We only got to go down into 2 cellars because the 3rd one had a private event. Went into one old hotel. Heard lots of history but not many accounts of ghost sightings or paranormal activity. The worst part was that we were left stranded. The tour ended abruptly at our 3rd stop and we were given no instructions on how to find our way back. If my friend hadn't been from Ft. Collins we would have been totally lost. It would have been better if the guide had escorted us back to the starting point. On the positive side the guide seemed pretty knowledgeable. read more

Did the ghost and goodies tour with my two girls. They are ages 7 and 10 for reference and were excited to kick off the Halloween season with this tour. Overall our guide was great and dressed in old school garb- she was willing to answer any of our questions. The tour stopped at Mary's Mountain Cookies and the Kilwins for the "treats", which were samples of various cookies and fudge respectively. I do think the tour could use more. In my opinion and that of my daughters it was VERY elementary and limited on the "spooky" factor. Some of the business employees shared stories along our travels, which I appreciated. But otherwise many of the stops were summarized with, "well it's spooky or maybe there IS a ghost". I appreciated to history but the spooky factor was lacking and overall amount of exposure to the businesses. Honestly would recommend this tour for toddler ages and maybe a bit older. My girls didn't think its was scary or spooky at all. read more

The stories were well told, and overall it was a decent tour. Seemed pretty basic and what really could've turned it up a notch is if our tour guide used paranormal devices commonly used on various ghost-centric TV shows (Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, etc) such as EVP Recorders and EMF Meters. Our guide actually mentioned that there was a former guide (Logan?) that DID use them, and I instantly wondered why ALL the tour guides didn't? We were afforded the opportunity to take our own pictures in various areas and on two occasions I did witness an orb while preparing to take the picture but when the camera finally flashed there were no orbs in the picture taken. Overall, this was a pretty average tour with room for potential. read more

This tour completely exceeds all expectations! We thought it'd just be a fun thing to do but we were blown away by the access to historical places in town and the level of detail our guide went into recounting the history and haunts of each place. Our guide was Logan and he is nothing short of incredible. He has the most sincere enthusiasm for guiding the tour and regaling everyone with the stories of the spirits. His enthusiasm is contagious. The guide was fantastic at telling historical stories however the tour itself was lacking greatly. We had 5 stops; an ally way, what use to be a hotel, the outside of what use to be the old jail, a basement which was now used as storage and small part of what was once part of the CSU underground steam system which included a filled in wall where the mortuary once cremated the deceased. At times it was difficult to hear the guide. The basement stop was extremely hot. The underground was moldy and for me was very difficult to breathe while there. This was also the longest stop along the walk. read more

We did the "Ghosts and Goodies" Tour with some friends of ours from out-of-town. Shane was a great guide -- he added a nice touch of theater to his persona and carried himself with aplomb. I especially liked the top hat! I also appreciated that the businesses we visited offered tasty samples or cute little gifts. It's a perfect way to experience Fort Collins and try a number of local eateries. Best of all, you get to hear some spooky stories while you're at it. My favorite part was getting to see the basements and tunnels beneath all these businesses we take for granted. History is like an onion -- it's just a matter of peeling back the layers! It definitely kindled my interest in this town's history, and now I feel like I have an "inside scoop" about some of the local lore surrounding the place and its founders. Oh, and on a side note, I've done Ghost Tours in both Austin and New Orleans, and none of those let you into the basements/tunnels beneath their businesses, so Fort Collins has a definite leg up! read more

"M" was our charming host and introduced us to some "dark" history of Fort Collins. My 11 and 14 year old grandsons did not find it to be scary enough, but it was plenty scary for other travelers! Most of the tour took place in basements with uneven surfaces and steep steps so it might be difficult for some people to navigate, but otherwise I think the whole family would enjoy this "spooky" tour. read more

My boyfriend and I found the flier for the Haunted Pub Tour in a restaurant in Fort Collins. That night I set up a tour for the next day. When we arrived, we were the only people on the tour! I couldn't guess why because we had SO much fun! (despite the hangover the next day) We will definitely do one of these again if we are in Fort Collins. Our guide was also FANTASTIC! We took the Ghosts and Dessert tour and were not impressed. The guides were good and the stories somewhat interesting but there just wasn't enough to the tour. We saw a few basements of stores and ate a couple sample desserts. it was okay but nothing special. Just wanted more to the tour. I knew it was only an hour tour but when it was over I thought...that's it?? Guess I've just taken too many other good ghost tours with more meat to them. read more

We felt like we did not get what we paid for. We signed up for a carriage ride for our family of 7 and a ghost tour. We got a "hay?" wagon with 7 other people in it and a fella telling stories about people from Ft.Collins as we drove by the places. We went into two dank smelling basements with more wondering "how do these places and stories relate to ghosts" and that was it. The best part was the Percheron horses. (pulling our hay wagon which was supposed to be a carriage) We've been on ghost tours all over where you actually have been able to go into the places you are talking about with the lights on and have had much better experiences. read more

I bought two tickets for the ghost tour and only read the part on the website saying "All tours begin promptly at 7:30", I was unaware that they had added additional times around the Halloween season to accommodate the demand for tickets (which if I would have read the confirmation email that stated my tour began at 6:35 I would have known as oppose to running late), Laurie called and asked if I was still going to be able to make it which I was gloriously late for, the mishap was completely on my part, but Laurie was so sweet and after explaining to her my mistake she graciously said she could squeeze us in to the 7:30 tour that night since there were only 2 of us down for my reservation. I don't know if they could have done it if I had more but she was willing to work with me and I was so impressed by her professionalism and her willing to squeeze us in. There were 47 people in our tour group, a little larger than normal, but within minutes of beginning the tour I could see why they are so popular! All of the guides are amazing and really know their history when it comes to Fort Collins! Shane was phenomenal, all the way from his passion for what he did, to his top hat! The world needs more people like Shane! Ali was awesome too! The guides did an incredible job with the history of the sites they showed us and incredibly informative! After doing this tour I can honestly say that I am looking at Fort Collins in a brand new light and I will gladly partake in another ghost tour! These tours are phenomenal and leave you wanting more!
