desk employee, and supervisor I had spoken with had already confirmed otherwise. To make matters worse, once we were back in the party room, the hosts suddenly told me the kids could not eat in the room and instead had to eat in the hallway. My daughter was not even allowed to sing "Happy Birthday" properly in the room. I literally had to sing Happy Birthday to my daughter in the hallway. The entire experience felt chaotic, poorly communicated, and incredibly inconsiderate. It honestly felt like Whitney found every reason possible to make my daughter's special day difficult instead of enjoyable. Ironically, one of the hosts later apologized to me directly and even stated, "We really don't mind since there isn't another party." This completely contradicted what Whitney had been saying. First it was that another party was coming, then it changed to "custodial needs to come in." From the reservation process to the actual event, this was one of the worst party experiences I have ever had, and I deeply regret choosing this location for my daughter's birthday.

It's an affordable gym with good parking and friendly staff. Very convenient for DG residents. However lately the quality has diminished. No one seems to care to keep the equipment or bathroom clean. They've let go of staff that worked hard to keep the facilities running smoothly. Towels are starting to look like rags. They've opened the track for free for non-residents and lucky us WE get to pay more. How is that fair?! In fact, since making the track free the quality of the gym has gotten much worse. I mean, If you're not paying for the facility why care right? Super disappointed. Despite multiple attempts to contact the district, they are unresponsive and uncaring. It's worth considering another gym that cares more. But if you're not picky and want low membership fees, give it a shot.

The only time available was 8:30pm which was surprising how fast the slots booked up. I got a call about a week before the reservation from Maxine explaining to me that the youth soccer league schedule came out and they would have the field from 8:30pm til 9:30 pm at the latest. She apologized profusely and gave me some options. She asked if I wanted to start at 9:30pm, or come in at 8:30 and play dodgeball/kick ball/field hockey until the other field opened, or reschedule. We opted on coming in at 8:30 and playing dodgeball until our field opened up. To make up for the last minute change, Maxine said she'd buy us a round of drinks. On the day of, we had Christian as our host. Maxine had informed him of everything we discussed so there were no problems. We ended up getting beer for everyone in our party as an apology which was awesome. We even got a party room to put all our stuff down in since I booked this for my birthday. There were plates, cups and napkins set out for us. Bubble soccer was so much fun! It's super exhausting and hot inside the bubbles. Christian was there to be our referee but we told him we weren't really playing that seriously. Everything went so smoothly and was handled very professionally! I make this review more as a warning to the other parents who send their children to Chesterbrook. My wife and I had enough issues dealing with the "educators" at Chesterbrook when our child came home with a head injury or covered in human feces - but if you batter our child, you have started something you cannot stop. Perhaps other parents reading this will feel the same way. To be sure, we are in no way 'helicopter parents' and believe in discipline. But, there is, of course discipline and abuse, and this crossed the line. Our son became scared and hesitant to attend Chesterbrook, and would tell us approx. a week later about this incident. Upon hearing this, we met with the "principal" - who showed us the video of the "teacher" being physical with our child. Oddly enough, the principal agreed that the contact was inappropriate and that steps would be taken to remedy the situation. Upon picking up our child a mere three hours later, we were told that the principal had been fired. Following that, in an act of retaliation, we were told that our child was moved to a class of children two years younger than him. When we met with the district manager (or whatever she claimed to be), she not only admitted that she had never video and laughed in our face while we met with her. Completely unprofessional and indicative of somebody who cannot handle their job responsibilities, much less have some control over the well being of children. I could (and would like to) name the relevant individuals, but that will only serve to have this post removed. Nevertheless, those responsible will be held responsible in court. But, my advice - ask questions and get your child out of Chesterbrook asap.

A few months ago, we were looking for a new place to send our children. I had really had it with all of the changes in staff and leadership at the school. I really loved the teachers when we first started but the atmosphere had changed and the teachers were very unhappy. I was beginning to see that it was hurting my children's experience at school. Right before we were leaving Chesterbrook, there was announcement that a new principal (Jen) would be transferring from the Plainfield Chesterbrook. I've never seen a school turn around so quickly (and I have worked in education for 15 years myself). I noticed an immediate change in teacher morale, cleanliness of the school and communication with parents. Because of the changes, we decided to stay. Jen sets high expectations for her teachers and is a great communicator. The teachers seem happy and the kids also seem much happier. Jen has also led new changes such as getting organic milk into the school, ordering new furniture and adding new learning materials. I hope the school continues to make these amazing improvements. As for the curriculum, my 4 year old just read her first book last night, teaches me words in Spanish, can add and subtract and talks about all of the "cool things Ms. Becca teaches her" at dinner each night. My kids are safe, appreciated and have a lot of fun at school. I'm not sure I can ask for much more!
